QB Jameis Winston, NYG (4 Viewers)

Had to go back to work, but the early part of his throwing they were keying in on him so much you didn't get to see the completion or maybe incompletion on the receiving end...

@NFL_CFB 6m

Winston on why 102 throws: I'm a competitor. I want to show everything.
@NFLSTROUD 2m

Bucs coach Lovie Smith and GM Jason Licht were impressed with high volume of 102 throws by Jameis Winston. Obviously in good shape
‏@NFL_CFB 49s

Winston on suspension: I changed after the Clemson game drastically. That's the first time I've been told 'you can't play.' That hurt me.
@Lana 14m

jameis just said "it's not about history, i want to be in the hall of fame one day", which is literally about history
@NFL_CFB 3m

Winston: I haven't changed, I've grown. I've grown into role of being a QB, not just one of the guys.
@NFL_CFB 32s

Winston says he hasn't really made final decision about whether to attend draft.

@PewterReport: Winston said he isn't going to the NFL Draft because he wants to be around his grandparents that can't travel due to diabetes, old age.

Shame on him.

I'd parlay the #1 Winston pick into about 3 - 1st round picks and maybe more if I were running the show in Tampa. No way I risk a pick that high on this guy.

Jameis Winston - QB - Seminoles
QB "guru" George Whitfield said he was told by one NFL source Jameis Winston was "shadowed on a Combine flight" by another team.
Never change, NFL. For real, the NFL thinks they have no limits, critiquing every prospects' "character" like they have been trained for it and pulling off amateur spy tactics like this. There have been other stories of teams wanting to put players in social situations to observe behavior. We wonder how the people making these decisions would react in such situations.

Pretty soon all these athletes are going to go Marshawn Lynch on the media. Every little thing they say is twisted into a joke or gets printed out of context to make them look stupid.

and you just have to assume it was tampa that did it who else would it be. teams are getting crazy.

Kinda of need another team willing to give that up
Ask Washington they did it with RGIII. They would probably do it again with this guy :lmao:
The Rams totally cashed in on that trade. And a few years later, they are picking 10th. Skins are picking 5th. Which tells you two things. RGIII trade hasn't worked out, and if you don't have a QB, you ain't got squat.

Tampa doesn't have to take Winston, but they should take a QB. If they like Winston's pro prospects better, they 'have' to take him.

I've been through this in several threads, but the Bucs aren't passing on the opportunity to draft a franchise QB.

Wearing a gold chain at his Pro Day :wall:
:lmao: my god you're like a cartoon character now
Did I say it was a huge issue? The point is why do it?

Not that I expect you Florida guys to respond any differently.
Why wouldn't you wear it? Who cares?

You're a real strange dude.
Show me one another QB who wore a gold chain to his Pro Day. I'll wait.

I'm a strange dude? I'm not the one fawning over a rapist because he played in my home state and throws the ball pretty well.

When the bucs screw up and take this guy, Lovie will be gone after the 2016 season and this guy will be a backup at best but most likely out of the league.
I fear you will be right, but hope you aren't
I am right.

Lmao

Tell me more about how he reminds you of Jamarcus and Byron Leftwich.
Just hide and watch buddy. You see, the so called expert analysts need to keep their gigs. They know he sucks but can't say it even though they will be proven right.

Jimbo Fisher QB's: EJ Manuel, Ponder, Jamarcus (at LSU).

What he said about Russell at the time:

"I've always believed that you measure a quarterback on his bad days, not his good days," said Jimbo Fisher, who was Russell's offensive coordinator at LSU (Fisher left to take the same position at Florida State following the 2006 season). "When you're not having your best day, how do you respond? Can you stay into it and manage the game? JaMarcus knew he was a great player with great ability -- and he also knew, if something went wrong or if he messed something up, that he would usually get another chance.

"If he got that ball at the end of the game, he was going to beat your tail -- and he knew it."

“He is very talented and he is very intelligent,” Fisher said. “Intelligence isn’t an issue with him.”
Take whatever Fisher says with a grain of salt.
Exactly my point in the above post.

This guy is the next David Carr, Vince Young , Tim Tebow, etc on my radar. I will be ruthless in my analysis of this turd come next season as Capella pours on the excuses. It will go like this: He has no O-line, then it will be his RBs suck, then it will be the OC and playcalling, then it will be Lovie then he will be gone.

They all want Mariota at 2. No one gives a rat's ### about trading up to take this guy. They'll let TB make the mistake.

Holy cow, the guy needs a bra.

Jesus, how did this guy get to the GM level? - Bucs general manager Jason Licht told ESPN. "For [Florida State people], he's a tremendous person. They trust him fully. You can't find a bad thing said about him." How about standing up on a table and blurting out **** her right in the *****.

This disaster really couldn't happen to a more deserving team especially after last year mismanaged cluster.

And I'm sure you'll be in every...single...Bucs thread ripping everything about them.

You know....like you do now.

Rotoworld:

FSU QB Jameis Winston is "the clear choice for the No. 1 overall pick by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers," wrote ESPN's Todd McShay.
McShay, as you might already be aware, grades Winston behind only Andrew Luck amongst QB prospects in the past 10 years, and on the same level as Ben Roethlisberger and Matt Ryan as prospects. "To me, Winston has the look of a No. 1 overall pick based on what he's done on the field, and I consider him the most likely player to go with the first choice, unless the Bucs feel like they can't trust him off the field," McShay wrote.
