Seattle @ SF Part II (1 Viewer)

Some Hawks fans have been saying ...
No, they haven't. One specific Seattle fan that posts here is an insufferable doosh. They rest of us are fairly reasonable when it comes to evaluating our home team.
Funny, I would argue there is a group of Seahawk fans here that ##### foot around these forums constantly acting passive agressive towards everyone, even their own fan base........I think its pathetic.
Who's being passive aggressive? The guy who's hinting about others or the ones who directly call you out? Hint: it's you.
Civil War?

Good luck. I would love to beat the 49ers 3 times in one season.
What position do you play?
12th man!
Then how are you going to win 3 games if only two are in Seattle? Logistics appear difficult.
Perhaps you haven't noticed the turnout of fans at away games. The AZ game in particular boasted a large number who even stayed behind for the NFLN after show. Deion I believe said they'd never had that many fans for any of their broadcasts, and Seattle was the away team.Look, he talks tons of ####. There's plenty to dl him on. But when you do, at least be right. It isn't hard.
There will be more Seahawk fans at Candlestick than 49er fans... Noted, genius.
Please point to where I said anything about outnumbering home fans at the game. Another Professor Smartypants, beating arguments that aren't being made.
So what argument were you making? He said that the 12th man wouldn't be on the road, to which you responded "perhaps you haven't noticed the turnout at away games". I think you're the one making up arguments here.
I'm saying the 12th man shows up at away stadiums. How a genius like you turns that into a claim of outnumbering the home crowd is an astounding feat.

And I'm saying the 12th man will not show up and have an influence on the game based on crowd noise, as the home fans will be louder then the seattle fans. As much as you want to brag about your fans being 'better or louder', SF fans will be louder on sunday. 12th man will not have influence on the game on sunday. Genius.

They'll have some effect, imo. They did in AZ when they were in fact louder than the home crowd most of the night (maybe Cards didn't send a memo). The players notice and have said they feed off it. Guess they're wrong. But whether you agree or not doesn't change the foolishness of taking what I said as "Seattke fans will outnumber Niner fans".

Only three Hawk-centric threads on the first page today at the time of this post. Things are starting to wind down.

Equally foolish is discounting fantasycurse's comment that your best friend imascientist would somehow help 'beat' the niners himself as he is a member of the 12th man. Anyways this is a dumb argument, regardless, I don't think seattles noise at candlestick is going to have a major impact on the game. But yes, seattle fans do travel well during winning seasons.

Not my fault if you want to jump onto as silly an argument as fantasycursr was trying to make.

Seriously, give it a rest - You just like to argue? I didn't say a word to you until you decided to speak my name... & with some ridiculous argument that Seattle fans are going to have an impact on the crowd at Candlestick, this is your argument... Unbelievable.

I guess you would know better than the players how much having your fans at away games helps. Imagine those silly guys in tights thinking they know more than you!

This thread is going really well.
It's going to be awesome to have this on the first page the whole week
I think someone should start a week 16 AZ vs SEA thread so folks can ##### about self aggrandizing Seahawk fans starting yet another thread that they didn't start.

I'm talking about a different thread that was started a week early discussing the Saints game before the Saints even played Atlanta. Started by a Saints fan but attributed yet again to arrogant, attention whore Seahawk fans. That's why I picked a game several weeks in the future. It must suck being wrong so much.

Oh, that doesn't apply here... I'm sorry that I'm not as smart as you.

Actually going to use the ignore feature.

Actually gave very non-homer opinion on page one - About 1/3 of this thread is Sweeney arguing with me, Deacon, ITS, amongst others.

Hey ItS good buddy, what happened with Spiff? I thought you had him on retainer as a thread "ringer". He said he followed you over here, so I'm just askin'. Should I remove him from my friends list? TIA

ETA: I would had sent this in a PM, but maybe your inbox is full?

Man, I've been so busy this week in the FFA Neil Peart thread that I haven't caught up on the internetz about this game. I think I'll go over to Bleacher Report and read about it. Those guys get paid by the gif, and I read articles just for the pictures.

Obviously it sucks so much you have to run away.

Seems like the SP has been dominated by Hawk threads and their fans lately. You have this thread, the SEA vs. DEN SB thread, the Harvin thread, the Wilson thread all on the first page today, and not counting how many others will be bumped, like the SEA vs. NO from last week.

SEA fans sure keep themselves busy here.
To be fair, I went to post in the SF thread yesterday for some good football discussion. This game intrigues me because of the fact Seattle hasn't won in Candlestick in years. Nobody had posted in the SF thread since 11/26. I assumed you fair weather fans didn't care so I started my own thread.

*drummer is not a fair weather fan.
Yeah, thanks.

Sorry wingnut. :sadbanana:

I haven't caught up on the internetz about this game.
You are the" internetz about this game. "

These pre-grame threads on this board are horrendously cringe-worthy.

Why is there a competition to be the dumbest homer? The ITS guys isn't wacked enough; you have to one up him?

