RB Aaron Jones, MIN (3 Viewers)

Aaron Jones rushed 15 times for 132 yards and a touchdown in Green Bay's Week 2 win over Chicago, adding three catches for 38 yards and an additional touchdown.

Well, that's much better than giving the ball to him eight times. The Packers crushed the Bears on outside runs, and Jones had six separate gains of more than 15 yards. Fantasy managers have to be ecstatic with the rebound game, and Jones will be near the RB1 line despite a tough matchup against Tampa's defensive front in Week 3.

I never actually knew much about Jones' personality and work ethic, etc until I watched all the pressers last night of Rodgers, LaFleur, Jones. Guy legit apparently hasn't complained once in years there, supports and cheers on Dillon, and is happy every moment he's there. I like him a lot more now, and surprised a lot of this personality stuff wasn't really discussed much in the past. Or maybe I was living under a rock.

Probably has not been discussed because you expect that from a professional athlete and teammate. That said, maybe that's a mea culpa since they got away from their most-talented, highest-paid back for a guy who, while excellent at what he does, isn't Jones.

I get what you're saying, but I've always heard Jones was a real stand-up guy, actually. Celebrated his father every game when his father was alive, pays tribute to him since his passing. Father at every game. Just nothing really but good stories about Jones.

They did a good story on him and Senor Cheesehead (yes, seriously). Jones went to Texas-ElPaso and sort of adopted wearing a Sombrero coming into the stadium or to and from the plane for road games. He saw a post or picture of "Senor Cheesehead" and reached out to him to get a green and gold one for him and he wears it all the time.
Also the story of Jones and his father and having the football on his necklace that has some of his father's ashes. Got lost on the field in a game and one of the Packers staff went out searching the field for it after the game and found it. Equipment guys ended up sewing a pocket in Jones' jersey to keep the little football when he is playing so it doesn't lose it again.

Aaron Jones rushed nine times for 19 yards in the Packers’ Week 6 loss to the Jets’, adding three receptions for an additional 25 yards.

Another day, another game where Jones doesn’t do much. Completely non-existent in the running game, Jones made a couple of plays in the receiving game late. The Packers came into the game wanting to get both Jones and A.J. Dillon going and the Jets’ front seven simply weren’t having it. It’s now become tough to trust Jones as a legitimate RB1 going forward.

8/23
9/53/2 TDs

They still lost but he was very active today

Dillon had 4 carries and not much else but again the Packers lost today so it didn't net them a win trying to lean on Aaron Jones

Hope Rodgers continues to throw to him
with Adams gone, Watson having been out most of the season, Sammy Watkins just back from a multiple week injury, Cobb now on IR and Lazard playing but seemingly getting banged up every week, he is just about the last man standing....

Aaron Jones rushed eight times for 23 yards, adding nine receptions for 53 yards and two touchdowns on 10 targets in the Packers' Week 7 loss to the Commanders.

Jones was the only thing the Packers had going on offense, as they frequently went to him on quick passes and pitches. Jones scored the Packers' first TD of the day on a nice play action quick pass. Rodgers found him on a scramble drill for his second TD, with Jones making a wide receiver-like grab in the end zone. It was an impressive day for Jones in an otherwise awful day for the Packers' offense. He will likely remain a focal point in the passing game when the Packers take on the Bills in Week 8, making him a strong play despite the difficult matchup.

I'm benching him vs the bills for walker, waddle, and sanders.
I want in your league. You can replace a player with THREE?! Excellent.
Dude, you need to keep up with the times and join one of my SuperMegaUltraFlex leagues where you can start between 1 and 4 players at any of the 20 roster spots. The draft took around 36 hours to complete and the waiver wire can be a little bare (hoping to spend my remaining FAAB bucks to grab the 3rd string TE in Houston), but besides those challenges, it’s the wave of the future, man.

Jones says he wanted to go back in but they held him out and sent him for xrays

X-rays came back negative but as he sat out it got sore so he “definitely respects them” for holding him out

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that tests came back negative on Aaron Jones' injured ankle.

His practice status will be key to monitor, but Jones is expected to be able to play in Week 10 against the Cowboys. It's a sigh of relief after Jones was unable to return to play following the ankle injury against the Lions. Jones will presumably be part of the Packers' game plan to thwart the formidable Cowboys pass rush. However, Jones will also be dealing with an offense that was unable to get going against a woeful Lions' defense. Jones' ankle injury could open the door for more snaps for A.J. Dillon, which would be an issue, given the state of things in Green Bay.

Aaron Jones (ankle) practiced Friday.

Jones exited the Packers' Week 9 loss to the Detroit with an ankle injury. Subsequent X-rays show his ankle was "fine" and he has practiced throughout the week ahead of Green Bay's Week 10 matchup with Dallas. Jones, whose workload has ramped up in recent weeks while AJ Dillon has struggled, would be a low-end RB1 option against the Cowboys if he's a full go. Dillon is nothing more than a bench stash for now.

I’ll be shocked if Jones plays this week
Why? He has practiced several times...tests came back fine...and he seemed ready to go back in last week.
his post was from Monday
Yeah, it sounded much worse earlier in the week
I still want to deal AJones (dynasty), but no takers even when most in the league are GB fans. Why that can't consistently use their RBs properly in GB this year is beyond me? Why let Rodgers throw it all the time with no WRs?

I'm not letting Rodgers off the hook but GB seems to have zero clue right now. They just put up 9 (nine) points against one of the worst defenses in the NFL.

I'd say that being GB fans makes it more unlikely as there is no enthusiasm for the rest of this year and many are predicting a Rodgers/Pack divorce in the offseason.

Highly unlikely there will be a Rodgers/GB divorce this off-season since it would cause a massive dead cap amount. Cutting him would be like $99+ mil. Cutting after the 2023 season would still leave close to $50 mil dead cap. Even a trade this off-season would leave a hit around $40mil IIRC. Rodgers owns the Packers cap and has them hostage for the next two years.

Aaron Jones rushed 12 times for 40 yards in the Packers' Week 11 loss to the Titans, adding six receptions for 20 yards.

Jones stumbled to just 3.3 yards per touch against the stout front of the Titans defense, failing to get anything going on a blistering night in Green Bay. His night ended with a failed fourth down conversion in Titans territory with three minutes remaining and down by 10 points. The lone bright spot for fantasy managers was his stranglehold on backfield snaps for Green Bay, which could signal better days to come for the dynamic back. Jones will look to get back to RB1 territory in a difficult matchup against the Eagles in Week 12.

Aaron Jones (shin) practiced on Tuesday.

The Packers aren't required to have status reports for their Tuesday practice off a Week 14 bye, but it does sound like Jones will be good to go with a juicy matchup against the Rams on the slate for Week 15. Jones left Week 13's game with the injury and did not return. AJ Dillon posted RB1 numbers in his absence and would also get a boost against the Rams if he played as much as he did two weeks ago.

Considering how well Dillon has looked of late, we might see more of an even split

Agreed. Want to bench him, but Ettienne has been stinking it up lately.
Dillion looked good to start the year too and that didn’t mean much. The offense is just better with Jones in, and the team knows it.
I love Jones, but as usual he’s wearing down and Dillon is picking up steam. Dillon is built for cold weather games at Lambeau.
