You know it's a deep pool of songs when Moby Grape goes at 1045.shuke said:1045. Moby Grape - I Am Not Willing
I don't think I've ever heard this until recently. Damn this is good.
Love the jazzy feel.
This should have been top 50. I apologize.
This is amazing -- and one of my favorite performances by Garcia.1055. David Crosby - Cowboy Movie
I realized while I had a CSNY tune on my list, nothing attributed to Crosby himself.
Um, hell yes to this lineup:
Drums: Bill Kreutzmann
Vocals: David Crosby
Guitar, Piano, Vocals: Graham Nash
Guitar: Jerry Garcia
Vocals: Joni Mitchell
Backing Vocals: Laura Allan
Backing Vocals: Neil Young
Guitar: Phil Lesh
The rock historians rave about the first Grape album, but the third one may be even better, and this is its masterpiece. Wilco did a nice cover of it, too.1045. Moby Grape - I Am Not Willing

Link? I'm not a huge rush fan, really only know what I've heard on the radio. This is an interesting choice, given how @Ghost Rider's Rush countdown worked out.

Little known fact is that GR got kicked out of the union for that omission.https://forums.footballguys.com/forum/topic/784227-the-50-greatest-rush-songs-of-all-time-featuring-1-from-the-1970s/?tab=comments#comment-22558489
My comment referenced that he did not put Working Man in his top 50, to the chagrin of some others in the thread.

Nice - I learned about this band several years ago here at the FFA. Their album Strange Geometry is a gem.
Guys, 10,000 is a joke. I just wanted to keep going after I go to 1000.mr. furley said:just realized that if you release one name per day this thread will last as long as the Vietnam war (the whole thing, not just US involvement)

We were just discussing them in Genrepalooza because there's a category there called "Lithium." I called The Vaselines too "twee" for my tastes. I liked the Nirvana covers, though.1070. The Vaselines - Jesus Wants Me For A Sunbeam
I'm sure you've heard the famous cover of this, but let's give credit where credit is due.
God, I've never heard this. This is fantastic. I need to check out more from this album and others.1045. Moby Grape - I Am Not Willing

Easiest choice for this list.
Hi it's me again. I can't get enough of this. This song. This video. The bittersweet nostalgia/melancholy feeling it invokes in me. The way she looks at me at 1:01.1075. Angie McMahon - Slow Mover
I usually post a link to the studio version of these songs, but there's something very poignant about this video. Everyone looks so young. Like I realize I'm old and I want to go back. I don't know I'm so high right now.
it's like the less attractive, but still kinda hot, and most definitely dirtier, little sister of the ATT girl showed up to sing a song directly for you.Hi it's me again. I can't get enough of this.
