yup. Still thinking he's a great value-play this year.I wish I had a few more drafts soon because Rashad Jenning's ADP is going to go up.
Per Rotoworld: Looking big, fast and strong.
Rashad Jennings has seen "a great many" second-team reps at Giants camp, and is also working on special teams units.
Per beat writer Ebenezer Samuel, both Shane Vereen and Andre Williams have taken more first-team reps than Jennings. We're not yet sure what to make of this news -- other Giants beat writers haven't noted anything like this -- but at very least it's a situation to monitor. Samuel anticipates a "backfield-by-committee," perhaps with Vereen, Williams, and Jennings all sharing time.

I don't think it's really a "mess". I think it is the Giants just making sure they get a long look at what they have and get everyone ready to play because they have been so snake bitten with injuries at the position the past few years they probably don't want to get caught with their pants down again. What a mess. Just draft one of them and hope he out touches the others.

I don't think they signed Vereen to just come in on 3rd downs. I think he gets 4-5 carries a game.I don't think it's really a "mess". NJ.com's Jordan Raanan "wouldn't make too much" of Rashad Jennings' apparently-reduced first-team reps at Giants camp.
The New York Daily News reported Thursday that Jennings was taking fewer first-team reps than both Shane Vereen and Andre Williams. Raanan says the Giants "are just rotating their running backs constantly" in training camp practices, and apparently isn't buying that Jennings has slid down the depth chart.
NJ.com's Jordan Raanan still considers Rashad Jennings the favorite to lead the Giants in 2015 carries.
Jennings is the Giants' best all-around back, holding a career 4.18 YPC average despite never playing on good teams. Although his average slipped to 3.83 last year, the rest of the Giants' 2014 rushers combined for a 3.42 average behind putrid run blocking. Jennings' average was easily the best on the team. Reports of Jennings potentially slipping down the depth chart are worth monitoring, but most Giants beat writers don't see that as realistic. Jennings is the heavy favorite to start Week 1 against Dallas.

Love might be a tad strong IMO. he'll be decent when healthy to good against weak defenses. BUT, Andre Will actually looked pretty good last night. Had more shake/wiggle in his few carries then he had all of last yr. I like Jennings and own him, but I think he'll be a shaky flex option. I have a feeling Andre Will be used alot more then people think. Could even see a 60-40 rushing split with Vereen on 3rd downs. How many touches are we then talking about here 10-15/game??value city...Vereen is a third down back and Andre Williams isn't versatile enough to make a dent.
Produced when healthy last two years.
Love this guy in PPRs in the middle rounds.
All true, but depth is vital, as we are figuring out the past week.Love might be a tad strong IMO. he'll be decent when healthy to good against weak defenses. You only need him to be decent at his price.Love might be a tad strong IMO. he'll be decent when healthy to good against weak defenses. BUT, Andre Will actually looked pretty good last night. exactly, we're not talking about a third rounder here...he is easily sliding into the sixth round here. You only need him to be decent at his price.Love might be a tad strong IMO. he'll be decent when healthy to good against weak defenses. If I was sure Vereen wouldn't steal a bunch of carries, yeah I agree.value city...Vereen is a third down back and Andre Williams isn't versatile enough to make a dent.

would you agree that if Vereen isn't getting any 1st or 2nd down rushing attempts that that would be an indicator of not "stealing a bunch of carries?"If I was sure Vereen wouldn't steal a bunch of carries, yeah I agree.value city...Vereen is a third down back and Andre Williams isn't versatile enough to make a dent.

Vereen is more of a play in PPR, I don't disagree with that...but I agree with most "experts" that Rashad should still go higher. To each their own...but every day that passes I like Vareen more and more this year. In my opinion Vareen is the back to own here if you're in a PPR league. That Bob Mcadoo offense is tailor made for him with all those short passes.
If Vareen steals even 30 to 35% of the carries (which I think he easily will) he's going to outscore Jennings in ppr by a decent margin. I think he has potential for 80+ receptions.
it would help, but i recall some 1/2 down carries in the last preseason gamewould you agree that if Vereen isn't getting any 1st or 2nd down rushing attempts that that would be an indicator of not "stealing a bunch of carries?"If I was sure Vereen wouldn't steal a bunch of carries, yeah I agree.value city...Vereen is a third down back and Andre Williams isn't versatile enough to make a dent.

It was a stupid call (by whomever, Eli or Coughlin) because of the amount of time left in the game. Then again, I need to constantly ask myself exactly how "stoked" I should be, if in fact that dumb ### Eli Manning told him not to score near the end. (A stunning move that may have cost them the game)
Something about this story stinks, and it wouldn't surprise me if this triggers the end of Rashad Jennings in New York.
Why would they ever let this out???? (it had to be a Tom Coughlin call)
Wow. I'm blown away by that. I can't believe they wouldn't think being up by two scores is better than milking the clock, throwing the ball and being up by six. Here's his apology.
As far as fantasy, last week was a 3-way RBBC. The TD obviously was nice, but 13 carries and zero receptions was not.
I said "it wouldn't surprise me if this triggers the end of Rashad Jennings in New York."LittlePhatty said:why you would think it "triggers the end of Jennings in NY".
I think he should be rostered in ALL 10 team leagues and 12 team leagues alike, except in some fluky rules or scoring scenarios. Is Jennings gaining some momentum as a rb2/flex play or am I nuts? Added to bottom of roster as a why not pickup in a 10 teamer
Rashad Jennings rushed for 170 yards and one touchdown on 27 carries in the Giants' 35-30, Week 17 loss to the Eagles.
He also caught 2-of-5 targets for six yards. The 170-yard effort was Jennings' second-highest single-game total of his career, and his 863 yards in total this season is a new career-high. Jennings finished the season extremely strong with 432 yards and two of his three rushing scores over the final four weeks. It took the Giants entirely too long to abandon their RB-by-committee approach this season, and things may have turned out differently for them if they'd have done this earlier in the year instead of wasting carries on Andre Williams and Orleans Darkwa. Jennings will turn 31 in March, but entered the league as a 24-year-old and barely played before the 2013 season. He has plenty of tread left on the tires and is due just under $3 million in 2016. The Giants will likely add a running back and get rid of Williams, but Jennings should have a firm role next year.
