Kind of big range of missed time depending on the grade, my guess is it's most likely not season ending but an IR stint is heading his way. They bye in week 9 so right now I'm thinking week 10 return as most likely best case scenario.
Glenn deciding to have a guy who doesn't have a good broken tackle or forced missed tackle rate returning kicks at 235 or more is an interesting decision I wouldn't have made or even thought of.
It's as confusing as Glenn's use of his RBs in general.
Most teams are using their back up running backs on kick returns this season.
True but he's not built like most backup RB's, and the way that game was going and the plans they might have had for him he might have been closer to 1B then pure backup.
Yeah he’s big and fast. I’ve seen quotes from coach’s saying the new kick off rules are essentially running plays now
I would note I think he was only returning kick offs because Nwangu was out.
Yeah, I see where you're going in regard to Aaron Glenn's culpability, but that isn't bringing Braelon's healthy knee back. I am perplexed by a lot of AG's decisions. They don't seem logically consistent nor well thought-out. It's sort of a trend I'm noticing. I get that a roster bereft of talent will have you make funny decisions, so maybe if I squint really hard and numb myself to pain I can see why the RB3 on his own team is running a 3rd and 6 draw with 3:30 left in the third quarter (he got stuffed for a loss of a yard) when the team is down fourteen.
But there's really no way around saying he's my RB1A by usage but he's also returning kicks when he's not noted for his long speed at all and he weighs at least 235 lbs.
