Oh yeah, I'd do that in Dynasty too. This is for redraft. Need the most likely guy to put up points down the stretch in case Breece is shutdown entirely.

Strongly considering dropping in my best ball league that doesn’t have IR slots. Allen is available. I’m not even sure Allen is the pickup, but the vibes are off with Breece and I’m becoming more and more sure the Jets are slow rolling a shut-down.

It's a 3yr keeper league with some unique-ish keeper rules. Long story short, I wasn't planning to "keep" Allen, but could be a possibility depending how things break.
While he was still "Doubtful" when I posted this, i see they promptly ruled Hall out. Giddy up!

For realz. If we could all rewind back to the first few games of the season - Braelon was unanimously hailed as the best RB handcuff in all of football.
What’s the problem here? He’s got league winning potential if Breece misses multiple weeks.

Braelon is better. He will get the first chance - I’m sure Isaiah will get his chances as well, but if I’m forced to pick one (which most are) I’ll take the young prodigy.

But for the first few games of the season, the Jets had a semblance of a running game.
The last three games, the RB unit as a whole has produced 83 rushing yards and 0 TDs vs Seattle, 84 rushing yards and 1 TD vs Indy, and 79 rushing yards and 0 TDs vs Arizona. That's all the work of Breece, Braelon, and Davis added together. Even if Braelon gets all the looks, it's just not worth that much with Rodgers at the helm.
And this is coming from someone who has Breece in a keeper league and drafted Allen and held him on my bench all season 'just in case' of this exact situation, and this week, Allen's still on my bench because I've seen enough of how Rodgers is managing the running game, and it sucks. Now, put Tyrod at the helm or otherwise make Rodgers use the running backs instead of forcing a 25-yard pass to a receiver who's triple-covered 40 yards downfield, and maybe we've got something. And I hope it happens when the games against the softer run defenses come in weeks 15, 16, and 17.
But based on the recent trends, this week, I'm not seeing it. For sure, the next three, if the offensive play calling can get it's head out from its backside, then I'd be right there with you saying the fantasy playoffs could be huge for him.

4-D chess. Breece is my favorite Jet. The Jets are my favorite team. I’d love to see that trade as a Jet fan. It’d break my heart, but we could stanch that blood.
Only problem is that Shanahan is the reason that they’d want Breece. It’s like the O. Henry story with the woman who cuts her precious hair to buy a chain for her man’s watch while he hocks the pocket watch to buy her a brush for her hair.

HuhI’ve been holding Allen for most of the year in 3/4 leagues. I could really use him in 2 of them this week. So Davis will be the guy for the Jets this week

Allen did fine. Don’t understand why Davis got so many touches, but he looked solid too.
Jets team is just stupid. There were so many drives where they should’ve just pounded the rock with Allen or Davis, and they’d have Rodgers drop back and pass. Resulted in a few punts on 3rd and short.

Maybe. I get all leagues are different. All rosters are different and its really about options. I'm in a deeper league with THREE flex spots and I don't see either in my starting lineup. Jets showed their hand on utilization. Two RBS splitting carries on a team thats 30th in rushing attempts and 29th in rushing yards. Pass for me. Imo

Because it worked for the most part in the past. Multiple playoff runs in GB and nobody complained lol. Not so much now..

Picked this guy up a week ago because of how happy Rodgers looked when Davis got the TD after Hall left the game.
Never seen Rodgers look happy for Hall. My gut was saying Rodgers is pulling for this guy. I don't know why but I think Rodgers prefers Davis in terms of passing work, which means he's going to get on the field regardless of who the starting back is.

Any Hall/ Allen owners thinking of dumping Allen for I. Davis?
It's hard to imagine anything but a 50/50 split here and I don't think it makes sense to hold both.
Next week, the NYJs face the LARs so I could see the Jets offense needing more juice in the passing game, which could be more I. Davis.
Also wouldn't mind blocking my opponent and grabbing Davis.

My gut says stay away from Jets RBs in general, or at least until they have a QB less interested in his own stats, more hassle than they're worth.

I have Hall & Allen and I'm not even considering starting either. Hope cry baby Aaron is gone next year. He completely torched RB value on this team.

I own both in a redraft - at this point, not much you can do. I traded away a package that included Chuba Hubbard for Breece Hall... I've regretted it since doing it.
Unfortunately, I am going to echo the sentiments of everyone else and say what we thought Rodgers would do to the Jets backfield and what he is doing to the Jets backfield are two different things. Rodgers isn't willing to check the ball down. He seems to have so much autonomy over this offense that he is probably checking out of run plays and none of the Jets players are worth owning and I'll have to start Breece on all of my 3 playoff teams.
Yeah, I traded Chubba and JSN for B. Hall. That didn't work out at all. One of my poorer decisions ever.
Still projected to be the highest scorer in round 1, but damn, I'd be in great shape with those other two.
I was watching RZ so only saw some plays but at one point it looked like Allen made a boneheaded mistake (didn't turn around in time for a pass or didn't know the play call or something) and had his hands on his helmet (universal oops sign) and was taken out of the game. I was grateful he went back in at all after that. I agree it seems like Rodgers prefers Davis. Is Davis better at pass pro?
Braelon has been exceptional in pass protection and Ulbrich was lauding him a few days ago for one of his pass pro pickups in the game last week.
Why do you think Rodgers prefers Davis. I get Davis got the TD and had a better fantasy game but almost everything other then that TD by Davis was similar in almost every way and by every way I'm talking about snaps, carries, rushing yards, receptions and receiving yards.
Yeah I think Allen vs. Davis is almost 50/50 down the middle and then it's a crapshoot who would get the TD.
I'd think B. Allen is more of the get the ball inside the 3 guy while Davis is more likely to score outside the 10 yard line.
