RB TreVeyon Henderson, NE (9 Viewers)

There's also D'Onta Foreman who doesn't have prior history with the Pats but does have history with the Titans from when Vrabel coached them. He's washed but that's a different story. Preferably they'd want someone else, someone who has KR value.
Foreman so underrated. Seems to produce whenever called on. Wouldn't mind that.

Wouldn’t be surprised if he ends up with the Chargers. They are much more desperate.

@Anarchy99 the Patriots will surely bring in another back, right? JaMycal Hasty brought back?
Hasty is on the Dolphins practice squad. But NE could still sign him. The Pats have Terrell Jennings on their practice squad.

If we are fishing for prior NE RB connections, Zeke Elliott is on the LAC practice suqad, Pierre Strong is on the Packers practice squad, and Kevin Harris was signed but released by the Jaguars and is a free agent.

They had Trayveon Williams and Joran Mims around in the the season. Both are free agents. That's about the the list of recent RB options for them.

I have not heard anything other than let's-make-a-wild-guess speculation of who they might consider. So I won't even go there. If I hear of anything I will let people know.
They’re gonna need someone to return kicks. With only Hendo & RS, that’s less than ideal to risk either of them on KR/PR as they did after Gibby went down.

I wonder if Henderson will be the main guy on kick returns? Asking since my work league is dumb as hell and rewards 1 pt per 10 return yards. I know Stevenson returned 2 last game but he isn't even listed on the depth chart as a KR. Previously it was Gibson and Henderson.

Well, after seeing what happened to Gibson, I would hope they’re smarter than that

I have zero faith in Vrabel to do the right thing. He's still keeping Stevenson out there to cough up the ball every game. I also saw they are activating a RB from the practice squad and "Vrabel loves that he runs hard and what he offers". More RBBC crap.

I agree. I would not be shocked and would lmao if come Sunday we see some dude that was in street clothes get a carry before Henderson.

Outside of the massive frustration and my 1-4 record as a Henderson owner, my opinion hasn't changed on him. The guy is the best offensive weapon the Patriots have. His usage has been more then frustrating. They are 3-2 and prolly don't feel a massive change is needed yet. Yet. My gut says it's coming. One 20 touch game and this guys value shoots through the roof. The problem is does that game even come this year? In my opinion it does.

Such a hard guy to roster. No way you can trade him at his current value and just super hard to start. The dreaded roster clogger that looks good but gives your nothing.

If before the season, you had told me Rhamondre would have lost 3 fumbles in the 1st 5 weeks and Gibson would tear his ACL--I would have bet the farm that Henderson is "the guy" and a top 12-15 RB.

And somehow, we're here. It's like Rhamondre keeps fumbling and Vrabel keeps worrying that the rookie MIGHT fumble.

He’s clearly not worried about fumbles. He’s probably worried about pass protection.

But I thought Henderson was one of the best pass pro backs in the draft? This is what NFL.com said about him:

"Sorts, centers and strikes like an offensive lineman in protection." and "He might be the best pass-protecting running back in this draft"

Either the scouts with NFL.com got it wrong, or Vrabel is an idiot or playing games. Pretty sure he's an idiot since he keeps running Stevenson out there.

@warpig33 All the scouting reports were glowing about his pass pro in college. However, that hasn't yet translated to the NFL which has been substantiated by eye test, not just Vrabel being a mule. He has the aptitude and underlying skill set but has yet to make the adjustments to the NFL. Not sure if it's the difference in skill of the opponent or not quite having the scheme responsibility part down yet.

Considering I have one share in dnyasty on a competitive team that could really use him and in my home league redraft, I'm hoping that he has a "typical" rookie growth pattern. We're approaching midseason. The bye in week 14 is not ideal for him to come on "after the bye."

Could easily be a combo of both of these... NFL is an adjustment for sure and sometimes rookies gotta rookie. Clearly, whether pass pro or otherwise, there are trust issues between this coaching staff and Hendo right now.

It's really interesting and worth a study/conversation why he's been so bad at it so far. Guys I respect, like Daniel Jeremiah, said he's the best pass blocking RB he's ever scouted*. And then he gets in the league and he's not just ok, he's kind of sorry at it.

*With respect to DJ, the correct answer was always LeQuint Allen, at least in terms of best in this draft.
