RB Alex Collins, SEA (1 Viewer)

Exactly what I did. Dropped Collins for Freeman.
I wouldn't have done that. Collins I a really good RB. Freeman is washed up and will likely split carries with Bell and Williams plus LJax of course. I seriously doubt Collins is going to lose many touches to a guy who's been injured for weeks. The guy just ran for 100 yards when the rest of the offense looked like crap. You think Pete doesn't realize they need him?

15, 10, 17 last 3 weeks for Collins, Freeman is 5, 11 the last 2 weeks, where is this security ye speak of?
I haven't pulled the trigger yet for Freeman over Collins.

Case for Freeman - he already seems the favorite in hurry up situations/2 min.drill.  On top of that now should take on Murray's role. So the volume should see a large uptick. Much more potent offense so positive game script, and even if not, again, he seems to be the choice for the passing down back.

Case for Collins - volume last several games, Seattle run blocking looked much better last week and they stayed committed. However, that was without any competition. Penny is now "back" and Pete seems inclined to prove Penny is the best RB. And the injury is a big unknown. Two no-shows and a limited does not instill confidence.

Full disclosure, I am only looking at these two in a one-week need a fantasy win vacuum.

This is why I was stating best case scenario would be for Collins not to play so Penny would be the clear-cut RB for Seattle.

It's prob a coinflip and pure luck on which RB falls into the EZ this week.

Zeke on a Bye, Already down a RB from Thursday night I did not start, wish I had now.

I'd have to release Collins for Freeman, just wondering what his value will be in a week, Carson on IR, Penny doesn't really scare me, he's always hurt, 8-10 carries or touches IMO to start off, don' see him ascending to "the man" right away.

I don't see Bell as a great option for Baltimore or they would have done that already, surprised Bell is even on their roster right now. I could see Freeman maybe getting 15 touches, receptions are going to be few and perhaps almost none, the offense is starting to coem around and with WRs garnering more attention, a dynamic TE in Andrews, LJ keeps the eyes of any free defender so Freeman has a lot of talent around him. Thought I saw a big injury along the Baltimore OL but maybe I was wrong about that.

But for 1 week when my only other healthy RB is Williams from KC this week, gotta roll an RB2 out there.

Their OT has been out for a few weeks and they finally put him on IR.  So no change versus the past few weeks.

I held tight w Collins.  Going to pick up Penny tomorrow if Collins is a no-go.  I'm already playing Bateman (bye weeks) and don't want to be overleveraged on one team.

Regretted having to avoid him and also releasing him so I could at least field a B for Sunday, handcuffed with bye weeks.

His production so far is pretty subpar. I haven't seen Penny much tonight.

Collins 2 ypc

Penny 0.5 ypc

🤷‍♂️

Alex Collins rushed 16 times for 35 yards in the Seahawks' Week 7 loss to the Saints.

He added one catch for nine yards on one target. Even with Rashaad Penny activated from I.R. for this one, Collins out-carried him 16-6, but neither running back was able to do anything with the Saints selling out to stop them since Geno Smith couldn't move the ball through the air. OC Shane Waldron was just slamming Collins into the line of scrimmage for 2.2 yards per carry. Collins gets an easier Week 8 draw with the Jaguars, but this offense is broken with Smith under center.

Thought Collins looked very good.  you just are not going to run on N.O. especially when they don't have to worry about the QB for Seattle.

I don't think many RBs would have done much against NO last night.

Despite the fact that NO KNEW they were going to run right into their wall, Carrol continued to do exactly that with Collins...run him right into the wall. And despite that, I was impressed with Collins ability to do anything. Found a way to get an extra yard or two when most would get zilch. He also got hit in the backfield a couple times and found a way to salvage the play. I was impressed.

I was not impressed with Penny. Seemed stuck in the mud. No juice at all.

I was also not impressed by the RB strategy. Give Collins the first 4 carries and then give Penny "a peek" for the rest of the first half? Really? A guy coming off IR? Like...why not sprinkle him in here and there vs. giving him the first half.

Morons.

Alex Collins (groin) was downgraded to "DNP" for Thursday's practice.

This would normally be a concern, but we suspect the Seahawks are simply managing Collins' reps on a short week. Collins got in two DNPs last week before suiting up vs. the Saints. Provided he is not actually injured, he will be a volume-based RB2 against the Jaguars on Sunday.

I agree.  The problem is everyone they play is going to know that gameplan and stack the box until Wilson is back.  At least Penny doesn't look like he will take many reps away.

Seahawks listed RB Alex Collins (groin) as questionable for Week 8 against the Jaguars.

Collins is likely to play Sunday, but fantasy managers should have a backup option in place, with the Seahawks playing in the late afternoon window. Both the Seahawks and Jaguars are likely to play through the ground game, so Collins sets up as a volume-based RB2, assuming he's cleared to play.

Why is this guy always questionable with a late game. I guess I always have Tyler Lockett as a backup so he's good for half a point.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Alex Collins (groin, questionable) is expected to play in Week 8 against the Jaguars.

Collins will draw his fourth start of the year with Chris Carson still on injured reserve. In his first three outings as the starter, Collins has averaged 17 carries per game. The Seahawks are set to be a slow, low-scoring offense until Russell Wilson returns, making their running back's volume less attractive. He remains a low-end RB2 until Wilson is back under center.

