It just blows my mind how he's not able to play on day 28 of his injury, but on day 29 the coach is extremely confident he's good to go. Like how can you be out on Sunday and good to go on Monday after a month off?
I guess the answer is they did not want him to return and play two games in 4 days. That makes some sense, but awfully cavalier mindset with a 1-5 record.

The Ravens were begging to drop down to 1-6, ready to start figuring out tee times and the Bears gave life to their season
Even though I know it would be in Miami's best interest to lose on TNF this week, I still hope they give the Ravens a fistful and send them out of Hard Rock as losers

And the whole Jackson injury thing from the getgo has just been...strange.
No kidding I honestly felt like it really showed what the Ravens think of the Bears.
To be fair here, the Ravens got 2 all pros and 2 former pro bowlers back from injury. Its not like the week 8 Ravens were the same team as the week 5 Ravens. Not saying either of you are saying it, but I think there is this idea that the Ravens were just down Lamar, and that the Bears were playing a 1-5 caliber team, when they absolutely weren't.
That's actually no what I was inferring at all.
The reality is they were 1-5 and it makes most weeks must win. That's what I was talking about.
What are your thoughts on why Lamar didn’t play this past Sunday? Contract issue? Ravens wanted him to and he would rather not? Both sides think it’s best to wait until Miami?
I know it is all speculation at the end of the day, but I have a hard hard time believing that Mahomes or Allen just miss this much time to a strange injury.
I think it really was they know the AFC North is theirs for the taking, and they didn't wanna push 2 games in 4 days to a guy who wins with quickness.
My point I was trying to make, was that I didn't think the Ravens beating the Bears was an upset, and I don't think that is a knock on the Bears. I think Huntley>>>Rush (still no idea what that was about) and the defense is back to being mostly healthy, and not the sieve it was earlier in the season. Getting back arguably the 2 best players in the NFL at their positions in Hamilton and Roquan (now that Warner is done) as well as important starters like Humphrey and Stanley makes a big difference to what the Ravens are.
Hamstrings aren't all created equally. Sometimes its a week or 2, sometimes a hamstring injury ends a season, like Dak Prescott's season last year. We'll probably look back at this and call the Ravens smart for being patient, and on the flip side, I'll be curious to see how it goes in Washington with Daniels.

Lamar's game relies on his legs. Yes he's a better passer now but he's not a pure pocket passer like Allen or Mahomes can be and he doesn't have an Offensive coach like Reid calling plays to bail him out. If he can't escape pressure and run to threaten a defense, he's not as effective and risks getting further injured.
If they felt the hamstring wasn't ready for Sunday, so be it. No need to push it when another game is on 4 days after that. They got through with a win.
I personally think it was all Lamar’s choice and I think they expected him to play when the week started.