WAT. ItS is my friend. That was more about Bleacher Report. ItS can never homer as bad as BR.

Was someone really bragging that they had a lot of their fans at an Arizona game?

That place has been like a home game for many "road" teams for a while.

Dude, that's nothing. Some dude from Bleacher Report posted that Colin Kaepernick has "The Gene". I wonder how much they pay for writing articles like that? Hell if it's good, I want in.

To be fair, he called his shot on Wilson well before the draft and well before he was a Seahawk. I'm a nutty Hawks fan and he wasn't even on my radar. Say what you will, but that was a great call.

Funny how Seattle fans get called out for being ring less lost souls trying to validate themselves but then ending up seeing several examples of the same thing from the teams whose very fans were leading the anti-Seattle charge. The Niners send out a memo to fans to show their support, including when to cheer loud and when to be quiet. The Saints are now having Guiness attend this SNF game to break the indoor dB record (and don't forget KC). Niner fans are trying to put up a billboard half a mile away from the Clink. Niner fans don't care about the Seahawk games yet they chant about Seattle after playing the rams. The Niner fans would have you think there's no rivalry between the two teams yet many Niners have talked this week about how much they hate each other. Etc. etc. etc.

Fans of all teams like to get involved. It's not limited to hapless fools desperately seeking validation.

Yeah, I'm sure he gained a lot of points for that.

There wasn't a rivalry until last December, when our local media was filled with trash talking from Seattle players after they won the game. Seriously, Sherman and Thomas were just making up crap about Harbaugh mocking their bus after Seattle lost earlier in the year, basically saying everything they could to draw attention and put Seattle on the map. Before then, no one in SF cared about Seattle, at all.

And now that Seattle is on top, of course, Sherman pretends as though games against SF don't matter, it's just one game at a time, and so on.

But basically this rivalry was an unnatural creation of Seattle and the media, looking for attention and $$.

I hope for your sake you're just making this up to rile people up and you don't actually believe it

I remember when JT the Brick used to try to create a rivalry between the Raider Nation vs. the Niner Empire lol. The end result: horrible radio you could torture someone with.

Biggest rivalry going in the Bay Area right now: Colin Kaepernick fans vs. Alex Smith fans. They fight each other on Kawakami's blog all the time. Same thing goes on at SF Gate. It's worse than Joe vs. Steve lololol.

@nfl just tweetted that in three meetings this year, the Seahawks have outscored the Saints, Panthers, and 49ers (the 2, 3, and 4 teams in the NFC) by a total of 75-17

That doesn't mean much of anything for this game, but it's pretty damn impressive

The classless threats and photo shop of the plane pulling the Seahawks banner crashing are downright immature and pathetic... when 9er fans come to Seattle, we may rib them a bit but no one stabs or threatens them!

Let's not paint with a broad brush and use the worst 49er fans to implicate the entire town. I don't think that's smart regardless of which end of it you're on (and it's annoying when you're on the receiving end of it.)

I'm not sure which part you contest, but I'm happy to post links of how it all started if you want.

Or you can search the phrase "happy birthday, hope you liked it," to get a sense of the Seahawks' classlessness that we were bombarded with after that game. Or you could search Mike Silver ' hatchet job on Harbaugh after the game. Really I don't think I said anything controversial, at all.

This is pretty much a media contrived rivalry that has its genesis in the Seattle players' trash talking. It feels dirty buying into it.

Right, it has nothing to do with the fact that they're two of the best teams in the league who happen to be in the same division, play a similar brand of football, have head coaches who dislike each other since college, and one team has a couple guys who played for the other coach in college and don't like him at all. Definitely doesn't have anything to do with those reasons, it's just those petty Seahawk players talking trash and the media running with it. Good call.

Of course it was sweetheart. Pretty good job by the Seattle media to get the Niners fans and players to go along with it!

It is, but to put CAR in there is a bit of a cherry pick. The point margin was only 5.

I hope for your sake you're just making this up to rile people up and you don't actually believe it
I'm not sure which part you contest, but I'm happy to post links of how it all started if you want.

Good call.
Let's be honest here. This whole rivalry BS really hasn't started until this season at it's fever pitch. This after SEA being in the division for 11 previous years, and that's not counting the inaugural season of that franchise.

ETA: this isn't an historic rivalry as much as it is a "bandwagon" rivalry at this point. Mostly of fans of both teams who are too young to remember both teams in 2001.

Here's where drummer tells us no rivalries exist that aren't at least as old as their last ring. Gee, I wonder why this rivalry is peaking. Couldn't be for any of the reasons PN stated, given that this is year 3 of the teams' rise to the top with the aforementioned college coaches. So how exactly is anything ninja is saying dishonest or disengenuous considering that nothing he said doesn't apply to the last three years. You really love trying to prove how little SF fans and players care. Maybe this time you won't look silly after those uncaring fans start chanting about Seattle like they did a scant week after you spent so much time "disproving" the rivalry.
