The biggest issue is he's not THAT much better than Allgeier. That's not a knock on Bijan, Allgeier is just really good. Same thing is happening with the NYJ. Other guy gets the hot hand, why not stick with him?

I have no shares (I never had a chance), but I really liked him coming into this year (but then, I really liked him going into last year too

On the season—he has 28 more rushing attempts than Allgier and only 58 more rushing yards than him. If you have Bijan—I think you have to start him—as there is no doubt that he’s explosive—but I also think that the Falcons coaching staff can’t ignore that Allgier probably needs/deserves more touches. With Cousins not looking great—-I’d personally like to see the Falcons dedicate themselves more to the running game. I’d like to see them force feed both of their capable runners which could open things up for their passing game—but maybe I’m just a hopeful Allgier owner.

Sounds about right. He was "good" last year, but every week was "this could be the week he blows up" (as projected on a weekly basis)... next thing you know, the season's over and we all blamed the coach.
Here we are, 2024, new coach, and it is rinse and repeat. Have to question his commitment to the game at some point.

Full disclosure—-I own no shares of Bijan, but I do have Allgier rostered in both of the leagues that I’m in. I probably would not sell Bijan after a quiet and disappointing week. I think you would want to move him after he has a week that at least reminds the fantasy community of his upside. With that said—I do think that Allgier is looking more and more like a guy that is a buy low candidate. The Falcons need to use their running backs more in order to rely on Cousins less. I’m not hating on Cousins—but they are asking a lot from a guy that is coming off a torn Achilles—when they have two really capable running backs. If I was a Bijan owner now—I would want Allgier for two reasons. If I am in the camp that I want to keep Bijan—Allgier is one of the best handcuffs in the league—and can be used as an emergency flex option if your team suffers other injuries. If you want to sell Bijan low—you could couple that with buying Allgier low—so that the equity loss on the Bijan side is offset by the fantasy community undervaluing Allgier.
Maybe it's a chicken and egg thing but it's the reverse of what you are saying...you get more carries when you look better

I am not in the camp that Allgier is a better RB than Bijan- but I dont think that he has to be. He just needs to show that he’s good/effective enough to command more opportunity— and I think he’s certainly done that. Hopefully they couple giving Allgier more carries with also giving Bijan more carries. If not, thats not good for Bijan owners. I personally think Bijan is a hold right now, and I think Allgier is clearly a buy low

Agreed, if evaluating on pure physical gifts; however, the eyeball test is a real thing to me... and I have seen enough of these two guys playing together to tell me that TA looks like he wants it more. Bijan runs like a guy that doesn't want to get hurt.
It's similar to QBs... NCAA career stats and physical/mental strengths are one thing, but nothing compares to playing with, and getting hit by, grown men that are getting paid to ruin your life.
Now do last year.

I'll combine them. 2023 and 2024.
TA = 213 carries for 849 yards. 4 Touchdowns. 3.99 YPC
BR = 269 carries for 1,200 yards. 4 Touchdowns. 4.46 YPC.
I'm not saying TA is better. I am saying it's a lot closer than you and some others have made it. Especially when you considered his ADP.
I initially stated TA has a big role. You passed off his role as "bordering on insignificant".

My line all along has been that he's very good, but not the player he is advertised to be. The "wow" factor is not there with him.
We're now 269 carries into his NFL career and his longest rush is 38 yards. He has no runs over 19 yards this season.
Adrian Peterson in his rookie season had rushes of 55, 64, 73 yards.
Barkley had 50, 51, 68, 68, 78. That's just his first season.
Chubb on <200 carries as a rookie had runs of 40, 63, 92 yards.
Zeke had runs of 42, 55, and 60 yards as a rookie.
Where are the chunk plays with Bijan? Where is the value-over-replacement? It's unfair to compare him to some of the best rushers in the last 20 years of the NFL, but that's what he was touted to become. He has not backed it up with splash plays. The Bengals using a thrift store combination of Zack Moss and Chase Brown are basically getting the same production. This is why teams are leery of spending big on RBs. It's easy to find serviceable.
I actually like the player and think he'll have a good career, but when you are treated like a Pro Bowl guy before you even play a down, there's no upside. You can only meet expectations or fall below them. So far in the NFL Bijan has been a lot more pedestrian than expected.

Kamara is RB1 and he's not had a run over 40 yards in 4 years or so much as a run over 20 yards in 2 years.

Kamara is 29 and has never had a 1k+ rushing season in the NFL. He's an elite fantasy asset because of his receiving.
All the same, he had a 74 yard rushing play among his 120 rookie carries.
For a guy touted to be electric, Bijan has not shown much sizzle in the NFL.
On 342 career touches, he has one play over 40 yards (a 71 yard reception last season).
He was advertised to be a special talent, but has been more of grinder so far.
Point I'm making is Kamara rarely breaks off long runs, has not broke one off in years and only has 5 over 40 in his entire caree so this is not new because of his age. He's an awesome RB so focusing on just that aspect does not do much for me is again the point I'm making.
I never recall Bijan being touted as electric. A special mover, incredible cuts, and all around skill set. I 100% see every single bit of that.