Alex Collins (groin) will play in Week 11 against the Cardinals.

Collins was surprisingly downgraded on Thursday but will suit up after being removed from Seattle's final injury report to close the week. Fresh off his highest share of backfield touches (73.3%) this year since Seattle's coaching staff strangely took Rashaad Penny and DeeJay Dallas out of the picture, Collins is an intriguing RB3/4 assuming the team's offense bounces back in Russell Wilson's second game off injured reserve.

What draft pick value is Collins now that Carson is out for the year? Run heavy team with not much competition for touches. My first instinct is a mid to high 2nd round pick, many teams are now desperate to make a playoff push in need of a starting RB.

Yeah but since Carson has been out, Collins scored 8/16/5/4/5 in hppr.  He's scored a bit more than Mike Davis but not as much as Devonte Freeman.

Collins will have the opportunity to seize control, but make no mistake, Carroll has in not so many words that it's time Penny shows up or it's the end of his time with Seattle....IF he shows some early bursts and gains confidence it will tilt to a time share and Collins shows any signs of slowing down it will be Penny down the stretch

As a Penny owner holding out hope. I hope your right but Penny looked washed from what I saw from him this year.

I thought Collins has looked good overall.  The blocking has been terrible, and Wilson had prob one of the worst games of his career last week.

I feel like the entire SEA offense is seriously undervalued right now.

Wilson has been out and they haven't exactly faced any cupcakes on the schedule the last few weeks.

Now Wilson is back, the WR weapons are still there, and Collins could be the last man standing with what looks to be a very favorable schedule.

Just dropped Carson last night. Still have Collins. And now I'm tinkering with the idea of picking up Penny. Penny looked done, but would it surprise anyone if he's the #1 waiver wire pickup come Monday?

You may be right but it's really hard to see Penny shedding the prototypical "What might have been" label that's looking more and more like a perfect fit.

Still Seattle runs and RBs get hurt so he's got that going for him (in terms of being behind Collins).

And of course:

RASHAAD PENNYRB, SEATTLE SEAHAWKS

Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said Rashaad Penny should have a larger role in Week 11 against the Cardinals.

"I'm really looking forward to Rashaad, looking to see where he goes and contributes this week," Carroll said. "He's got a good role for us and we're anxious to see him get going. It's really his time to help us. As we go through the next couple of weeks, you'll see him continue to be a big part of it." Penny (1.6 YPC) struggled in two games since returning from a calf injury and didn't see the field last week. With Chris Carson out for the year and only Alex Collins in front of him, there should be opportunities for Penny going forward, though he's not a Week 11 fantasy option. Penny, Travis Homer, and DeeJay Dallas could all see snaps behind Collins this week.

Seahawks RB Alex Collins (core) was limited at Friday's practice.

Collins was removed from the injury report ahead of Week 11 but the Seahawks have continued to manage his practice reps. With Rashaad Penny and Travis Homer potentially out this week, Collins could see a few more touches for Monday night's matchup with Washington, putting him in the RB3 mix.

With Penny and Homer out, Collins should get a decent amount of touches this week.

He’s had some tough matchups of late, so hasn’t produced much. What do we think of the Washington matchup? Are they hard to run against?

They have a decent ypcarry average, but the main thing that works against running on them is that they have the worst ypcatch/yproute rating in the NFL against WRs. And Seattle has two pretty good wide receivers. You could hope that Seattle builds a good lead, but with their weak defense and on the road I wouldn't count on it.

Just when I think the SEA offense can't hit a new low it does.

AP signed to the practice squad.

Carroll must have seen enough of Collins (and Dallas) Monday night.

And his pet (R. Penny) must really be hurt if they signed AP.

May be time to exit this mess and dump Collins. Been hanging on...why I don't know.

i dropped him in waivers last night.  Was hopeful but it’s not happening…don’t move the ball on drives, can’t make his own yards, bad game scripts….better off grabbing a backup and waiting for an injury.  He just has no upside…doesn’t seem like anyone does on that offense outside the 2 wrs but good luck picking which one which week….

I understand Wilson was hurt and I still believe he ain't right but was trying to get back on the field.

-You have meaningless games right now, heck the Dolphins still have meaningful football games left and potentially something even bigger in the last 2-3 weeks if they can handle their business against whoever the Giants start this week...back to Seattle, there is nothing left for them to play for, really.

-Wilson has stated he might like to be elsewhere, maybe he's had enough of Carroll and is too kind to say much, I honestly don't care because he has to be my least favorite "star" QB of all time and I felt once he wasn't on the rookie deal they would never be the same and I've mostly been right even though Wilson by all accounts has had a HoF career or likely gets voted in tomorrow if he never picked up a football again.

-You can't trust a single skill player on Seattle right now, I have Lockett in a few leagues, most weeks a complete hole and every once in a while he has a game or two and you think the good times are gonna roll but they don't. He throws up a lot of single digits or basically ZERO on a lot of weeks this year, too many.

Abandon ship, they know who Collins is and if anything they would look to get younger RBs involved. Peterson will sign basically with anyone who wants his services, maybe Carroll just wanted to coach him before he ends his NFL career.

Been holding out hope. Schedule looks good in the playoffs, but after his and the offense's performance the last couple weeks...now combined with the AP signing AND Carroll saying Penny may play this week (good grief!!!) I need to get the hell out.

Did the same. Dropped him for Michel since I have Henderson.
