QB Daniel Jones, IND (4 Viewers)

Starting Jones over Goff this week. Figure Cleveland can't score enough and Lions will run ball alot once they get the lead.

Please don't revert back to Giants Jones this week or ever again.
If Jones has good game against Rams and Colts win. I'll be a believer and Jones will end up at top 8-12 QB by years end .

Hard to believe almost this is the same QB as previous years.
Amazing what good coaching and change of scenery can do for some players.
 
Picked him up when Daniels went down, hoped he'd hold the fort while Jayden was out and potentially be trade filler after J Jayden got back. Now I'm going to drop him one way or another this week.
 
When saw week 5 on schedule and saw Goff in a shootout with Borrow I cldnt wait ...But now starting Jones again...
Lions will be running and kicking field goals all game Goff won't be passing much. Bengals look depleted

Why would they be kicking field goals all game? Bengals defense is awful.
 
I think he’s become an every week starter for me. Sat him this week for Caleb and it’s gonna cost me a win most likely (unless Gibbs can outscore Kenny walker by 20 points.) welcome to the starting slot Dan.
 
Steichen's contract is through 2028.
Jones should have an extension worth at least 3 years to match.
Taylor's contract ends 2026. I don't see why he wouldn't extend because this offense is providing him HoF numbers. And he will get paid as well.
 
Surprised he isn’t using his legs more but the guy has been money all year long. Don’t know when or if I can put Daniels in for him. His floor is so high in that offense. Could have done even more if not pulled for the 4th quarter. And he’s done it vs Denver so he can vs anybody
 
I'm trying to stay grounded. He has saved my season after losing Burrow.
It is interesting that we know he can also run. It's just that he hasn't had to.
I wonder if there is still some meat left on the bone based on that fact.

I don’t want him to run. That’s how you get hurt. The hell with your fantasy team.

There’s meat left on the bone knowing Taylor surely can’t go for 3 tds every game.

Or can he!?!?!

I'm still nervous Abt starting him. My brain keeps thinking he's still a NY GIANT.
It has trouble accepting his success. So I start Goff most weeks.
Happy he came through this week as usual.
Now that sounds weird.

Not weird at all. I think most fantasy players get a mental block on players for one reason or another. To our detriment sometimes.
 
I have Maye so I'm looking at deals. I am very rb needy right now.

Who do you get? I think I can get one of these for Jones 2.0:

I tried trading Jones for wr help and no body wld even make an offer. I doubt anyone gives you anything great at rb. But Walker or Charbs should be fair for Jones.
 
5 turnovers and he still scored 3 points less than his projection in my scoring. The Steelers were all over him all day.

One pick was a deflected pass.

One Jones threaded two of his own receivers to his the DB in the chest.

Not a great look. But at least you still got some points out of a 5 turnover day.
 
Yeah, the fumbles were from the pressure with Watt and company reaching in to knock the ball away. Not worried about that. My main issue with his picks is he was back to staring down his primary read. Had easy passes batted down, etc. He's got to be better about looking away safeties and coming back. They are just reading his eyes. Overall, he's still been great when running Steichen's brilliant offensive scheme, and I don't think there will be many days that the 0-line gets beat like they did on Sunday. So still optimistic - as long as Jones doesn't get tight or starts thinking about turning it over. Steichen has to be a good shrink now.
 
On the radio broadcast they said the Steelers defense worked on swatting passes at the line in practice...and it obviously worked. They figured out Daniel Jones and now it is up to the rest of the copycat league to do the same. If they do...Jones could come crashing back down to Earth as NYG Jones. And nobody wants that!

Jones is 6'5, Not worried Abt his passed being batted down and league trying to copy Pitts Def. . If he were K Murray or Bryce Young ,it could be a thing.
 
In a short bench league I have ended up with 3 QBs:
  • Daniels - Hurt but still hopeful he can return. A couple nice matchups to end the year if so.
  • Daniel Jones - Has been a solid streamer. Has great matchups to end the year. After Houston he gets Jax, Sea, San Fran and Jaguars.
  • Burrow - He was sitting on the WW and as soon as I heard he was close to coming back I snagged him
Fast forward to today and I am wanting to semi drop Jones. It's risky due to Daniels and Burrow both underperforming/major injury concerns, but I simply think very highly of DJ and JB.

Would you keep Jones to avoid someone else picking them up and starting them vs. me in the offs?
 
It’s Jones or Trevor Lawrence for me. I’m a strong favorite this week, but I’m going to wait to see what happens on Thursday and Friday before making any decisions.

Same boat but in Superflex with Jones, Lawrence and Purdy. I think I’m currently rolling Jones and Lawrence due to weather and stifling Cleveland defense. But nice that we get the chance to wait and see how Thursday players work out in my matchup to make a final decision.

You know Jones is going to produce after this week.

Burrow probably will hit his stride fast and he is back.

Daniels we know when for sure he is back or how fast he will get up to speed. Also he wasnt exactly dynamite before injury.

Dropping Jones is gifting someone else increased points at the position after this week. Dropping Daniels means someone else is wasting a roster spot on him and having a choice to make each week.

To my mind Daniels is the easy drop and Jones is a keep.

This week I hate Jones match up so couldn't blame you for riding with Burrow.
