QB Lamar Jackson, BAL (2 Viewers)

I feel so relieved in snapping up Brissett off waivers last night after someone dropped him. Now I can breathe easy since he’s been a solid starter and I’ll have LJ ready on the bench if he heals up a bit and shows signs of life by week 16 when I need him.

This has been my QB decision for three weeks in a row. Chose Lamar over Brissett all three times. After another Lamar clunker on Thanksgiving, I said never again. Now I'm faced with the exact same decision and I'm finding it's so damn difficult to bench Lamar.

It’s tough, but I’m playing Brissett over Lamar until Lamar posts one good game on my bench. Might not happen again this season, but I hope to be pleasantly surprised.

I don't think I could do it.

Such a strange QB world we live in. As a NE fan, I watched Brissett look like he couldn't play the game anymore and now this. Then last week, B. Young shreds the LAR D. And in this same strange world, MVP Lamar Jackson can't play the position anymore.

Still, AZ can’t run, and will be throwing all game.

Let’s say Lamar throws for 200/1 and rushes for 20 yards, that’s 16 points. I like Brisset to do that pretty easily.

Oddly enough, in one league where I own Lamar Brissett was just dropped lol. Hmmm.

Stafford had a bad game and the Rams still scored 28 points. AZ is going to need points. Baltimore-Pitt is a 19-17-type game. AZ is playing inside while Balt is playing outside also. Pretty easy decision IMO.

Damn.

In this particular league, I'm already in the playoffs so I'm not desperate to make the shift, but I may try and grab Brissett anyways.

He was limited Wednesday with an ankle injury. This marks the 4th straight week where Jackson has missed at least one practice.

Tyler Huntley would start Sunday against the Steelers if Jackson is unable to play.

For years I marveled at Lam - watching him shred defenses with pinpoint accuracy and then run like a deer through defenses without ever seemingly getting hit hard. Like most I dont like to draft QBs early as there are so many options but finally dove in figuring he's good enough to justify......lesson learned!

Ravens are still in control of their own destiny with PIT being the roadblock. PIT ain't much of a roadblock these days, so I'd expect BAL to still win the division. But the Ravens just seem to be too light in the trunk on both sides of the line to sustain any long playoff run.

I watched the whole game, I know. He still wasn't himself, he couldn't beat a lineman to the corner, he missed wide open guys, he threw flat footed, and he hasn't really practiced. Based on what I've seen for 3 weeks, his upside is limited. If I lose, I lose.

Jalen Hurts has a lot of these type games in his career, enough that people (wrongly) have held up his lack of passing stats as a reason he's not a top QB for years.

Lamar is having a down season. He's also been banged up a lot. Sucks for the Ravens, and for people who drafted Lamar in round 3, but he's not suddenly a bad QB.

Perhaps. But none of them are as good as Jackson running the ball. Every QB has their strengths. A huge part of Jackson's game was taken away. You act like you've discovered something by saying that he isn't as good if he can't run. Teams can play him entirely different. It's not rocket science

Yes, I'm a troll for calling out a guy that I traded a first round pick for, who is not playing like even a modertately good qb
