I'm struggling with this decision as well. Either way, I'm sure I'll make the wrong call. I'll keep you posted. This is neat. I only need the guy for Bulger's bye! I have an opoortunity to pick up Harrington versus Green Bay.... would you do it? I think Lefty is a big risk this week. Could tweak it on the first play!
no chance. if they're up by 21 after the 3rd why would you keep leftwich in there?there's also a chance leftwich reinjures it and has to go to the bench.think like del rio would, not a FF owner. What are you guys gut feeling on if he does start (Lefty) that he plays the entire game? I think it is a certainty. Just a matter of if he starts. Why would Del Rio risk this though?
I also think there's a good chance that Lefty is just in there to hand the ball off to the RB's and throw on 3rd and long as Houston is not what I would call stout against the run. Jax can win with their running game and defense in this one.no chance. if they're up by 21 after the 3rd why would you keep leftwich in there?there's also a chance leftwich reinjures it and has to go to the bench.think like del rio would, not a FF owner. What are you guys gut feeling on if he does start (Lefty) that he plays the entire game? Yeah.....I think I'm going to make the wrong decision as well. I can either go with lefty or pickup Harrington or B.Johnson. I wonder if he will finish the whole game....it's not like the Texans will apply any pressure, lol.I'm struggling with this decision as well. Either way, I'm sure I'll make the wrong call. if one were to think like del rio "should'' would be to rest lefty against one of the worst teams in the league. A game in which garrard should easily be able to manage. Keep lefty active, if the defense doesn't dominate or garrard sucks it up, plug lefty in, neither of the latter seems probable with the problems the texans are having though.no chance. if they're up by 21 after the 3rd why would you keep leftwich in there?there's also a chance leftwich reinjures it and has to go to the bench.think like del rio would, not a FF owner. What are you guys gut feeling on if he does start (Lefty) that he plays the entire game? On another note, anyone else think the injury could linger after this week, or do you figure he should be ok down the line since he is playing today?Going w/ Gradkowski @ home playing 4 qtrs - where he'll HAVE to throw to keep up w/ Dnabb.raysforshootout:Now Lefty will throw 3 tds...
I just think JAX will run all day and Lefty will *rest* in the 2nd half w/ a comfortable lead.
Would you consider Gradonoski of TB a viable alternative?I think the risk he doesn't play four quarters is too great if you have a viable alternative. As was said before, Jacksonville will try to win this one without Leftwich doing much if at all possible. If the Texans keep it close, that's a whole different story.I'm gambling with Favre on the road in a league where INT do count. Ouch.
I have decided to follow this same path, so chalk up Lefty for 400 and 4 TD's!Well, I picked up Harrington and am starting him over Lefty. All of you sticking with Lefty can breathe a big sigh of relief as Lefty will now go for 300/3.
No, but that is who I'm going with. You have to figure TB will do it through the air if at all. I'm in the Same Bulger bye boat, and I can't risk a low QB output.Would you consider Gradonoski of TB a viable alternative?I think the risk he doesn't play four quarters is too great if you have a viable alternative. its up in the air at this point. i think by starting lefty today, they are just leaving him open to injuring that ankle further. He's had ankle problems in the past and by not letting him heal it completely may leave them in a bind later in the season.. Bulger on bye, needed Lefty for ONE week, sheesh o'cripes, just dropped him and drank the Harrington kool-aid for a crucial game in my league. Lefty will now throw for 250/2 AND I say he gets a goal line push in for a TD, gimpy freaking ankle and all ... Ain't FF great ?Well, I picked up Harrington and am starting him over Lefty. All of you sticking with Lefty can breathe a big sigh of relief as Lefty will now go for 300/3.
Hmm, that sucks. I wanna drop Garrard and pick up Johnson or Harrington, but if he gets hurt further I know Garrard won't make it back to me next week (I have Bulger though). From the report it seems like they will try to let the defense and the running game win....its up in the air at this point. i think by starting lefty today, they are just leaving him open to injuring that ankle further.
