Running a league at work and most sites are blocked (1 Viewer)

Anybody run a league at work, but all the web sites to manage your league are blocked? How do you handle this? Is there anywhere that won't be blocked that we can at least download weekly data to calculate our own scores? Does pfr make weekly stats downloadable during the season?

Lots of solutions. Lots.1. Let your league management software calculate scores for you. Yahoo is free. MFL, Fanball, CBS, ESPN...they'll all do it for a fee.2. Use the newspaper. They still print the stats in there. 3. Circumvent the software your company is using to block your computer. Not recommended, but definitely an option. 4. Wait until after work.5. Bring your laptop. Go to a restaurant or coffee shop or whatever that has wireless access. Calculate stats over your lunch hour.

All those are blocked.

I've suggested that and it may be the way we go. But, it would be nice if someplace, that isn't blocked, let us download stats each week.

4. Wait until after work.
:goodposting:Then what will I do at work?
5. Bring your laptop. Go to a restaurant or coffee shop or whatever that has wireless access. Calculate stats over your lunch hour.
Considering the neighborhood, the laptop would be stolen day one.

I need a CBSSportsline back door because it drives me nuts not being able to access stuff on a lunch break.

I have more important things to do at home.

Actually, I guess if we use a site like Yahoo, I can still have it email results and whatnot to me, right? So, we'd all still be able to see who won and lost from work, but all the lineup/transaction stuff will have to be done elsewhere.

Set up a proxy server at home. That way you are going to your house to get to your favorite ff sites instead of your office.

Where do you work?

We have a few Managers at work that are against FF, so almost everything is blocked. We decided to make our league work friendly (aka lying low): We don't use work email addresses (or any other work resources), all financial transactions are done outside of work (use to collect the money in the office, including transaction fees), and everyone stays off the site during work hours (this is what work frowned upon the most), and let the site handle all FA pickups (use to hand them in, and the commish would email out the results). We also did away with Trading since that is what caused the most discussions at work (we are actually thinking of trying trading again this year after lying low for a few years). It is not a perfect solution, but everyone still has fun. We usually have 12-14 teams.

I was folding up a bunch of slips of paper at work today because we were getting ready to draw the draft order and my boss happened to walk into my cube. He said "What's that? What are you doing? Is that your football stuff?" When I replied that it was, in an exasperated voice he asked me what project number that fell under. I told him I'd ask Jim (his boss' boss, who is in the league) in 3 minutes when I went to his office to do the drawing.
