I just saw him on the TD celebrating with his teammatesI assume he's hurt?? Haven't seen him entire 2nd half.
Ok so he's just a backup at this point, good to know.I just saw him on the TD celebrating with his teammatesI assume he's hurt?? Haven't seen him entire 2nd half.

Wasn't even in 1st down inside the 2, comical. McDermott's an idiot and can't wait to see them go one & done in playoffs.
He’s an idiot because he doesn’t have his smallest skill player on the field in goal line situations?Wasn't even in 1st down inside the 2, comical. McDermott's an idiot and can't wait to see them go one & done in playoffs.
He’s not getting as much volume as he had been earlier this year - probably by design to not overwork him as a smaller guy and keep him fresh for the playoffszCook rarely seems to have two good rushing efforts in a row.
James Cook saw 100% of Buffalo's running back rushes against the Rams. He ran the ball six times.

29 carries in last 3 games combined, 2 of the games he had 20 yards. And they have quit throwing to him. He's a no start in fantasy playoffs.Cook rarely seems to have two good rushing efforts in a row.
The issue though is snap count - seeing Davis and even Ty Johnson on the field a lot and I don’t think it’s just for blocking purposes.James Cook saw 100% of Buffalo's running back rushes against the Rams. He ran the ball six times.

It's so weird because Cook is good in space and is arguably better as a third down/passing option back than Johnson. I think defenses also key in on the run when they see Cook in there. From a playcalling perspective it's pretty braindead IMO.The issue though is snap count - seeing Davis and even Ty Johnson on the field a lot and I don’t think it’s just for blocking purposes.James Cook saw 100% of Buffalo's running back rushes against the Rams. To follow up, Cook had a 45% snap count last night. Agree, mind numbingly stupid. I might be starting Rico over him going forward...
Plus, not getting the goal line carries like he was early in the season. Josh taking them himself now. Big problem for Cook owners. To follow up, Cook had a 45% snap count last night. As mentioned upthread, I don’t think they ever envisioned him to be a big workhorse. He averaged around 14 carries and fewer than 3 receptions a game last year. This year, it’s been a bit less at around 13 and 2. The difference is that he’s scored 12 TDs so far this year versus 6 all of last. So he’s become largely dependent on TDs and big plays.Plus, not getting the goal line carries like he was early in the season. Josh taking them himself now. Don’t forget that Josh is the goal line back. Hell, he’s got 2 Rushing TDs today. Can be dumped in dynasty leagues. Splits carries with 2 other backs, they don't throw to him anymore and comes out inside the 10.

The bad news about next week is that he seems to pop off every other week.Cook's been my rock steady RB2 all season long. If I advance in my playoff wildcard today, it'll be largely because of him. Stud.

He’s RB13 after today in my half point PPR league. Lots of complainers about him on the weeks he doesn’t blow up.
Jimmy Two Times
Funny how that worksRushing TDs not a problem this year.
He overperformed every other week.4th round pick most redraft folks took as an RB2
far exceeded his draft capital
9th in PPG, 9th in Consistency
17 TD season
FFers bitched about him every other week
I hold him in a dynasty league and admittedly never feel confident starting him, but he has had a great year. He will never be a high-touch guy and is a little big play/TD dependent. I thought he would be more of a receiving back but that has never really taken off.4th round pick most redraft folks took as an RB2

I don’t think anyone thought he would cross the stripe the way he did. I hold him in dynasty and thankfully nobody wanted him prior to the season when I was looking to trade him.I struck out looking on this guy. I was probably his biggest hater.
I thought Allen would take too much goal line work. I thought Ray Davis would be a big thorn in his side. I really though you'd look up today and see Najee Harris numbers.
Woof. Dude was an absolute stud. I had almost no shares. Gotta eat some crow on this one. Back to the drawing board.
