RUMOR from atl radio claimed to be irsay's college roommate. (1 Viewer)

Didn't catch his name as I was a bit away from my car on some monkey bars. But guy said this to the noontime southern yokel guys on 790 the zone (barnhard and durham iirc) said very in a subdued yet assertive manner that he roomed with Irsay in college, has spoken to him in the last 48 hours, and that if payton is healthy, he plays. Period. That irsay envisions a favre/rogers type situation where luck just soaks up paytons knowledge/regimen/shadow for a few years.

My take. He seemed credible. Didn't strike me as a crazy guy or knucklehead. If true this is great news for payton and luck owners. You have to imagine payton will be a much better tutor than favre, as he likely is being groomed to retire in coaching or some front office position in the organization.

Figure if robe lowes tweets have scared any owners you might be able to snaek manning from a nervous owner.

Even luck soon to be owners have to like his long term outlook that studying from one of the greatest ever in innovation and dedication/preparation/toughness etc will make it much less likely that luck pulls a ryan leaf/jamarcus russell.

Rob Lowe.

Radio Roommate.

i'm waiting for Tim Curry to create another Rocky, to give me the REAL scoop.

Than I'll believe.

I would think it would be horrible news for Luck owners as he won't be starting for several years. Sure, it would be nice to learn from Manning but Luck is far ahead of the curve in terms of being NFL ready.

If true I wonder if Luck goes the Elway route?
Frankly, if Peyton is healthy and will play - and this is known at the time of the draft, it would probably benefit the Colts to trade the pick anyway. Problem I see is I'd want Kalil, and I think he's probably going 1.02. Colts could also use Claiborne, Richardson or a slew of others but I'd prioritize the OL if Peyton is playing.

yup. some middle school near my girls VA hospital is near a recently closed elementary school. But they have a rather large area with a basketball hoop, medium sized field (for chipping golf balls) and a very newly put in 'athletic area' with crooked monkey bars, parallel bars, and other near 'adult' sized playground equipment (or at least that can handle the weight. I guess GA middle schoolers are big and fat these days :lmao: ) that is pretty good for agility/balance (for the golf game) Because its behind an old school with no neighbors I can blare some music and stretch out my back on a lunch break. Plus no one can see you back there as the school is tucked back in a near forest. :bag:

How can anyone still not know how to spell Manning's first name correctly?
What kind of lawyer still plays on monkey bars?
Just happened across it looking for a ecluded soccer field to chip/shag balls in. The added ability to stretch out my ####ty back before I go play 9 later was a nice plus. I'll be coming back though when I have time to kill in the area (night court later in decatur) :shrug.Your such a hater you hate on human sized monkey bars? Don't take yourself so seriously. You'll live longer... :banned:

I don't see how this is a good thing for Luck. Luck is ready to play. Plain and simple. Putting him on the bench is a waste.

People will point to Rodgers/Favre, but the more common trend these days is to hand the reins to your rookie more or less from day one. Worked out pretty well for guys like Newton, Ryan, Flacco, and Stafford.

Wow....I remember the days when this would have brought all the hooligans from the FFA in for a visit. Now, not even a chuckle. I miss those days.Grown man excersing on monkey bars is good shtick btw. With tunes blaring. Extra point if you're wearing a headband and sunglasses. This is almost Dwight Shrute like.

1. Favre/Rodgers was a lot different IMO...by the time Rodgers went off the board, most were not thinking "1st year starter" so I think there is a big difference between that and Andrew Luck #1 overall. While most QBs taken at #1 tend to start right away, there has been instances where those QBs did not and they did very well when they finally did get on the field in maybe year 2 or year 3.

I don't have much else, just go with #1 here.

So you are stretching your #### out, on a secluded public school yard...you shooting for a "molester discrimination" suit...i.e. you looked, but did not touch and now are being crucified (if so, I want in)?
