RB Tyjae Spears, TEN (1 Viewer)

How are y’all valuing him compared to high upside backups like Tuten or Corum?
I added Spears everywhere I could as he was coming off injury. Pollard has done nothing with the full workload and Spears is explosive. I dropped Corum to pick up spears in one league but would also drop Tuten. Just my 2 cents. I like to grab guys that can win the job and/or have some stand alone value. I don't think Tuten or Corum are those guys, they are insurance if the starter goes down.

There's a nice cut by Spears.

He's not supposed to be doing that. His prio RB coach and Vrabel were adamant that him being cute between the tackles will lead to injury. There's outside moves and inside moves.
Henry's jump cut is more of a pivot with one foot down and his shoulder down too. He's ready if someone leaks in.
Spears is straight up like an 8th grade RB. He's very unprotected for a good second.
I'd bet ol guy McCoy didn't like it.

Also Henry's predraft critique was too upright and he got trained to bounce it outside if he is so maybe Spears was supposed to ignore that hole and bounce it too.

He had a lot of training alongside one of the best to ever take care of his bod. He better act like it

Radio today is brutal.
A morning guy said Tyjae should be the lead back and it's stayed a topic...where has everyone been? He is made of fine china. You only take him out of the cabinet for occasions

I agree, but neither Spears or Pollard is going to be with the Titans long term. Neither was brought in by the new coach that will coming in. I would use Spears more just because he seems to have better burst than Pollard as this point and hopefully give the offense a slight boost.

Have there been any rumblings of TN "looking to the future" and rolling with Spears?

I know this is a dreadful offense, but if come fantasy playoffs Spears is the lead dog he could be flexworthy.

Just dropped in a couple larger leagues. And I'm RB desperate.

I'd like to see them just use him on every third down like Kevin Faulk and Meggett and Sproles and all them.

He hasn't cut it as a lead back.
He's a little too obvious outside as a shared/complimentary back and the stats just aren't there. How long do ya wait?

Do you remember how valuable those guys were to their teams? I think he could excel and is quite capable of similar impact.

Also I have doubts he's comfortable. How many carries will he get? How will he be used this week? I think there might be some value to his development to know his role and usage each week.

He's often put in bad situations. I've heard that and I get that, but not one other backup RB has ever received that excuse and they all have been.

He's becoming a real roster clogger in dynasty. Still too young and talented to drop, but never of much use anytime I could use a spot start. I might have to dust him off if Judkins and Jeanty are both out this week. However, I can probably make a stronger case for Vidal or Tucker even if Irving and Hampton are back in the mix.
