I don't completely disregard it, but 1.06 NFL draft capital goes a long way. Also, I think he looked the part in a couple of games (plural?) where Boise wasn't favored.

I also like the lineage of a guy that had 54 Ashton Jeantys come before him. That says something for persistence and durability.

I definitely did not expect Hampton to make it to 1.4. I was in talks to trade up to 2 for him. Glad that didn’t work out! Sometimes the best trades are the ones you don’t make.

Yes I definitely do have Jeanty higher. Significantly but it’s not at all crazy for Hampton to pass him. His offense could just be enough to push him past Jeanty.
