Starting Vereen over Spiller at flex.
By this logic every player would be one and donethe tape is out on how to stop him.
Im starting Gio, Murray, and flexing Cutler or Fitz over him (who each avg. about 12 FP/game) standard scoring, 1pt/50yd passing
This is a just a hunch, but hes not a heavy workload guy. If he was getting a guaranteed 15-20 carries a game...sure. Call it an outlier.By this logic every player would be one and donethe tape is out on how to stop him.

Some players are able to perform even while being keyed on. Thats what separates the studs from the good players. Vereen simply hasnt proven he is capable of being started on a regular basis while being the focus of the defense. Therefore i think folks need to tread carefully. If you need high upside, then go with him. If you need a safe pick, you may consider another back.By this logic every player would be one and donethe tape is out on how to stop him.

He was blocking last week. NE was not able to run and threw 55 times, so it's not a matter of Vereen proving anything. Some players are able to perform even while being keyed on. ok. even if its an issue of game plan he hasnt proven hes worth starting as a rb1 or high rb2 in such a game plan. With such a small sample size its just risky. He was blocking last week. And NE had 2 WR's with 10 catches for 125 yards. Teams will have to pick their poison and I believe most will opt to stop the WR's over the RB.Without Gronk the linebackers were just mauling Vereen coming out of the backfield.
I should probably cut Drew Brees then. He will never put up good numbers the rest of his career now that the Rams showed other teams how it's done. It's a copycat league. The tape is out there. I'm staying away but I'm happy he helped me the weeks he did.

Jamaal Charles's tape is out on how to beat the Raiders for 5 TD's.the tape is out on how to stop him.

I am still leaning CJ was well. What are you thinking? (Non PPR)in the same boat...have Gordon/K. Allen/AJ Green...so I'll start those 3 + Gore and flip a coin between CJ and Vereen. Leaning CJ at the moment.I am going to have a difficult Vereen/Chris Johnson decision this week.
Only want to start one of them because I want to start all 3 WR (VJax/Jeffery/Allen).
This is why I'm still going with Alshon Jeffrey over Keenan; the TDs have been there but 4 TDs on 5 receptions over the past two games? Just can't count on that kind of ratio. Now I'm 2nd guessing myself. Keenan vs Vereen. I do strongly believe Vereen has the better chance of having a huge game. Keenans been solid but only 2 catches last game and 3 catches the game before. Yes, all but one of them was for a TD, but that's not sustainable. They both have a lot of e's in their name, but Vereen has the slight advantage there.
Yeah, it would totally suck if he had a game like he had three weeks ago, where he had 8/106 without a TD. Or the week before where he was 9/124 without a TD.This is why I'm still going with Alshon Jeffrey over Keenan; the TDs have been there but 4 TDs on 5 receptions over the past two games? Don't blame you, especially in PPR. Anyone know what happened to Vereen last week? I got blown out by Charles and Tucker so it really didn't matter but he disappeared a bit.Starting Vereen over Spiller at flex.
I would be mildly confident in him. I have him in a 0.5PPR as well and would think high single digits likely. If he consistently got more carries, I'd be very confident. For me, I'm rolling with Morris. Would probably start Mathews over him as well. What's the confidence level in vereen today? I play in a .5ppr and he's played in 6 games posting scores of 16.5, 8, 10, 14, 22.5, and 3. Been solid as hell besides last week. Are people really selling on him cause 1 bad game out of 6? Seems to me to be an outlier and he will be around 10 points again and maybe more. People saying the book is out on how to stop him are crazy. Now the only thing that would really muck things up would be the Pats not using him. ... but they almost have to use him to win today don't you think?
Timing is everything. If he had the 3 pt game 2 weeks ago, he would be a must start. My only other options today are rainey and todman. If mjd is out I am playing todman for sure. If not it's rainey and vereen. Debating rainey vs vereen...tempted to go todman and rainey but rainey had been so up and downI would be mildly confident in him. Definitely a lack of projections with all the speculating going on. There's no baseline. Outside of Todman there aren't a lot of automatic matchups for RB2/WR3/flex options this week. What's the confidence level in vereen today? I thought 10-20 rushing, 60-80 receiving, 5-6 catches, seemed reasonable. I just don't see a lot TDs in this game, but I would expect Brady maybe gets 2 and if so then Vereen has as good a shot as anyone to grab one.
I'm not, but I do think Baltimore is a very good defense at home, and there could be crummy weather, all for making it a pretty low scoring, hard fought affair. Are you guys a little worried that the Ravens will mimic what the MIA Defense did to shut him down last week?
Vereen (very close for me between he and FJax with Lewis under center)
I like him to rebound this week in a tough matchup
Vereen over Jordy
That's the only fear. It's pretty clear that he's a top 5 option in any type of PPR league if they don't game plan to shut him down. I think it's pretty clear that the Ravens will try to do that since he's the biggest threat on that offense right now. The only question is if BB is smart enough to find new ways of using him and getting him the ball. Are you guys a little worried that the Ravens will mimic what the MIA Defense did to shut him down last week?
put most of your effort into stopping Vereen and let the 2 slot guys eat you up... doesn't sound like a good plan. It's a copycat league. The tape is out there. I'm staying away but I'm happy he helped me the weeks he did.
Yeah I guess me too, over Todman, Dennis Johnson, Jennings, Caldwell, Jordy at flex.I think I'm back on the Vereen bus with the MJD/Todman news. Still with less confidence than a couple of weeks ago.
Agreed, makes my decision easier now. Can't risk MJD playing well and Todman doing nothing. I don't have MJD.Yeah I guess me too, over Todman, Dennis Johnson, Jennings, Caldwell, Jordy at flex.I think I'm back on the Vereen bus with the MJD/Todman news. ESPN said Dobson is making the trip to the game, evidently. Still starting Vereen.Must admit that Dobson and Thompkins being out favors Vereen.
Damn. Tough call.
