The last couple weeks, sure. Before that he was seen as one of the biggest busts.

I don't see how anyone couldn't see the opportunity coming with Stevenson out and Jennings banged up. Not that Jennings is much of an obstacle and neither is Johnson. I took advantage of this timing and played Henderson. When Stevenson comes back I may change my mind going forward, but I knew to take advange of Henderson now.

That's the only part that is in doubt. His recent usage was not due to the RB room circumstances. You can't automatically say that Stevenson won't take away some, or even a lot, of his value.

Thanks for bringing up yards after contact. That's a stat fantasy players don't look at enough IMO

Yeah, it was the bright spot in his overall performance last night (TDs are too high variance for me to draw any conclusions going forward). I commented on it in the game thread that it looked like he was slipping contact and even trucking defenders last night.
Anyone have info on his pass pro last night? Any obvious mistakes or great blocks?

I made the effort to watch that part of his game last night. He looked solid to me. Being a smaller guy, he’s not going to devastate pass rushers but he wasn’t getting run over either.

Like I said, the light seemed to come on this week in terms of his hitting holes and defenders with purpose. Not mistake free IMO but the hesitation and running into blockers backs stuff seems to be (god willing) behind him. He looked like an NFL running back last night. He still gets shoelace tackled more than you'd like to see but at least he was making dudes pay instead of trying to get cute and going down on light contact. The ability is there but IMO he's still far from a finished product.

A lot of criticism about his yardage averages but speaking to the pass receiving part of his game, he was pretty much getting hit immediately after the catch on the 4 receptions excluding the TD catch. I would love to see him with even a little bit of space at some point.

This will ruffle some feathers for sure.
Like always, the tweets are accurate. But they mask other things going on. And for the 100th time, I am not bashing Henederson. Henderson had 124 yards on two rushing TD. Which means he had 85 yards on his other 41 attempts with a 2.0 ypc.Having 5 TDs in two games is great. The highlight real TDs are great. The long winning streak is great. The team is in position to be the #1 seed in the AFC, which is great. But a 2.0 ypc is not great. And neither was the game when Maye got sacked 6 times in one of the games Stevenson was out.
What am I getting at here? When Stevenson comes back healthy, NE is destined to go back to Stevenson and Henderson splitting the workload. And it's going to be a 1A and 1B situation . . . with Stevenson likely to get a higher snap percentage than Henderson. The writing is on the wall here. That's how McDaniels operates, And I don't think NE will view Henederson's performance as light years better than Stevenson's. They will praise Henderson for picking up the slack and holding down the fort while Stevenson was out. And then go back to close to normal the way they operated before.
And in case it wasn't clear here, this is me mapping out what is most likely to happen, not what I think should happen.

Yes. His confidence, the team's confidence, and his overall level of contribution and pass protection have all increased. The takeaway should be that the team trusts either guy. But the other takeaway is that the run blocking is still a big issue. Other than those two big Henderson runs, the running game no matter who the back has been hasn't gained much on the ground. In the other 232 RB carries other than the two Henderson breakaway TDs, they have a 3.5 ypc for all other carries. (Henderson is at 3.7 without the long TDs). Henderson clearly is the can take it to the house option. But so is Kyle Williams. And Williams had a breakway score too and really doesn't seem to be getting added into the scheme (and won't very involved once Boutte comes back).

It's clearly a toe injury. They called it turf toe. But I have no idea what it is (turf toe, sprain, hairline fracture, ligament issue, etc.). I think he probably will be back against the Bengals if he doesnt have further issues and it doesnt hurt or get inflamed in practice next week. But I think NE is comfortable enough in Henderson now that they won't rush to get Stevenson back if he is borderline. Hope that helps.

Guy in my league thought he was being sneaky,trading Henderson for Walker 2 weeks ago,after Walkers bye week. I know he thought he was getting extra value bc Henderson still has his bye week..
Points matter in our league for playoff spots.
So know he's going out of his mind seeing Henderson explode last 2 weeks.
I couldn't be happier,as this owner is a cocky, thinks he knows it all type guy.
Hope Walker gives him another 4 -8 point game this week....

Be nicer about him or the fantasy Gods will do something terrible to Henderson and I have a lot of shares. So please say a prayer to the fantasy Gods for your I’ll will towards that owner, and not to false fantasy Gods either, or you will have to wander the desert for 40 years.
You’re on the coaching staff? You seem so sure of this I’m wondering if they’re paying you.

I think you’re making a couple of assumptions here that I question.
You’re assuming that the team didn’t notice that he’s running different now. Both teammates and coaches.
I think a run game can be a work in progress with a young OL and a new coaching staff. I’m sure you noticed that outside zone run.
Vrabels career as a receiver gives me hope that he’s capable of creativity.

The only writing on the wall is that Henderson is going to be much more involved going forward. There is no way Stevenson is going to get a higher snap percentage. I’m saying this as a Pats fan as well, the genie is out of the bottle.

He was a linebacker. I think @greenmountaingoat is referring to the fact that Vrabel was used on offense near the goal line quite successfully. 10 career receptions for 10 TDs.
Even after Thursday, I'd gladly make that trade today.

I am sure Stevenson will be back to rain on the parade vs Cincy of all teams.
We need Monangai blow up only to become a bit player again when everyone was rolling him out after his big game last week.
We all have no choice but to start Henderson vs Cincy next week but we have to be fearful of Stevenson being back and how Vrabel will use them.
I assume Henderson will not get any carries inside the 5 with Stevenson back in the mix that will hurt and he might not get any inside the 10.
It will be frustrating I am sure.

No clue how anyone had him on the bench for this game vs Jets after he went bonkers last week.
I have Henderson in 13 leagues I played him in 12 leagues in week 9 and played him all 13 this week.
Seemed easy calls to me with Stevenson out.
