Sell high on Rudi Johnson? (1 Viewer)

First of all, I'm a Rudi owner. I love Rudi. Love the way he plays the game and the production he's always shown.

BUT..... Chris Perry was starting to absolutely kill Rudi's production early last year. Palmer was throwing all over the place, and Perry was on the field more and more, even at the goal line, which was the most concerning. Rudi hadn't done too much last year until Perry got hurt. Once Perry was out of the way, Rudi took off and had the monster year. He singlehandedly vaulted me back into the playoffs, as I'm sure he did with many other owners.

But make no mistake, with Perry coming back soon, he will definitely eat into Rudi's production - a lot maybe. The Bengals seem high on Perry and are getting him the ball on more than just third down. I'm not going to go out looking to trade Rudi, but if someone came to me with a good offer, I would definitely listen.
i will never understand why people cant get past the chris perry thing...i have laid it out in the PS PLAYER SPOTLIGHT but some people just see what they want to see
As I mentioned previously, Rudi only really took off last year after Perry got hurt. You cite all these touches Rudi had last year, and he did, but his touch-per-game ratio went up dramatically AFTER Perry was hurt. You couldn't have watched Bengals games early last year and say that Chris Perry isn't a threat to Rudi's fantasy production. You are WAY, WAY off here.

Rudi just isn't that good of a RB. He gets yards when there are holes and when there aren't he can't create. He's also not involved in the passing game.
I disagree with this statement- I think on a number of other teams, he'd be solid. But with a guy like Carson Palmer and the sheer number of weapons he has at the WR position, I think the coaching staff believes more in their passing game than their running game to get the job done.Considering where he fell to me in the draft (10th overall), I was very happy to get him. But at this point, if I can get another top 15 back in a 1:1 trade, I'm willing to do it.
