ESPN changed the story. They (and Werder) reported that the trade was for a 2009 2nd rounder and a 2010 2nd rounder. Looks like they were OFF -- and by a lot. A quick change of the link and I guess ESPN tries to come out smelling like a rose. They missed this one.Kudos to Schefter for getting the compensation correct (although I guess he failed to mention the 7th rounder). This link says "The Cowboys will give up a first-round pick in 2009, plus a third- and sixth-rounder that year for Williams and a seventh-round pick in '09."espn now saying no 1st rounder involved: http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3643295
Dallas WAY OVERPAID. I guess they felt guilty for the Herschel Walker trade and wanted to make amends. Detroit makes out like badits.
Cowboys still have zero chance of winning the superbowl this year.
that was funny, but even funnier when I stare at the picture of Dwight in your avatar.
what's funny is I do too
