RB Isaac Guerendo, SF (1 Viewer)

I don’t know - not sure I can bank a playoff matchup on him saying he “feels good” on a short week. He could still feel good in a timeshare situation if Shanahan doesn’t want to overwork him.

Yeah, I agree. Most pundits I'm reading on this are basically saying they highly doubt he plays tonight. They are likening this to the George Pickens situation last week where he was "going" to play and then PIT deactivated him at the last minute.

Very tough decision for holders tonight even if he gets the “go”. Guerrero, Patrick Taylor, or the Jets backfield are my options. I have a feeling whatever choice I make will not be the correct one.
Same exact boat. I have Taylor, Hall and Allen. Leaning sitting Taylor and seeing what happens with Hall for Sunday. Dumb Jets rolling out that Davis chump last week doesn't have me feeling good about Allen if Hall sits.
I hung onto Allen all year for this and Davis is an obvious thorn. I think he actually had a higher snap count over Allen last week. If Hall plays I would assume they water themselves down splitting touches between the three. Probably going Taylor or Guerendo but would rather start another kicker if I could at this point.

But... SF is out of the playoffs and this is the perfect opportunity to see if the rookie can be /the guy/ next time CMC goes down. Why wouldn't he do everything he can to play down the injury so he can prove himself? When did Shanaha start babying his Rbs? Even a guy who doesn't own CMC was complaining about him getting overused when he first got back.
If he was able to walk through, he's able to play. That's my bet. And you need to play the starting SF rb, even if your grandma is suiting up this week.

Not really. This is a HUGE game for them and they can tie LA by winning tonight.

I'm also in this exact situation. What happens if Hall plays and he comes out early in the game and calls it a night. Isn't that the same risk level as Guerendo. If we find out that Hall's status is out, then you have Davis eating into Allen's work (Davis got majority of red-zone work last week). Now, both of those guys can produce together, but if you need more upside I would start Guerendo. Bottom line is that if you wait too long, you have less options. I'll wait until game time tonight and see if I can glean any further info and then probably start Guerendo. Taylor is way too risky at this point.

Friendly reminder - please share the exact link to the story when you are sharing news you see and hear so we all are on the same page. Thanks.
My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who saw Guerendo pass out at 31 Flavors last night. I guess it's pretty serious.

Was watching ESPN this morning and they made a comment that they were worried about his past Lisfranc injury when they shut him down in the 4th quarter last Sunday. I can't remember which of their experts was talking but he made it sound like he will probably play. I am monitoring this closely but personally worry because I got burned by Bucky Irving last week so I won't make a decision about starting him until right before kickoff if he is indeed playing.

Thanks. Watching ESPN and relaying what you saw/heard is fine as long as we're clear to say that.

And yes, I think waiting until official inactives are declared is for sure the right way. Just thankful it's a Thursday game and not Monday Night.

It's a tough call because IF he plays, you don't know how much he'll play and if he'll end up getting reinjured again. Him playing depresses the value for him AND Taylor. It's a crap shoot that I don't think I'd want to play during the FF playoffs. Personally, I'd look somewhere else unless you absolutely have no other choice.

That’s the way I’m playing it. Fortunately I have other RB2 options (Cook, Charbonnet, McCormick) to play instead and just can’t risk a big scoring hole there. Would rather run the risk of Guerendo going off and at least having a chance to make it up on Sunday/Monday.

According to this, he will play.
Granted, while the title says he "will play", the text of the article says he "is expected to play".
Even with big sites, I see too much sloppiness like that with writing.

It's an expectation. Not a certainty.

So are you leery whether this news is dependable?

I probably have to start Guerendo or Taylor given I have 4 guys that are Questionable going into the weekend and don't want to risk having to start someone like Kareem Hunt. I'd almost feel better about the situation if Guerendo was ruled out, as I really worry about his workload or potentially getting pulled early if he plays. It seems every week I've had somebody leave early like Bucky last week, but I need upside this week as my overall team is not very good.

Yes. See the news on George Pickens last week. He was "expected to play" up until 45 minutes before gametime. So not only was he OUT for that game, but it also turned out that the injury is going to keep him OUT this week as well.

No. Not leery.

It was more a comment that I see sites be not careful wtih words. The right words are "he's expected to play". Not that he will play as they don't know that for certain in the morning.

So it looks like he's starting
You feel confident he'll finish the game?
You putting him in your lineup?
if not who's your backup?
I start him or plug in Jayden Reed .

You want us to to hit you on the back to get your lungs started? ....jk....Reed hasn't been much lately, but it's a risk with Guerendo that he could rejinure it. If my playoff life was on the line I would probably start Reed and pray, but that's just me.

I’m sitting him for 3 other RBs that are ranked above him in FBG rankings. One (James Cook) I don’t feel 100% great about but he’s been good every other game and it’s propped to be high scoring.

I’m favored in my matchup, so I’ll take a safer floor I think.

I’m also going against Kittle tonight, so if Gurendo is getting yards or tds, at least I can take solace in the fact that they aren’t going to Kittle.

If he pops off on my bench, so be it. But I’m too uneasy about his workload.

I would trust Guerendo over Reed I think. Maybe not. Tough one.

Hardly a ringing endorsement
And pretty much how I feel

Starting him in the flex over Deebo and Braelon Allen. You Deebo owners can thank me later for this surely being Deebo's breakout game out lf his slump.

Cook’s floor could be very low if the Bills get behind in Detroit.

Cook has receiving skills

I’m putting him in my flex. I have Ferguson or Swift I could put in but I’m swinging for the fences. The lack of confidence I have in fergy or swift is about as much as my trepidation in putting Guerrendo.

Is Swift on the injury report?

Jeff Mueller, PT, DPT
Schefter confirms that Isaac Guerendo suffered a Lisfranc injury in college.

This oddly makes me less hesitant about playing him tonight.
He knows how that feels. He likely was nervous on the injury, but XRay/MRI came back clean. He feels good.

High upside despite risk.
Start.

That goose egg from Reed last week was brutal.

So conflicted. He has a massive ceiling tonight but do we dare risk his floor in first round of playoffs?
