Spencer Ware, possibly the new work horse (3 Viewers)

^^^ I've given plenty of reasons behind my arguments. Some just choose to ignore them and/or write it off as "hate" when in actuality, I like Ware. I just like West and Charles (when healthy) too. Mainly, I like the Chiefs running game. Whoever is featured will score lots of fantasy points. But the winds of change were frequent with this situation last season and turf toe (if that is what Ware has) is a strong wind.
The point is that you won't let it go. If he had a runny nose you'd be in here reporting on it. He's a stud. Stop pretending like you ever supported that theory. I hate when people argue against a player but simultaneously hedge by saying "I never said I didn't like him"

i still would like to hear a report denouncing the possibility of turf toe or telling me it's his any toe besides the big one.  It always starts out as "just a sprained toe", then it becomes a sprained big toe, then a coach saying the RB is just gonna have to manage the pain, but will be ok. 3 weeks later after the RB is playing normal, the coach will say, "yeah, he (RB) was dealing with turf toe the past couple weeks.  With turf toe being a newsworthy story for RBs, I don't know why a beat reporter wouldn't want/know to ask which toe it is.
Maybe because it's not a big deal?

Andy Reid adds to my pecisism. As of now, I own him in both my leagues and am starting him in both, but my point is more about ANY RB. If I'm a reporter and a coach who is quoted saying his RB has a sprained toe, I'm asking which toe.  The answer to that question makes it either news worthy or a side note next to ESPNs questionable status

You want a toe? I can get you a toe, believe me. There are ways, Dude. You don't wanna know about it, believe me.  Hell, I can get you a toe by 3 o'clock this afternoon... with nail polish. These ####### amateurs.

I think the injuries to both of KC's starting guards could impact Ware's performance more than his toe. Jah Reid and Zach Fulton starting against JJ Watt - zesty.

It's concerning.  But unless you got another top 5 option to bench him for he should start for you.

Just had a chance to watch the game and Ware was pretty amazing catching the ball.  Obviously that isn't going to sustain at this pace, but there wasn't anything that made me think that with the same RB/LB mismatch they won't do that again.  It wasn't fluky stuff, he was just always open.

Man I wish Seattle had figured out a way to keep him...

KC is probably a better landing spot if JC is cut next year. Hard to beat this usage rate.

I'm a little bit surprised that in the several pages of this thread since Sunday, there hasn't been more (any?) discussion about a guy going 7-129 after having all of 6 catches for 5 yards  in his career before that.

Sunday he must've looked amazing catching the ball.  Before that it basically never happened.  Odd.

FWIW...Ware scored pretty well on the measures I use to judge college receiving.  Volume was the only issue.

Per NFLN's James Palmer (twitter: @JamesPalmerTV), Andy Reid said in a press conference Jamaal Charles will be listed as Doubtful for Sunday

At least one more week for all of us Ware owners to reap the benefits of hopefully another strong performance!!

It's looking like it's going to be more than 1 more week.  Just my 2 cents
Doubtful to Work Horse in 1 week seems like a stretch. I bet the next week it's Questionable or game time decision. When he plays, likely getting a handful of touches for a week or two...I'm well into October and I think eventually it will be a 65/35 Ware until they get very close to the playoffs. Maybe rest Ware some in the 2nd half as Charles gets more touches.

I'm open to trade ideas but at the same time he might help rack 2-3 quick wins to start the season, you'll take that anytime. What happens in week 4? Who knows, but I would enjoy the current ride.

I don't think that I'll even offer Ware in a trade.  His value right now, and potentially the rest of the season is huge.  Like you said, who knows what the split will be once Charles comes back...and then who knows if Charles will be able to stay healthy once he is back.  And, like others have said, will the Chiefs keep Charles next year?  Ware could be a great keeper option for those who play in keeper leagues.

And on that note, just a quick reminder that he is only 1 month older than fantasy darling David Johnson.  With a strong year and Charles possibly moving on in 2017, we could see Ware's name in the top 5 discussion end of season.

He just has to demonstrate that he can stay on the field. He's proven he's a stud already. The Chiefs are 10-1 or something crazy like that without JC on the field. Smart organizations will put that 7+ million they are spending on JC to better use. Maybe a good LB or two and roll with Ware as their workhorse next year.

Another good week and it's going to be tough not to trade this guy. He might  net something pretty big.
The charles owner in my league has slowly risen the trade value.  If I can get a nice wr for him I am gonna bite.  Trying for Benjamin or Hilton

I feel like Ware has potential to be a season long weekly starter. I also feel like there's enough fishy about Charles to think there's a chance he doesn't get quite right. That said, the safe play is sell Ware high and leave someone else holding on to Ware when the committee situation caps him.

Agree

In re-draft yes. Dynasty I wouldn't trade him unless I was blown away.......

Even in redraft, I don't sell just to sell. I want an offer that is good enough to offset the Deangelo Williams like potential Ware has.

I ain't sellin'...I've seen what the RB waiver wire looks like.  One injury to a starter and you're left with scrubs.  Hard to see Ware not having a significant role no matter what.  You don't put a guy like this on the bench.  He's a complete player now that's effective catching the ball and would start on many NFL teams.  Good enough for me.

Exactly. Ware is IN your lineup every week unless and until he shows you he shouldn't be.

I know, but it's a long season. You can't envision Charles coming back sometime in he next 3-6 weeks and cutting into Ware's PT?  I know RB is a wasteland, but it's possible to pair Ware with another player to get a more stable longterm RB commodity.

I do but I think Ware still has value as an RB2 in that case.
