Bad gut flag, IMO.
But indeed, I’m sure one of us will be quoted and shamed by our vocal support or criticism of Mr Darnold sometime next year.

After seven years in the league, Sam Darnold has the skills of a second tier rookie in a week QB class?
The second tier rookies have the skills of a seven year vet?

I think he's talking arm talent and overall raw physical makeup. Makes sense to me. If Darnold were coming out of college this year, he'd be the number two guy in physicality over Sanders, McCord, Dart, et. al.

That's all well and good, but in that case he isn't saying anything new. That talent is what caused him to be the #3 pick to begin with.
It's not the physical talent that is the concern with Darnold.
And has anyone noticed that Simms looks more and more like the Merovingian from The Matrix?

Most traditional Redrafts, high % chance he won't be drafted as anything more than a QB2 for GMs that like to carry 2 QBs
Darnold could start on the WW much like he did last season
Dynasty/Superflex, that's a different conversation and the bias of Darnold's abilities is widely exacerbated by dynasty shareholders
Huge step down from JJ to anything Seattle is planning in 2025 at Wide Receiver and Tight End
OL is not as strong as what he is leaving in Minnesota
Head Coach/Offensive philosophy is a step down from O'Connell
I don't see how anyone could possibly feel strongly about Darnold as a QB1 in 10-12 team redraft leagues

That's what it might look like on my Redraft list thus far, would much prefer the upside of a Penix in Atlanta or Stafford with Nacua/Adams to sling TDs to on Sunday afternoons.
