In addition to everything else noted, it cannot be stressed enough that the Browns have been starting Jacoby Brissett.
Everyone knows Cleveland has the best offensive line/RB talent and opposing DCs have been loading the box, sometimes with up to 10 defenders within 3 yards of the LOS to stop the Browns potent rushing attack.
Every team has dared Jacoby to beat them with his arm.
PFF does not adjust grades based on how RBs are used or if opposing DCs sell out to stop the run.
What do you anticipate will be D’Ernest Johnson’s share if a trade happens? Very capabable runner (obviously) but how is his pass pro / receiving game?
I’ve had him rostered a few times but lil’ rough rn with covering byes + more injuries than IR slots.
One of the beat writers covered the roles of the backup RBs, can't recall if Ford or Johnson would be the best complimentary back to Chubb as the other was more of a true backup to Chubb with similar skill set.
Chubb in the role of a true runner, fantastic GL scorer and threat to take it the distance but not as deft catching the ball. He also has turned into a fine blocker but isn't asked to take on that role with Hunt in the mix.
Have to think that D'Ernest Johnson with a few years under his belt knows blitz pickups better than the rookie Jerome Ford but as I noted, next year D'Ernest is a FA and the Browns will be eating the full DeShuan Watson contract so IF Hunt gets dealt then that is a pure mercenary salary cap move since he will also be a FA next year and they can recoup a draft since he wasn't drafted and wouldn't be eligible for the Browns to receive a compensatory draft pick.
