RB Isiah Pacheco, KC (1 Viewer)

We have one more FAAB waivers to run before today's games start and before he blows up.

I have the second lowest FAAB remaining by a mile and have zero chance getting him after today.

Sitting pretty with Henry, Pierce, and KW in a start 2 RB and Flex lineup.

Should I go all in this morning or $1 more than the lowest FAAB guy who might be reading this forum and is a roster churner so most likely to bid on him today.
This is where I am. Most people already have their rosters locked in, and I doubt ESPN/hosting sites even posts an update until closer to kickoff (and after most waivers). (UPDATE) ESPN actually already updated and adjusted point projections for both KC RBs.) It also has a lot of uncertainty with nothing to go on other than "getting the start" I'm taking a flyer but prob only putting 10% of my remaining FAAB

Already rostered since day 1 in my 14 team league. I have CEH and was waiting for Pacheco to be dropped, but RBs are scarce in bigger leagues. In this offense, his value might be pass protection and the "potential" for a big run, even though CEH has looked good when there have been holes. Pacheco has 2 lost fumbles thus far .... CEH has 2 in 3 years.

Edwards has looked awful the past couple of weeks. The chiefs lost last week although to a really good team, and probably who they end up against in AFC Championship. If they lose this week against SF, which is possible especially because of their defense. You have to wonder if they focus on being less one dimensional, and start being more balanced???

Pachecho looks like a thunder and lightning every time he touches the ball. Keep the dream alive lol
While I like Pacheco and would like him to get more I don’t know that they trust him because his touches seem to correlate to lopsided games. Until that changes he’s an injury Hail Mary.

Yea. It's either injury to Edwards-Helaire/Mckinnon, or a late season/playoff explosion if/when he earns the full trust of the coaching staff, and the full grasp of the offense. Definitely a lottery ticket

it would just be so much fun to watch though lol

Dreams do come true lol

It’s happening!!!!
:excited:

In the only league I have Pacheco I’m in complete rebuild, so the start-in-name is meaningless to me, but it’s a really nice sign for the future.

Potentially the best 5th round rookie pick evar!

OMG - I just pulled the trigger in 2 leagues.

Drop J Robinson p/u Pacheco
Drop B Cooks p/u Pacheco

Edit: felt J Robinson was becoming less and less valuable for bench support trending down and not tradeable. Glad to dump him for a potential upside play. Cooks is another player underperforming.
Cooks is a rough drop.

I feel like he’s too good to keep stinking up the place. I probably would have tried to deal him 1st.

A sixth-round dynasty pick to starting for the KC Chiefs. Now that's an investment with a nice ROI! Holy moly.

But San Fran, man. Those guys are bad as all get out on defense. Not expecting great things today. But who knows? Fire up your Pachecos if you need him.
They said we were crazy. Well who’s crazy now?!

(Still me, but that’s unrelated to FF)

anybody brave enough to start him? (outside of those forced to bc of injuries, etc)? Maybe a better question is projected stats for the day? "getting the start" doesn't always equate to playing the lion share of the snaps or all important RZ snaps
Not today, but I also have Breece Hall and Dameon Pierce. Pacheco offers me some flex and bye week backup unless he blows up to full time starter.

From the camp of 'If you don't have anything nice to say, etc...', I say: good luck to all the Pacheco faithful and hopeful today! I'm not one of you, but plenty of us have been in your shoes regarding other Players, and there's no better feeling than when things play out as you'd like them to.

Long way from that happening, as for me that would mean the Chiefs kick CEH to the curb & Pacheco is a feature back next year.

But this is a nice development, for sure.

I looked into the matchup and saw that SF still are injured a bit, but Chiefs are a team they want to contend with so expect them to be all try hards. https://ninernoise.com/2022/10/22/49ers-injury-news-crucial-starters-chiefs/

This game is now must watch with CMC vs Pacheco. So much fantasy eyes on this. Grabbed Pacheco everywhere I could 3-4 teams now have my leading league winner (Kingmaker lotto) candidate.

What are some projections we have for today? I'm thinking at least 50% and 12-15 touches? ESPN has a 6pts half ppr but I think he can get at least 10 pts. Pretty conservative.

What are some projections we have for today?

I don't usually give subscriber information away because I respect Joe's business, but today seems to possibly serve as an advertisement for the product. Sig Bloom is aware of this development, is awake and ready, and has changed his projections to have Pacheco at 10.84 points in my half PPR league.

Now, this is all going off of Rapaport and assumes not only is he getting the reporting right, but also that KC doesn't make an in-game adjustment back to other running backs should this not be working out well. It probably assumes KC is hanging with SF and Pacheco is effective in his first few series. Caveat emptor in a major way.

Good luck, folks!

Damn, rock. I thought you were a new poster. You changed your avatar!

