What’s the consensus on these?  Big fan myself

also as added shtick, my mom gave my wife her recipe.  I think the first time they came out a little crisp (I like a softer doodle myself), so my mom told her “the trick is to take them out before they look done”.  Now every time she makes them I repeat this mantra, which does not amuse her

Careful. She's about to reverse the "softer doodle" schtick on you.

5 by themselves but add white chocolate chips and you've got an 8...and in my case, a few extra miles to run  :porked:

how can you really rank wonderful, top ranked cookies?

snickerdoodles are awesome.

great choc chip cookies of all kinds are unbelievable ...must be chewy

oatmeal cookies ..with or without butterscotch chips/nuts ...whatever

dark choc/espresso caramel ...dreamy

no voting for me

Seriously don't know what a Snickerdoodle is. I guess I've been deprived. No schtick, either. Just plain old had to look it up and realized that it's never been in any cookies package, tray, or tin received on my end. Snickerdoodle?

Okay, then. Snickerdoodle it is on the bucket list.

Cinnamon Toast Crunch recently made a limited edition Sugar Cookie version of their cereal.  Mix with a little regular Cinnamon Toast Crush and whole milk, boom, it tasted like a snickerdoodle to me.

It's on mine.

I'm not sure what it is, but this cookie is missing something.  A nut, chocolate chips, a hershey kiss hemoraging out the side...  I can't quite put my finger on it, but I've always felt this way.

Agree. Pretty boring actually. Put a plate of homemade Christmas cookies in front of me and it’s likely the last one I’d grab. Still voted yes though and gave them a 3.

My personal favorite, and one that is a big hit every year with the family, is the peanut butter with either the small Reese's Cup or Hershey's Kiss in the middle. I usually make a 50/50 split. Kids all take a dozen or so home after they visit each year.

Possibly best ever.
:goodposting:

My wife is the queen of snicker doodles.  Virtually any close contact we have gets a batch for xmas, which means our house turns into a snicker doodle factory for all of December.  Me and the kids get all the leftovers.  Can't get enough of them.

"Leftover Snickerdoodles" was the name of my Cake cover band.

I voted no and gave them a 3.  There are worse cookies.  Those fruit bar things, for one.

Mr R looooves snickerdoodles.  He can have them.

You can still vote. No one asked you to rank them, only rate them.

Wait til your wife starts saying the same thing to you

It's both good schtick and good advice.  I voted 8, but if they're crispy they drop down to a 5 or 6.

i gave them an 8 but they have to be soft if they are hockey pucks then you might as well go whistle dixie as far as this brohan is concerned take that to the bank

My daughter really wants a mini golden doodle for Christmas.

She'll have to settle for a snickerdoodle.

Exact opposite for me, brocito.  If they're as rigid as a piece of Spanish tile that means they can absorb at least a good 6 oz of milk each.  That's a win, right there.

Rated them a 6, but if theyre on the crunchy side, and I have a gallon of milk handy, I'd prolly go with a solid 7.5-8.

Big enough fan to, saaay, eat a spicy chicken sandwich whose bun has been replaced by  'doodles (rigidity/suppleness are dealer's choice)?

Voted 7, but my cookie scale only goes from 5-10.  I like them, but they wouldn't be my first choice if offered a plate with various other choices.

Rated them a 9, they are right near the top of my list.  As was said earlier, they have to be soft.  A Hard snickerdoodle is not a good snickerdoodle.
