My cousin recently welcomed his son Memphis into the world on July 15, 2018. Unfortunately Memphis' mom (Dawn, my cousin's fiance) passed away shortly after giving birth to him due to preeclampsia. She went into the ER with cramping and never left the hospital.
My cousin Jeff had learning disabilities growing up and had a tough life because of it. Got into some trouble as a kid, but has been dutifully grinding his way through life since the birth of his two older children (Anthony 13, and Elizabeth 10). Their mother is not in the picture and he has full custody of Anthony and Elizabeth. And now he's facing the absolutely daunting task of raising a baby while grieving the loss of his fiance, and also care for two kids entering their teens. Jeff is 42 I believe and works as a mechanic. Dawn is the only mom Anthony and Elizabeth have known so these poor kids are also grieving her loss.
Living paycheck to paycheck as one does, Jeff doesn't have the financial resources to even bury her as of yet. I'm not normally a person who would do this on the FFA but to be honest, knowing the history of this place, I feel comfortable reaching out here.