Briefly considered it, but I think it’s too risky given the matchup plus uncertainty at how it will play out. In the two leagues where I picked him up, the alternative is Brian Robinson, who’s in a fairly similar situation, the differences being a better matchup and a more clearly defined two-down role

Rap's report clearly says that CEH will still have a key role today. I think anyone that is forced to start either of these guys today will result in a nothing burger. If anything CEH has a much higher side to catch a TD. Good luck to the brave souls this afternoon.

What’s the best player you’re seeing dropped for him across all your leagues? I got him in two; JWilson in one (no brainier) and Foreman in another (tougher choice, but his upside is too limited and I didn’t want to give up on my rookie WR lottery tickets of GWilson and Wan’dale)

I know about Cooks and he's bound to trend up. I like Pierce the one to own. No time to try and trade Cooks that nobody wants. He was dropped and a free FA pick up. Pulled the trigger for much bigger upside.

Kupp, Higgins, Bateman, A Pierce, and J Williams on IR bench. Cooks was expendable.

I dropped him for Henderson (10 teamer). Could be risky but with the state of that offense, the upcoming schedule, and the Kyren hype, I don't want to be tempted to start him.

I’d have to drop two for him: Henderson or Mostert and Gus for Pacheco? It’s a ten team short bench league. Ppr.

Not starting him today but picked him up for backup and potential.
I also like the potential in this offence. I'm just not sure we will ever get a primary guy out of the bunch, barring an injury of course.

I am enjoying the “CEH getting benched is good for him” takes this morning. Getting benched is not typically good for usage. CEH has been a borderline #1RB in fantasy, easy to see Pacheco’s upside here.

Kyren Williams ran like a 4.7, pro day adjusted. His burst score puts him in the bottom twenty percent of pro running backs. That's awful. I'm not sure the Rams have what they think they have. He's also a small back. Small, slow backs aren't beating out Darrell Henderson, and I'm not a Henderson honk, either.

My options for my RB2 slot are Pacheco or Gordon/Murray. I'll take the spry young RB with the fresh legs and wheels and hope for a big gainer.

Wonder if this means they're taking him off of return duties (my league rewards return yards).

dropped Irv Smith for him...was carrying him early this season and dropped him. He was dumped this week thank the lord. I think this guy is going to play today like his life depends on it. Will be fun to watch and with serious bye issues I might just Flex him..

Does Pacheco's pass blocking play a role in his ascension to #1, especially vs the 49ers? I recall a play in the BUF game where CEH engaged a blocker up the middle and was pushed back towards Mahomes affecting the throw.

Is that Shutterfly Rock? I'm partial to Pinky Pie and Minty but each to his own.

Pacheco taking it to paydirt from inside the 5 has a nice ring to it.

Already started Eno in my flex, and have Henry and Breece rolling out, but will be watching what Pacheco does. Would love to start him in flex going forward. Tough matchup for sure, but let's roll.

I want to see how this plays out. Rapp’s report stated they would both have a significant role. So I am tempering expectations and going to enjoy the game.

I’m seriously frozen lol. I’ve dropped Gus. You value Pacheco over Mostert and not Henderson?

No, he'd put Pacheco ahead of everybody on that list other than Mostert.

Mostert>Pacheco>Henderson or Gus

That's how I'm reading it.

Because I completely disagree. My rankings?

Henderson>Mostert>Pacheco>Gus

But good luck with your decision.

Thanks. Cut Henderson and stashed Kyren in the IR spot.

He was RB4 in PPR after 4 weeks. better than borderline but it was not sustainable long term. I think everyone knew this, it's why there was so much SELL SELL narrative flying around.

....now watch him crap the bed.
It’s the 49ers D. Not sure any RB is exactly set up for success.

Honestly this seems more like an honorary start considering they’re going to deploy all 3 RB. But it seems more like a negative message for CEH & a positive statement about Pacheco.

Whether that all translates to the field is a ?

....now watch him crap the bed.

You can say __________________ ****s the bed today on anyone. Nothing concrete to post this but I get the joke.

Even if Pacheco does **** the bed, how many times do you wake up Sunday Morning and have this fall in your lap with Bye Week issues, etc...it's a perfectly legit bet to go Pacheco today and the results do not impact the logic of the front side decision making. I didn't take your post seriously but I get tired of everyone just going negative. The results do not tarnish the shine we all see this morning, this is the kind of move for some today that might win a critical game in Week 7, lift teams from 3-3 to a winning record and hope down the stretch.

Smile, have a beer or shot...or don't but I would relax and enjoy these type of brain exercises, a new toy at RB to discuss Sunday Morning, GAMEDAY, wonderful opportunity for those fortunate enough to have him

Yes, it was intended satire.

Honestly this seems more like an honorary start considering they’re going to deploy all 3 RB.

I don't think you announce this or go about it because of ceremony. This feels like a "we're going to start the game with this guy because we think he's the best for today's job." SImple as that, really. I don't expect great things from him, but it's a little more than honorary, one would think.
