QB Jameis Winston, NYG (3 Viewers)

He could have 20 INTs, but hopefully closer to 15.

I think he has a real shot at breaking the rookie passing TD record (26 - Manning and Wilson?), partly due to the receiving talent.

Two other 1.1 picks

Peyton Manning - 26/28 TD/INT 3,739 yards 56.7% completion percentage 6.5 Y/A

Andrew Luck - 23/18 TD/INT 4,374 yards 54.1% completion percentage 6.4 Y/A
In leagues where they don't subtract for INTs he will be very good value.

Maybe it's nothing, I don't keep up with Bucs football much despite living in the area....but they were talking about Winston's troubles on the radio, about him not being able to throw the fade route, and how it's supposed to be his bread and butter throw to take advantage of his giant receivers. Maybe it's something new the new Bucs OC can mask?

Course that is the same guy who compare Austin Sefarian Jenkins to Tony Gonzalez so what does he know?

The fade grow requires timing and synchronization between a WR and his QB, perhaps more than any other route in football. I think it just shows that it's still camp and everyone is working to get familiar with each other.

Rotoworld:

NFL Network's Jeff Darlington came away from observing rookie Jameis Winston's "first several NFL practices" feeling "extremely underwhelmed."

Darlington admits he isn't an NFL scout, and this was obviously a small sample size, but he says he was "left scratching my head" after watching Winston's first several practice performances. Darlington acknowledges Winston has gotten better recently, particularly in the Bucs' practices since last weekend. "Winston just needs some time," Darlington concluded. "I'm now more convinced that he'll be just fine than I was only a few weeks ago."

He's got his feet now. God forbid he's not flawless on his first NFL drive ever. He'll be fine with those trees on the outside to bail him out.

Came back with a nice drive. Made some nice throws vs the Minn 1s. Not sure why Jackson dove on that long catch. He had no need to leave his feet.

He also didn't attack the ball on that 3rd down pass near the goal line. That was a good throw by Winston. Squandered that opportunity and settled for the FG.

I didn't see the Bucs huddle on that last series and Winston looked like he was calling plays at LOS. Pretty cool to see a rook do that.

Was thinking the same thing. Also thought ASJ was way too timid and didn't attack the pass vs. Waynes. I mean he has like 6 inches and 50 lbs on him and waited on the ball. I guess this is all preseason muddles.

That's the most important thing IMO...he's advanced in the understanding of the offense and seems to control the huddle well. He's nervous and not throwing well, but I don't think that's him.
