**Saints @ Colts Official Game Thread** (1 Viewer)

First off, I absolutely HATE starting the season out on Thursday. I work 13-14 hour days and end up sneaking off to watch the game, risking getting in trouble. It's crap.

This year I'm recovering from surgery so I'm not missing anything.

This first game is a great matchup, especially for fantasy owners since we have 2 hyper explosive offenses with average defenses so it should be points galore for owners on both sides. Personally I have Bush, Addai, Colston, and Deuce in a variety of leagues so I'm looking for these teams to rush rush rush!!!

The wait is finally over, but it won't be really real until Sunday morning's breakfast cook up and riding two remote controls for 6 hours!

I understand that in your situation the Thursday game isn't good, but I absolutely love the first Thursday game. Gives me a little taste to stop the jitters and the sweats. Then I have another little taste on Sat with the college games and then I get a full blown fix to put me in that mellow, giddy buzz that is the NFL and FFB season.....I'm getting all twitchy and shaky just thinking about it....

I also prefer easing into the season with a Thursday night tiltas opposed to getting slammed with double digit games all at once on Sunday.

:kicksrock:

I don't care who wins, I just wanna see some football.

(And as a owner of both Reggies in this game, please make this a shootout.)

Its football time boys!

One reason I always have thought living on the east coast would suck is having to stay up until 11:30 on workdays and then having to wait on sunday until 1pm for football to start. I get to come home from work and have football on 30min after I get home monday/thursday and wake up an hour before game time on sundays.

 Living in Europe is nice, but I'm going to sleep ASAP to wake up at 2:30am Friday morning to watch my Saints play.. Generally on Monday nights it's go to sleep at 8pm, wake up at 2:30-3am and watch the "Monday Night" game, then shower and off to work..

Now that sucks. I thought the East coast have it bad with having to stay up late to watch the late games, but that totally sucks. That is like us waking up at 3 A.M. to watch the world cup, that blows. I always fall asleep when I wake up to USA play. I love Thursday football, but I have to become better at scheduling my schools open house, as I scheduled it tonight and that is poor management by me. I have to become better!!!

As a Colts fan, this night is very rewarding! Many years of buying season tickets only to watch some dreadful football. All is forgiven now and I cannot wait for the party to start.

My only regret is having to watch if from Florida as we came down here to participate in the NFFC drafts last weekend.

Oh well, I'll stand and cheer from afar like many a fan tonight!

Go Colts!!!

Colts 34

Saints 27 (9 FG by Mare as I have him in my Main Event league... :deadhorse: )

I hope that everyone on the board is right and it is a high scoring game. Since I have Peyton and my opponent has Addai I am hoping for lots of TD passes!

What does the house think of the Saints' chances tonight? Expressed as percentages, I think it's about 55-45 in favor of the Colts ... but a battle all the way. I'd be mighty surprised by a runaway either way.

80-20 Colts. I'll be very surprised with a Saints win.

Reg-gie! Reg-gie! Reg-gie! C'mon Bush.

I like the Saints to upset the Colts tonight. But, I didn't bet, so lets just have a high scoring game with a lot of big plays.

 Here's to football!

REGGIE, REGGIE, REGGIE, WAYNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!! He will be the Reggie of the night!!! You heard it here.... Wayne is going to have a HUGE game!!

I like Kelly Clarkson as a singer but damn she is starting to inch near the Kelly Osborne category in the looks department.

I hope Mellencamp plays that "This is our Country" song because damn it we never get to hear that song during the football season. :wall:
