Random movie "aha" moment (1 Viewer)

Can we apply "aha" moments from TV in here also? If so, I just noticed that an episode of the TV show "Castle" (Swan Song) had, as one of the band members, the guy who played Gareth in "The Walking Dead".
Castle is an awesome TV show IMO.
It is great, in a formulaic 80s TV show kind of way. And I mean that in the best sense. It fits in with Magnum P.I., Simon & Simon, and shows like that.
And Stana Katic is hot
Very much so. Much hotter with the longer hair as well.
Oh that's a big Hell yes

On Babylon 5, Bryan Cranston was a captain of one of the Whitestar ships. I don't think I'd have even recognized it was him but for noticing his name in the opening credits.

May have been mentioned in the Better Call Saul thread;

Took me awhile to place him, but the guy who plays the slimy law partner Howard in Better Call Saul played Professor Lasky in Saved By The Bell: The College Years. The professor that was tapping Tiffani Amber-Thiessen.

In The Avengers, one of the Council is a female. She is Jenny Agutter, who was the smokin' hot nurse from the movie American Werewolf in London.

For those a little bit older, she was the female lead in "Logan's Run", a 70's sci-fi flick. does some brief frontal nudity, which was very nice for an impressionable teenage boy.

Just realized a pre-bulked up Tom Hardy plays the Capt Piccard clone in Star Trek: Nemesis.

Edit: Wow, he was 25 already even. He seems scrawny. Thought maybe he was younger.

Commercial aha moment

The wife in the Dirty Dancing commercial is also the woman who gets outbid for her groceries in the Geico auctioneer commercial.

Commercials aren't really fair. There's 3 or 4 people that are in about 10 current commercials all in the hopes that someone notices them and gets them the hell out of commercials.

She's on her way....those are two damn good commercials
When will Flo from Progressive get her sitcom?
The cavemen did.
Side note: I'm surprised Geico hasn't put the cavemen in the same commercial as the lizard yet. Could be a good laugh: Cavemen hunting the lizard for food.

The guy who plays the bit part of "Paul" in Blue Velvet (one of Frank Booth's gang) is the same actor who starred in Eraserhead.

There's a lot of crossover in commercials. It used to be really weird when I'd see these people at restaurants and grocery stores when I lived in LA. You see them, know you know them from something, realize they're an actor, then feel let down when you realized they're one of those commercial people who appear over and over in different roles.

Another one of them is Brad Dourif who played Piter the Mentat in Dune (along with "Paul" who played Barron Harkonen's fat son), Doc Cochran in Deadwood, Billy Bibbit in Cukoo's Nest, Wormtoungue in The Lord of the Rings films and, most importantly, he was the voice of Chucky in Child's Play.

:jawdrop

Doc = Chucky

The actor who plays Mike in "Suits" is one of the pledges in Old School. There are a lot of known actors who are pledges in Old School.

Was bored last night and started to watch an older movie that the girlfriend had never seen. I hadn't seen it in a long time. Cold Mountain. I remembered most of the movie, but at the end they showed a close-up of one of the "bad guys" and I told her it looked just like Jax from Sons of Anarchy (Charlie Humman or something). She was skeptical. So at the end I waited for the credits and lo and behold, it was him.

Google image search his name and Cold Mountain. Had no idea it was him until I recognized him later in the movie.

He also played a bad guy in "Children of Men". Pretty hard to spot/recognize.

Dug into Daredevil on Netflix last night. For the first 30 mins, could not figure out where I had seen Murdock's law partner, Foggy Nelson. Finally had to go to the IMDBs to see that he was one of the Mighty Ducks' Bash Brothers, Fulton Reed.

In "The Hustler" (Paul Newman pool movie as Fast Eddie Felson) there was a guy in Arthur's Pool Hall (one of the ones who helped break Eddie's thumbs) who was also in "The Sting" as Floyd, one of the thugs( the short one) who worked for Robert Shaw's character Doyle Lonnegan. The actor's name is Charles Dierkop. Taking it a step further, he also was Flat Nose in "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid".

Watched Brubaker with Robert Redford this weekend. There's one scene with a guy standing barefoot on a bunch of glass bottles as a form of torture/punishment. Later, that same guy gets pulled out of the chow line and taken for some other torture/punishment.

Pretty sure that guy is the "Get him a body bag, yeah!!!" guy from The Karate Kid. In fact, when he gets pulled out of the chow line in Brubaker, he has the same high-pitched scream as in KK.

He should have dropped a line about their next case and going up against Gordon Bombay at trial

Not a movie moment but the announcer on Price is Right, George Gray, played Cindy Mancini's (Amanda Peterson) college boyfriend Bobby in 1987s "Can't Buy Me Love"

Kinda like Geico and 'everyone knows that' but it didn't dawn on me until I was actually hanging up the picture of her on my 'celebrity pool table' wall that the King of Queens wife was the Saved by the Bell Hawaii girlfriend.

Leah Remini and yes, I'm sure everyone already knew that but it was a random 'a ha' moment for me. After googling and oogling, I realize she's been on other popular shows...and always been cute.
