QB Lamar Jackson, BAL (1 Viewer)

Lamar Jackson (illness) returned to practice Friday.

Jackson said his hip was sore after a late-game flip over the goal line in the team's Week 2 win over Kansas City. It was apparently a "little stomach bug" that kept Jackson out of Thursday's practice -- a sigh of relief for the team after Jackson's COVID-19 issues. Jackson and the Ravens are set to run roughshod over the middling Lions defense this week. Baltimore's implied total of 28.75 points is the third highest of the week

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Lamar Jackson (illness) is "expected to play" in Week 3 against the Lions.

Jackson was held out of practice early in the week but returned on Friday. He gets the lowly Detroit defense this week and should have no problem running over them for four quarters. After rushing for 293 yards through two weeks, Jackson enters Week 3 as a top-three fantasy option at his position.

Lamar Jackson (back) returned to practice Friday.

Baltimore offensive coordinator Greg Roman said Jackson's "little back flare up" -- which kept him sidelined during Thursday's practice -- wasn't a serious injury. Jackson is practicing Friday and will play Sunday against the Broncos barring a setback. Jackson is, as always, a top fantasy option, though the Ravens' shoddy offensive line and the tough Denver front four could cause problems for Baltimore's offense in Week 4.

Anyone worried to start him this week?  Have to admit I get a little anxious when a mobile QB has back issues.

Nope, Lamar is a gamer.  Starting with full confidence.

* More concerned he'll eventually miss a game or two due to covid at some point.  Haven't read anywhere that he's vaccinated yet, and it seems likely there will be a close contact situation at some point over the next few months. 🤕

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Lamar Jackson (back) is expected to play in Week 4 against the Broncos.

Jackson is dealing with what was described as a "little back flare-up" by Greg Roman, his offensive coordinator. After sitting out the first two practices of the week, Jackson logged a full practice on Friday, indicating that the back injury is not a major issue. He faces a stout Denver defense this week but his astronomical rushing production gives him a near-QB1 floor every week. Through three weeks, Jackson is averaging 83.7 rushing yards per game, a career-high for the former MVP. He should remain in every starting fantasy lineup.

I personally think we are on the verge of a Lamar breakout in terms of passing yards.  I was incredibly impressed with passing this past weekend but at the same time a bit disappointed that his rushing stats are going to slowly start fading away. Although it’s taken a bit longer this eerily reminds me of what happened with Josh Allen.

Just for a minute......imagine Lamar Jackson with a weapon like Deandre Hopkins.....just for a minute.

Lamar Jackson completed 37-of-43 passes for 442 yards and four touchdowns in the Ravens' 31-25, Week 5 win over the Colts Monday night, adding 14 carries for 62 yards.

The Ravens' consecutive games of 100-plus rushing yards streak snapped in this one, but this was a true breakout performance from Jackson. It was a brutal first half for the Ravens, as Jackson threw for just 107 scoreless yards, with Baltimore trailing 10-3 at the break. Baltimore then fell into a 22-3 hole, and then it was a Jackson onslaught from that point forward. The Ravens put up 22 unanswered points, and Jackson blew his previous career high of 324 passing yards out of the water by throwing for 335 in the final 30 minutes. Jackson's four touchdown passes were two each to Mark Andrews (11-147-2) and Marquise Brown (9-125-2) with Brown catching the game-winner from five yards out in overtime. It was truly a euphoric fantasy performance from Jackson, who also tossed a pair of two-point conversions in this one and completed 86% of his throws. Jackson gets the Chargers at home in Week 6.

Hollywood Brown has to be one of the most underrated receivers out there. He looks uncover -able to me. Bateman coming back soon too. Get your popcorn ready.

I believe the Ravens 4th QTR and OT consisted of 4 straight TD drives... each was 70+ yards. Fantasy points ringing up like a pinball machine!

Nice call.  Can you suggest any stocks I should buy?

Don't you mean Cameron Frye?
No, he was sick.  Plus his dad's car got totally jacked.  Liked the Colts defense last night.

FBG Grahamburn was in bed, not sick, and choose to stay there.  He fell asleep and missed out.  Instead he could have watched Lamar throw that strike and hit the stereo with a baseball...I mean Brown for that game-winning TD.

I beg to differ.  Cameron was not sick and was just depressed and wanted to stay in bed.  Grahamburn (i.e. Cameron) needed a friend like Ferris to make him stay up to experience life to it's fullest.

😄 If only all FBGs had a friend like Bueller (...Bueller?...Bueller?) to have their back when they're feeling down and may even do something drastic.  Like going to bed right before Lamar Jackson goes ham.

In the end, we can all agree that Lamar Jackson is very popular. The sportos, the motorheads, geeks, sluts, bloods, wastoids, dweebies, ########s – they all adore him. They think he’s a righteous dude.

Hoping for a Bal/KC, Bal/Ind, Cle/LAC type shootout again this week.  Rather than a Bal/Det or Bal/Den type game.  Somewhere in between would be ok too. :D

"He's not a good passer"->sets passing records
"uh, defensive coordinators will figure him out"->sets more records
"uh, he'll get hurt"->like Justin Fields, Joe Burrow, Tyrod Taylor, Tua Tavigliola, Daniel Jones, Jimmy Garoppolo, Trey Lance, Russell Wilson, Ryan Fitzpatrick, and that's just in the first five weeks.

Jackson is absolutely in the elite tier of NFL QBs, with Mahomes, Murray, Wilson, Rodgers, and maybe Josh Allen if you squint. You can make arguments for various of those guys but there's no argument that Jackson one of the best QBs in the game, with the potential to be one of the best QBs the game has ever seen.

Lamar Jackson completed 19-of-27 passes for 167 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions in the Ravens' 34-6, Week 6 win over the Chargers, adding eight carries for 51 additional yards.

Jackson was electrifying on the short week coming off Monday night's stirring victory over the Colts, but it was his trio of elderly running backs in Latavius Murray, Le'Veon Bell and Devonta Freeman who got the fantasy glory. With Ty'Son Williams healthy scratched, each of the Ravens' "Old Three" found the end zone. The Chargers have a soft run defense by design, and Lamar's dual-threat opens up massive holes. Jackson's score was a nine-yard strike to Mark Andrews. His first interception was a truly awful throw where he didn't see the linebacker dropping back over the middle of the field. His second was Rashod Bateman's fault, with the rookie letting a perfect pass bounce up into the air for a pick. Running as hot as anyone in the league right now, Jackson gets a divisional test in Week 7 vs. the Bengals.
