Social Media Threats to schools, how to take them (1 Viewer)

So my kid just texted me and said that his school had a threat on social media, bay area coverage here:

I'm more inclined to think that if a kid is going to shoot up a school then he/she is not going to post about it beforehand. That said, I pulled him in case that there is even a .01% chance that it is a real threat.

I forgot to add that there are 2 high schools in the town and that they play each other this weekend. Most of the kids have grown up going to school together though so there is hardly a town hatred for each other.

Unlikely real, but real enough that missing a day of school once a year isn't going to cost much.
