RB Christian McCaffrey, SF (9 Viewers)

That's really bold in my opinion.

I'd have a real hard time sitting CMC. Probably could count the guys I'd start over him on 1 hand. I suspect he'll see maybe not a full workload, but 15+ touches, and maybe 20.
Yeah, as weak as my RBs are behind him, I gotta start him if he's playing.

Agree - I mean he’s sat out 5-6 weeks now - if he’s not healed up now he never will be.

I have Mixon, Henderson, and CMC. My problem is Ridley semi-retiring leaving me with only Higgins , woods, & DJMoore.

Since I have Chubba Hubbard, what I would hate to see is McCaffrey getting 30% of the touches and Hubbard blowing up on my bench. Feels like a slim chance, but the way my luck has been rolling lately…

that said, if CMC is starting, I’m starting him. he’s had six weeks to heal and it was initially reported is not being that bad. A part of me wonders if all of the smoke and mirrors about his availability is the organization playing mind games the other way.

I think Hubbard was about to give way to Abdullah and others. Not lose the job completely, but be part of a committee.

I cuffed MCCaffery with Hubbard. And was worried Rhule might snap count limit CMC. And my only other option for my RB2 slot is Michel. This is a dynasty league where my injuries and byes have left cupboard bare. So I am starting Hubbard and CMC, this way it is Rhule proof.

Except that way you’re taking 2 roster spots for potentially the FF points of 1 player. 🤔

Decent chance it works out for you though. Chubba’s possibly a flex option even if cmc starts.

I looked at it like do I want Michel, the back up for Rams or Hubbard the back up for CMC. I thought there is a good chance Rhule plays CMC sparingly or CMC pulls up lame. In that scenario Hubbard is a nice to have contingency. Sleeper is projecting CMC and Hubbard at a little over 10 points apiece in 0.5 ppr. I thought I read somewhere Rhule mentioned a snap count limitation. Not sure where.

My win now team that just lost Henry received the following offer for CMC from a rebuild team in a dynasty:

Lawrence, CEH, Carter, Harris

Would depend on your depth at those positions - but I think I would do it - after trying to negotiate him adding a player..   A lot harder to acquire a CMC.  CEH looks bust.

I’d have a hard time making that deal.

I feel like CEH is a sell. I also feel like Harris is a sell-high after a nice little run while other RB are hurt..

Lawrence might be good or he might not. Jury’s out. The team is a train wreck.

Carter is a nice get, but not enough for CMC.

I’d hold.

If I was “paying that price to get CMC”, I’d pay. If I was offered that for CMC, I’d pass.

Assumption is you are in Win-Now mode and lost Tenn RB D Henry.  CMC owner offered you CMC for what is basically 2x 1sts & 2 x 2nd round picks??

I’d try to get him to include something like Van Jefferson or J Palmer at WR and accept the offer.

Good point - I was reading it as he *has* CMC and the other owner thought he might go into sell mode after losing Henry.

Sorry for not being more clear. I guess it hinges on whether CMC can stay healthy and if not, whether those RB options give me a chance to win coupled with some long term value. Thanks all for your input

I am guessing that a large chunk of CMC owners may not be in a position, with Bye weeks and injuries, to bench him if he can play at all..

I'm benching in a 10 team league. My RB1 and RB2 are Mixon and Patterson. I can start at flex but would have to bench Toney or Sanders.

With Swift on bye and JRob hurt, it’s CMC by default. Given how they have used him coming off injury in the past, I honestly don’t know how you could sit him unless you have great options. Rhule is never to be trusted so his coach speak of snap count could be total BS.

I’ll be boarding a plane 40 min before kickoff, hopefully no last minute issues     …don’t let me down big guy.

“Christian McCaffrey (hamstring) is active for Week 9 against the Patriots.

McCaffrey is active for the first time since Week 3. He returns with Sam Darnold gutting through a shoulder injury under center. Considering Darnold's recent play, the Pats are a nightmare spot for CMC to return, but there has been close to zero indication the Panthers are considering anything other than McCaffrey's typical role. He's a top-five back for Week 9. Inactive for the Panthers are WR Shi Smith, CB CJ Henderson, CB Stantely Thomas-Oliver, RB Royce Freeman, LB Kamal Martin, OG Pat Elflein and DT Phil Hoskins.”

Christian McCaffrey rushed 14 times for 52 yards in the Panthers' Week 9 loss to the Patriots, adding four receptions for 54 additional yards.

We suppose CMC was snap-counted in his first appearance since Week 3, but he still ended up out-touching Chuba Hubbard 18-4. McCaffrey led this moribund offense in essentially every category, including receiving yards. CMC was getting upfield at his usual lightning pace on the rare plays where he actually had space. Sam Darnold was making room to operate difficult to come by as he commanded zero respect from the Patriots' defense. Seemingly no worse from the wear after finally getting back in the saddle, McCaffrey will be back in the mix for No. 1 overall status against the Cardinals' run-funnel defense in Week 10 even with Darnold bringing down the entire operation.

Glad he's healthy. Got all his catches in garbage time which is what we want, but they needed to involve him earlier in the passing game. But yeah this offense is a dumpster fire lol
