That Jake Bachman sure is an idiot, and to all you naysayers, he is a pretty darn good FF player, just wanted to speed up the draft and wasn't paying attention!!!!
:porked: :porked:  :lmao: Speeding up the draft = preselecting 3 players at 1.06 BRILLIANT
:porked: if you know you want 3 players, but not sure on the rest, yes it is.Parker @ #8 seems early, I would have taken Rudi ahead of Fitz, but the rest of the 1st seems about good enough.Peyton @ 14 is good value. Just noticed that's the same guy with SJax. and he doesn't lose picks until 7/8? How'd he manage that?

Serious question, I did not understand.

Derek Tonn got a very nice deal with Rudi at 1.16.

Bush went a little early for my liking, even though it's PPR.

As a Portis owner I like seeing him go at 1.7 this early in the 'new' season.

Any chance someone posts whats happened so far for those of us who are blocked at work

1 PPR for WRstart 3 WR in a 16 team leaguestart 1 RB and 1 RB/TE (TE gets 1.5 PPR, RB gets .5 PPR)

OK, I understand the PPR scoring and I know that Rudi is not a PPR monster but does it make sense to skip him for a WR?

I'd still take Portis, Parker and Alexander over him, but that's just me.I don't expect Portis' stock to rise much before the actual start of the season. Unless something happens to Ladell, or he gets traded, which I highly doubt.Whose Derek Tonn on here?

With this, if you believe a WR will outscore the RB, and you like a RB you'd get later, it sometimes does. I wouldn't have taken Fitz here, but I understand the thinking.

Interesting....Caddy at 2.03.

Chester is still available. Jacobs, Holt, CJ, Palmer. Completely forgot about Harrison...

what?
Brandon Jacobs, the overhyped heir to the RB position in NY.Dunno if I would've taken CJ and/or Gates over Chester Taylor. His numbers could improve a greal deal with better line and QB play.
I thought you were talking about players you'd take ahead of Caddy. Omar and Taylor are studs...Brandon Jacobs shouldn't be in the top 3 rounds in this league.

I might take McGahee ahead of Caddy, but he's not a bad pick IMO.

I never said he was a bad pick. I just stated that I thought it was interesting to see him get picked over some of the players I listed.Jacobs will probably end up a 4th or 5th round pick anyway. Should go anywhere near the first 2, 3 rounds.

for those interested, i'm brian smith (commish)my strategy so far has been to build a bank of picks in the 40-55 pick range (currently sitting on 21, 36, 44, 45, 50, 53 and 1.02r) this should be a zone that ends the teirs on some top talent at each position (other than rb, :goodposting: )....to get as many picks in the window i wanted, i traded out of the 1.12 to gain an extra early pick and didn't mind doing so because i didn't want to feel obligated to reach for an rb that i don't feel will give me an edge (outside of the top 3-5 picks, i dont see much differnce between rb5 and say rb15, so i'll take rb15 (pick21) and be content)....
I'm very curious to see the result of this strategy. I'm in a 1 player keeper league (forfeit 1st rd pick) and my keeper is Portis, so I won't have a 1st rd pick. We do allow trading so I'm contemplating trading out of the 2nd rd to get additional picks in rd 3, 4 and or 5.

Wow, K.Jones was a risky pick.....
More like mindboggling, considering it's very likely to miss at least half the season. But kudoos for being gutsy lol. Whose the owner of that team?
nuggs
For those of us following along, could I propose that you include the FBG username somehow in the MFL team name so it is easier to tie everything together?
Good idea, I think we need to incorporate that somehow...Im in the league, and I am confused as to who is who stillComfortably numb=Carlos Rodrigues

R Wayne has skyrocketed in every draft I have seen so far. I took him in the 4th last year. I guess thats not happening again. I also find it inetersting that people think Addai was a stretch but nothing has been said about Maroney. There has not been any official word on Dillon yet.

Thanks for the updates for us locked out by the man

In a PPR dynasty, Fitz is a lot more valuable than either of those guys.

They're both a stretch, IMO. Their draft position is based on projected value as opposed to actual value. That's dangerous.

wow, Marc Faletti has Smith, Fitz, and Holt at WR already. VERY impressive. Of course, your RBs could end up pretty thin. You need to find last year's Gore. :goodposting:

What's also interesting is that after 2.14, he doesn't have another pick until 6.14.

He is going to need to trade one of those guys. You cant live with a 6th round RB as a feature back, ppr or not. Does he have a top 2 rookie pick (AP or ML) could be where he is going.

:pickle: I would absolutely take Larry Fitzgerald over Rudi Johnson & Chester Taylor in a dynasty PPR. And there are at least a handful more WRs and/or QBs I'd take over Chester Taylor. Edit to add: in addition to DeAngelo Williams, who I would have taken well ahead of Chester Taylor.

I resemble that remark. In case it helps for the guys following the draft, my strategy is simply this: BEST PLAYER AVAILABLE. I had a "crush" on Maroney at 1.12, but when he went at 1.11, I couldn't decide between Rudi Johnson and Larry Fitzgerald. I REALLY couldn't decide who I liked better. ;) I subsequently tried to see if I could find a deal down a few spots, and Will cut a deal with me to move me back to 1.16. I figured I had a good shot at LFitz or Johnson falling there....though I assumed it would be LFitz. To wake up this morning and see that I, in fact, landed Rudi, I was ECSTATIC! He probably should have been drafted around 1.09-1.11...so to still be there at 1.16, AND get a bump from the 4th and 5th rounds?! ;)Now we'll see who's left for me at 3.16, then my SERIOUS run of picks begins....... :lmao:

Slowly trading my way out of the first 2 rookie rounds to trade up in the vet...I tried for about 2hrs straight last night to get Peyton starting with talking to the 1.09 owner and finally striking a deal at 1.14. I think Peyton was the best value over any of the RBs left and all of the WRs...
