RB Rachaad White, TB (4 Viewers)

Seems to me like that guy’s whole schtick is to make outlandish claims to stand out. So if a RB goes from like RB30 to RB15, he can still claim that he was higher on that RB than anyone else, he knows how to find the high risers, etc. Nevermind being dead wrong on saying that RB is the best in his class. Who needs credibility when you’ve baited people to noticing you? Anything for those interactions. That’s the prevailing notion it seems.

I’m getting the same vibe as those randos on Twitter that make up reports on players signing with a team, in hopes that it does happen and they can troll the media to say they got the scoop first. Maybe I’m being harsh here but as someone who likes Pacheco and White, that guy can’t possibly believe what he’s selling. I’m not buying it.

After actually checking who it was that said all this, I take it back. I actually really respect Fischer’s scouting reports. I’ve had a chance to look through some over the past couple of years and he ended up being right most of the time. He was skeptic of Terrace Marshall, I ignored it and got burnt. Loved Alec Pierce, and there’s been at least some signs of life there. There’s plenty other examples but those are a few that come to mind. So I’m just baffled at the Rachaad White hype from that video, given his scouting report of White had a much more grounded outlook.

White saw 17 of the Buccaneers’ 24 running back carries in Week 1. His efficiency was low, gaining 2.3 yard per carry behind an subpar offensive line. Without much splash, White still saw 19 total touches, and a touchdown would have made this a good fantasy day. He is a borderline-RB2 for the team’s Week 2 matchup against the Bears.

They both looked indecisive and did not create much on their own.

I would imagine the touch breakout will remain the same for the majority of the season.

I suppose “soon” isn’t the right word. “Eventually” is probably more appropriate, but it could happen sooner than expected if:
1. White fumbles and get benched, Tucker comes in and looks clearly superior.
2. White gets dinged up and misses some time, Tucker comes in and looks clearly superior.

Most seem to agree that White isn’t a special player, and many believe Tucker is, or could be. If White does anything to open the door for Tucker to impress, it would be pretty easy for the coaches to simply pivot to Tucker as the lead RB.

He is an above average receiver and competent blocker. Honestly, the offense will need to become much more efficient if either player is to have any real fantasy value. It's just the first game so you can understand some of the indecision from both of them.

Yea agreed. White has looked average at best, and does nothing that gets you excited.

Cook was an ankle tackle away from a long TD run, and bad luck on a pass where it hit the defenders helmet otherwise he would have scored there too on a 40 TD reception

It's not even a fine line when it comes to seeing the difference between Cook and White, it's glaringly obvious who the player with a higher ceiling is. Good question - that's where metrics can be deceptive. All that really matters is what the coaches see/think - unfortunately, we haven't heard anything from them.

Imo he’s a really good blocker which is where Tucker has to improve to get him.

Rachaad still may not be the most efficient RB out there, but is getting volume, doing the job and, perhaps most importantly, the team is winning. Tucker may get his share at some point, but doesn't seem to be a big threat to White at this point.

Yeah, that's the game I saw too. Mayfield was under siege as well, they just couldn't get Philly blocked up front. I happened to see the Green Bay game, after Carr went down the Packers took over. I agree with Tampa, but if Carr is out White could be a volume play. Just saying, the Saints didn't look the same, including their defense.

He has no competition so he dominates touches , its what he does with those touches thats the issue , as a starter on an NFL team hes a 3rd tier RB and thats stretching it a bit.

Hes just an average talent getting volume. Hes on my bench as a bye fill in or replace an injured RB i normally use . Hes started wk 1 & 2 for me , he did great wk 2 ill admit, but not much since, thankfully i was waiting for Breece Hall to get up to speed which he has.

He's a pretty inefficient RB - even the numbers last year bore that out. Seems to be below average in the running game, but solid in the passing game and a good blocker, so that will keep him on the field a ton.

In dynasty leagues, I think he's a big time sell as I see him very easily being replaced next year (if not this).
