RB Brian Robinson Jr. - WAS (1 Viewer)

I am giving SERIOUS thoughts to drafting him in a PPR redraft above higher ADP guys like Aaron Jones, both Steelers RBs, and Mostert. Unless Eckler found the fountain of youth, I don't think he's going to take much away from Robinson, who get all the goal line carries and now seems very involved in the passing game. I could see him easily putting up RB2 numbers this year (not bad for a 7th-8th round RB right?)

I agree that Robinson is probably being undervalued. The presence of Ekeler is probably viewed as a negative, but that's probably a lot of folks remembering Ekeler for who he was, not who he is now.

I sure dont remember him for who he was. I remember him for who he is tbough. He is just good enough to take a large chunk of snaps from Robinson. None of us know how this will play out. If I were to guess it would be 60/40 Robinson. I also wouldn't be surprised if it were 50/50. Imo

Could be, but Ekeler sure looked washed last year. My gut tells me that that Ekeler will get a fair amount of work to start, but Robinson will slowly take over and make Ekeler much more of a role player.
 
I just took him over Zamir White in a PPR redraft. I just think he's more proven, he's a full year removed from the gun shot wound, and Cliff is going to utlize his RBs in the red zone. I think Robinson is going to be huge this year. All aboard!! (now I did draft Aaron Jones over him in 1 league, and honestly have slight remorse ;) )

I’d take him over white too.

The Raiders aren’t a great offense, and I like Robinson more anyway.
 
Still the biggest steal at current ADP. Offense will be improved.
People forget he shared last year with Gibson and scored just fine.

And that's what I did in my redraft tonight. Robinson went in the 6th and I took Ekeler in the 9th.

Some folks just started grabbing their favorites around that point. I took Jamo in the 7th and Chase Brown in the 8th.

Could be a total mirage, but I think the Commanders offense is going to be a lot better. In every draft I've taken McLaurin & Robinson (2-player, 12-team keeper leagues). Over 20 keepers listed, every one of them at a value. Which of course bumps up the ADP of all the remaining players. Felt really good about landing Robinson late 7th in two leagues.

But in the third league I reached for him early 6th, De'Andre Swift, Nick Chubb, Tony Pollard & Jonathon Brooks were the RBs that came off the board later in that round. Perhaps he doesn't measure favorably among those other RBs, but to me he does.

Late 7th with 20 players kept I can understand. But I'm a value guy, you really think he might have been gone late 7th in your other league? I have done 70+ bestball drafts and haven't seen him go that early even one time.

I agree their offense should be improved and he could be a bargain, so I feel good about taking him 1 full round early.... Heck even 2 full rounds early, just surprised you werent confident that he would be there when your 7th rounder came along.

I'm not going to pretend that I remember, but I was looking for a ball-carrier. My keepers were Lamb with the 11th overall & Puka in the 15th. I took McLaurin late 5th, had already drafted Josh Allen & Mark Andrews. My only other RB to that point was James Cook. I mentioned the other RBs that were drafted afterwards. Piecing together my lineup, Robinson made sense there. Not to suggest what I did was right.

Your 70 drafts & that Robinson never went that early tells me I could've crafted my draft plan differently.

I mean, your keepers in those rounds are insanely good. Prob coulda got Robinson one round later for sure, but your team seems pretty stacked anyways so probably won't matter :P

Just to clarify, Lamb was selected 11th overall, a late 1st. Stacked? That would be sweet! :)
 
His ADP jumped just a bit in the preseason. I have a few shares. It missed him a few times too. I still like him at his price.
 
Like what I'm seeing today vs a very tough D on the road faced with a negative game script. Glad I got him everywhere on the cheap.
 
Robinson was one of my best picks this year. He's currently RB11 in my league and I am 2-2. I am thinking of selling high on him and have been offered a couple trades (here).

Should I stand strong as the Commanders O is only getting better or do I look to upgrade at WR/TE and move him?

The more I am reading/getting feedback, the more I feel like keeping Robinson is the play.

You can’t afford to trade an RB.
