I work in a building across from the Vikings' headquarters. Their big Viking boat is across the street from the entrance to our parking lot.

My co-worker told me he read in the paper and heard on the radio that they were talking about moving the Sid Hartman Media Center from the hq to "the building across the street." This is because Ziggy's been hiring so many people and needs extra room.

Also on our floor is a Vikings promotion office. Just down the hall from them, they've been doing a lot of work in another office. So we're thinking (hoping) that office might become the new Media Center and that is where players and coaches would have press conferences and stuff. Does anyone know exactly what the place is used for? It's a longshot, but I could have players and coaches walking by our office on a regular basis

The only thing I heard is that it is closed temporarily while Wilf is making transitions to new employees. They are using the space for cubicles. I haven't heard anything else.

Yeah, my co-worker said Sid was being interviewed on the radio and they asked him what he thought of the potential move. Sid said he didn't like it and is going to try to get them to stay put. I hope they do move it here....

The Sid Hartman Media Center?? Yeah. All that means is they issue every media member a right to be arrogant, a mustard stained tie and a drool bib.

I heard something like that a week ago as well. Why Hartman has a Vikings media center named after him is beyond me. What he really needs is a Center for kissing Knight's & Steinbrenner's ###.

Red thought that he would get on Sid's "Close, personal friend list." Red saw that as being popular in MN, and would increase the likelyhood of getting a stadium. That worked well for Red, didn't it?
