RB Zach Charbonnet, SEA (1 Viewer)

He didn't look good early and light bulb went off and different back later in the season.

Idk line play, confidence or what but I certainly noticed a difference in him

Yep.
I still think Walker is the lead but this is much more RBBC than the current ADP indicates. At RB42, Char seems like a good bet.

Agree here.

I think he'll have a role. Maybe it's 6-8 touches a week with a healthy Walker. But he's talented. If anything happens to Walker, his value obviously jumps way up. I think once you get into the RB30's, you're looking more for the situation upside.

I think this ADP is likely pretty close to where it should be. hes one of the better backups in the NFL but not quite good enough to force the seattle run game into committee mode.

as mentioned by someone, he has value if he gets handed the job due to injury and likely can be productive if that happens. and that alone is enough to put him ahead of most of the backups in the NFL.

Is he any good? I traded Walker in the only league I had him, so I would love it if Charbs was good, but is he?

Kyle Lindemann
What if I told you Zach Charbonnet had nearly identical draft capital to KWIII, played 48% of snaps as a rookie with a better success rate as a rusher and receiver, has a new HC/OC who plan to be more up tempo, yet is still being drafted over 6 rounds later than his teammate?

Joshua Cho
Walker > for me.

Kyle Lindemann
In a vacuum yes. But if we’re talking about two RBs with very good prospect profiles with similar draft capital with a brand new coaching staff, give me the cheaper guy until we get more clarity on how this backfield is gonna look.

Brady Henderson
Seahawks RB Ken Walker III has yet to practice this week, potentially putting Zach Charbonnet in line to start vs. New England.

In two starts for Walker last year, Charbonnet totaled 157 yards and a TD on 38 touches.

Here was OC Ryan Grubb on Charbonnet and RB3 Kenny McIntosh:

Walker is doubtful and no peeps in here? I think Charb would be around RB 17ish a good mid RB2. Slightly lower than Ford for me, but has good pass catching ability to make him gamescript proof. I think he’s at least a strong flex we all need to consider picking up and or starting.

Well, it's time for all you crazy Zach Charbonnet owners to see what your guy is made of.

Week 2. Fully healthy. Whatever his upside is should be revealed. I think he'll look good and score a Touchdown.

Boy am I glad the owner in my league dropped Charbs during waivers. I was able to get him off waivers as a Walker owner.

Interested, but that whole West Coast team playing on the East Coast thing, plus, doesn't NE have a pretty solid D (feel free to dispute that). I could play him over A. Jones (SF) or J. Ford (@Jax). I see Footballguys likes him this week in the rankings. I'm going to stew over this for the next 24 hours...

Still a FA in my 10 teamer but I can't now drop Jeff Wilson and my only other droppable is Christian Watson...decisions
I’d drop Wilson for him in a heartbeat.

ETA: oh yeah locked from TNF. Doh

Yeah my decision is drop Watson for him or not, all Miami and Buffalo players (Wilson, Kincaid, Wright) locked. Kinda curious to see how things shake out in Green Bay

Do it. Seriously.

Biggest mistake in the draft I made. He was there in the 10th after I drafted Walker earlier. I skipped him. Should have handcuffed. Cost me a win today.

Proving to be a worthy handcuff indeed. I'm going to have to figure out a way to hold onto him in a short bench league even after Walker comes back.

Luckily my team sucks so badly I'll just use Charbs as one of my flexes when I start Walker at RB. OTOH, I guess that's not such a good thing either.

So when KW3 comes back what the backfield split going forward?

60-40 KW3?
Probably a conservative estimate for Walker.

Walker has a much better game than Charbonnet. He's his equal as a pass catcher, a better short yardage runner, and a FAR more explosive player.

70-30 would be my guess. What Charbonnet has done, is he's proven they don't have to get pass heavy when Walker is out, which was a question.

ETA: high-end handcuff.

I think they'll ease KW3 back in when he comes back, but once he's back at full speed, it's his back field. Charbonnet had a good game. Walker would have had a better one.

Never been a Charbs believer, but I'll give credit where credit is due. He made some good plays today and looked better than I've seen him.

Still think Walker is the superior back, but I do think Charbs will be in the picture to some degree.

Reliability vs availability. What do you prefer as a GM? I prefer wins over replacement which is walker but the team will sour on him if he’s hurt when they need him most

Coming out party today. Hard to put him back in the bottle after this.
lol. Here they come. Walker is easily better.

Walker is not in any danger.
Seems like he’s in danger of injuries on a regular basis. That track record and Charbs performance puts him in more danger than you’d like.
That's why I drafted Charbs as the handcuff. But, when both healthy, it's K9 all day.

Definitely still has majority, but “all day” just got smaller most likely.

Don't own Charbonnet this year. I took him as Walkers handcuff last year, but not this year because i didn't need him last year. I'm a huge Walker fan, but that decision has already cost me 2 games this year. Zach looks MUCH better this year, and yesterday he was hitting the holes with authority in a way that Walker, who likes to jump cut or bounce outside, doesn't. Props to Zach on his improvement.

Owned him last year. Watched his games and was not impressed at all. Seems like a JAG. Walker is better, but can’t stay healthy.

Waiting for Walker to come back and see what the usage is. If Charbs is back to sub 25% usage, I'll try to snag him from the owner for cheap to protect down the stretch. Otherwise, I'll leave him be.
