No more than two. Christian McCaffrey led running backs in PFF’s WAR last year with .22 wins above replacement. Running backs just don’t move the meter, but I suspect Barkley has probably won two games. He’s had that good of a year.

me too. Gainwell has been pretty effective in his limited role, suggesting the O line deserves a ton of the credit. not suggesting a replacement level player sniffs 2K, but they would have used Gainwell more and passed a bit more

Yeah 5-6 seems way too high. They won 14 games a few years ago with Miles Sanders at RB, so much of the credit has to go to the line. All that said, they were run heavier this year than in years past, so Barkley still does have to get a fair amount of credit. To make a short story long, 2-3 sounds reasonable in the absence of corroborating data.

Derrick Henry has 58 EPA. But also 5 more touchdowns so I’m guessing that’s the delta.

Taking that into account, let’s equalize them. Barkley and Henry are worth 4 ppg then. Big difference versus replacement imo

Lamar Jackson had the 4th best passer rating in NFL history this season and almost had 1000 rushing yards to boot. That wouldn't qualify as decent but not spectacular. His season was both more impressive and more valuable than Barkley's was.
