raying:Can't have him carry this load every week. Dude's body is obviously breaking down.
He tweaked his ankle versus Seattle. He played more downs than any RB in the league through week 3. So you really think that is sustainable?!![]()
it was a helmet to the ribs. That's what broke down.
And hurt his wrist last week.He tweaked his ankle versus Seattle. He played more downs than any RB in the league through week 3. So you really think that is sustainable?!
I think he looked awesome and someone hit him in the ribs with a helmet. He tweaked his ankle versus Seattle. He played more downs than any RB in the league through week 3. So you really think that is sustainable?!
Yes - it's called football. Players hurt body parts. And hurt his wrist last week.
Jesus, relax. I'm typing fast while juggling work and a message board. It's not my narrative. The dude can't handle this many snaps - that's my narrative coming into this week. The rib injury is what it is. I came here to post this because I saw him - no sound on my TV at that point because my son is motor mouthing non stop - and it looked like he was limping. It reminded me that he's getting nicked up every week.I think he looked awesome and someone hit him in the ribs with a helmet.
All due respect but you're being ridiculous with the "his body is breaking down" line of reasoning. Utterly ridiculous. Any body can "break down" with one hit. It's called "football".
You're advancing a narrative that's for nothing to do with his injury. I do not support your belief that his rib injury was caused by his sustained usage through 3 games.
Sure. And plenty of other players a) aren't getting the workload he is, and b) aren't getting as visibly nicked up each week.Yes - it's called football. Players hurt body parts.
pretty sure his wrist injury & rib injury were 1. Unrelated, 2. Very much related to getting hit on the wrist / rib respectively.
This ain't rocket surgery folks.

OMG. I'm not saying the ankle and wrist are related to the ribs. Are you even reading my posts?![]()
3 unrelated injuries.
Not a pattern. Not cause and effect by usage. That is exactly what you suggested. And it's silly.
He took a helmet to the ribs. It's a singular event. His prior injuries didn't contribute. I disagree with you.
enjoy your evening.
Serious question: do you think Montgomery should play the highest snap count of any NFL RB this season?![]()

Unrelated injuries. Sure. But he does not have a history of even playing RB, never mind holding up under a three down back workload. So go ahead and bury your head in the sand. There is no evidence he can withstand the pounding. In fact, the evidence suggests the opposite.![]()

You said he was breaking down, in response to this rib injury.OMG. I'm not saying the ankle and wrist are related to the ribs. Are you even reading my posts?
The ankle ABSOLUTELY could be usage related. The wrist could too - I didn't see the play. Fully agree that the ribs are a fluke -- which I alluded to above, when explaining why I posted in here. I thought he was limping, wrongly assumed it was ankle-related again, then got caught up eventually by the game thread.
But hey, keep putting words in my mouth. It's all good.
So yeah - that's what you said. Can't have him carry this load every week. Dude's body is obviously breaking down.
I think he's looked good doing it so far.Serious question: do you think Montgomery should play the highest snap count of any NFL RB this season?
When I wrote that, I had no idea it was his ribs yet. Already explained that twice. You just aren't acknowledging it.You said he was breaking down, in response to this rib injury.
You said:
So yeah - that's what you said.
Maybe you should calm down there, captain caps lock? It's just football.
He looks great so far. Love him. I don't see him holding up for 16 games at that usage, which was my stance well before tonight.I think he's looked good doing it so far.
he could carry it less, sure. Mix it up ala other teams.
but that's got nothing to do with taking a helmet to the ribs.
Then why'd you go on to add the ankle? When I wrote that, I had no idea it was his ribs yet. Already explained that twice. You just aren't acknowledging it.
Sorry- that's what confused me I guess. He tweaked his ankle versus Seattle. He played more downs than any RB in the league through week 3. So you really think that is sustainable?!
Whatever happens, I hope he comes back out now. Go Ty go.He looks great so far. Love him. I don't see him holding up for 16 games at that usage, which was my stance well before tonight.
Well, I got caught up because you pointed out his ribs. Then why'd you go on to add the ankle?
Because you quoted me and said
Sorry- that's what confused me I guess.
It was news to me - so thanks for the news!! ?Probably mine too for drinking while posting. lolWell, I got caught up because you pointed out his ribs.It was news to me - so thanks for the news!! ?
My bad for communicating poorly. Shouldn't bother typing while watching the game, working, juggling my nutjob son annoying his sister. My bad dude!
S'why I handcuffed in both leagues.Hot Sauce - I love you like a fellow Kareem the Dream owning brother. But durability for Ty was always the big question mark and the risk in owning this guy. And week 4 he goes down. Just sayin.
jump on JonesS'why I handcuffed in both leagues.
Not loving Williams tho.![]()
and we aren't impressed are weWe'll see. It's been all Williams so far.
true but Ty was running awesome. I guess we will see if he can get rolling. sucks for Ty owners...Not exactly the best OL.
How is it predictable??!!! He took a helmet to the ribsWell this was entirely predictable. Hoped he lasted at least half a season. 3 games? Ouch. This is not someone we can count on season long.
