QB Teddy Bridgewater, DET (1 Viewer)

Teddy Bridgewater completed 23-of-33 passes for 187 yards, two touchdowns and an interception in the Broncos' 17-14, Week 7 loss to the Browns.

Playing through a foot injury, Bridgewater didn't have a good first half, to put it mildly. He entered the break 7-of-10 for 58 yards, zero scores and an interception. He struggled to the degree that FOX put an iso cam on Drew Lock coming out of the locker room in the third quarter. Lock warmed up like he was coming in, but the Broncos stuck with Bridgewater and he engineered an immediate scoring drive to get his team back in the game. Perhaps the swirling winds died down, or maybe Bridgewater received a pain-killing injection. His scores went to running backs Melvin Gordon and Javonte Williams. Bridgewater also converted a "had to have it" fourth down with a red zone quarterback sneak. As so often happens with Bridgewater, his play has cratered in recent weeks following a hot start, though he will be getting Jerry Jeudy (ankle) back for Week 8 against the Washington Football Team. He will also have 10 much needed days to rest his foot. Bridgewater will be on the streaming radar vs. WFT's awful defense.

I swing by this thread every now and again simply to thank my lucky stars that a significant % of Viking fans did not get their wish of Bridgewater still being the franchise QB of the Vikes.

Teddy Bridgewater was added to the Broncos' Thursday injury report with an oblique issue but practiced in full.

For now, it's nothing to worry about, though it is possible it's something Bridgewater picked up near the end of the session. Bridgewater was badly hobbled by his foot in Week 7, but that body part has been left off of this week's report. Double check Bridgewater's status on Friday if you are firing him up in your superflex league.

Teddy Bridgewater completed 19-of-28 passes for 249 yards and one touchdown in the Broncos' 30-16, Week 9 win over the Cowboys.

After tossing a 44-yard touchdown to Tim Patrick in the second quarter, Bridgewater added a second touchdown via the ground on a one-yard sneak in the third quarter before tossing a two-pointer to Courtland Sutton to put the Broncos up 27-0. Bridgewater's 8.9 YPA average was his third-best mark of the season, and this was one of the more dominant upsets of the year. Bridgewater was throwing the ball aggressively and likely bought himself several more weeks under center after the Drew Lock whispers had been growing louder of late. Bridgewater will be a back-end QB2 next week against the Eagles.

NFL Network's James Palmer reports Teddy Bridgewater (concussion) on Monday was released from the hospital and is "doing well."

Bridgewater, now in the NFL's concussion protocol, was carted off after a frightening head/neck injury on Sunday against the Bengals. His leaving the hospital less than 24 hours after suffering the head injury is good news for the veteran QB. He's unlikely to play in Week 16 against the Raiders. Drew Lock, who was typically terrible in place of Teddy against the Bengals, would get the start. He's only playable in deeper superflex formats.

Coach Vic Fangio announced Teddy Bridgewater (concussion) is out for Week 16 against the Raiders, and Drew Lock will get the start.

Downgrade all Broncos pass-catchers even more, as they already all cancel each other out, making none viable fantasy plays in season-long formats. Lock is a turnover machine. Bridgewater will return to starting duties once he clears concussion protocol. It could be as soon as Week 17.

Signing with the Miami Dolphins and returning home to South Florida in order to back up Tua

Or is Miami setting up one move for a bigger move?

Salguero announced on Twitter

Teddy Bridgewater completed 14-of-23 passes for 193 yards, one touchdown and one interception in the Dolphins' 27-15, Week 4 loss to the Bengals.

Pressed into action after Tua Tagovailoa suffered a sickening head injury at the 5:57 mark of the second quarter, Bridgewater kept the Dolphins in the game. He locked onto Tyreek Hill and found Chase Edmonds for a seven-yard touchdown. He also threw a bad second half interception on a miscommunication with Mike Gesicki. Playing in Mike McDaniel's extremely well designed offense, the journeyman "bridge" quarterback averaged 8.4 yards per attempt. Bridgewater is a strict backup at this stage of his career, but he will certainly give the Dolphins a chance to win if forced to start in Week 5 against the Jets.

As a Waddle owner, I'm hoping he can get some reps and lead this offense better next week at the Jets. That's actually not a bad place to get the first start of the season.

Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel said the team's offense won't change with Teddy Bridgewater starting in Week 5 against the Jets.

NFL Network's Cameron Wolfe said Bridgewater is "known to be meticulous and detailed" with his wideouts, and that Bridgewater will make a concerted effort to get the ball out quickly to his playmaking receivers, Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle. Last week against the Bengals, 12 of Bridgewater's 23 attempts went to Hill and Waddle as he threw for 190 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. He has the league's 11th best completion rate over expected in Week 4. Bridgewater profiles as a high-floor Week 5 streaming option against an average Jets secondary.

Ha--- came in here to post the same thing. Have Bridge added and in lineup over Goff right now. We will see what the next 48 hours brings in my brain.

Teddy Bridgewater completed 23-of-34 passes for 329 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions in the Dolphins' 24-16, Week 6 loss to the Vikings.

He rushed for 10 yards. With Skylar Thompson injuring his throwing thumb early in the first half, Bridgewater was forced into duty after clearing the concussion protocol earlier in the week. Most of Bridgewater's production came with the Dolphins chasing points late, but he was still able to get the ball to his playmakers, getting Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle over 100 yards each. Both Bridgewater touchdowns went to Mike Gesicki. Tua Tagovailoa has already been announced as the Week 7 starter against the Steelers.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport said Teddy Bridgewater sustained a dislocated finger in Week 17.

Further testing on Bridgewater's injured finger revealed he did not suffer a break against the Patriots last week. "Whether he can play this week will come down to swelling and if he can grip the ball well enough to throw," Rapoport said. The Dolphins desperately need Bridgewater under center this week against the Jets. Tua Tagovailoa (concussion) remains sidelined and Skylar Thompson has proven borderline disastrous in his 2022 appearances. Bridgewater would be a thin fantasy option against a stingy New York coverage unit.

ESPN's Marcel Louis-Jacques writes Teddy Bridgewater "might be the easiest option for Miami" as a backup quarterback in 2023.

Louis-Jacques notes that the lingering concern over Tua Tagovailoa's availability proves that the Dolphins still need a "high-level, preferably veteran, backup," and that Bridgewater isn't likely to find a starting job elsewhere. Bridgewater spent several weeks inactive with a "chronic" knee injury this year and it's probably a bit of projection to consider him a high-level backup at this point, but that doesn't mean the Dolphins shouldn't be interested in shoring up the position behind Tagovailoa.

Free agent QB Teddy Bridgewater has interest from several teams, including a strong contract offer from the #Lions, per source. Bridgewater hasn’t decided where he’s playing as he takes his time this offseason. Bridgewater can reunite w/ Dan Campbell from their New Orleans days.

Surprising he would retire at such a young age. Being a backup in the NFL is good work if you can get it

Seems like a really good dude. One of the most brutal injuries I can recall. Almost lost his leg according to reports.

Detroit is at the end of the 21-day practice window for Hendon Hooker. It's unclear how they are going to put him on the 53-man. Bridgewater continues to take the QB2 reps and Hooker has been relegated to scout team QB.

Teddy has been an awesome teammate this year and a big part of their weekly prep. He's a pro and a tremendous positive force, wish him well as a high school coach. Great guy.
