And he's practicing with the scout team? Something is going on with that injury they aren't telling us.I don't see how anyone is putting much stock in Charles right now. It's like buying milk the day before the expiration date from a store whose refrigerators are known to be kept warm.
Multiple serious knee injuries on a RB turning 30 this season and with some mileage, surrounded by odd reports of him not coming along the way folks hoped.
Wait. there's only been one game...I think most of us in redraft leagues drafted Ware pretty low. I got him in the 11 round. At that time he was my 5the RB. He has started since day one and has provided me with a great set of RB's. We start 3 RB's (weird but true) and I have Anderson and Forte with Ware as my third starter. I certainly can't complain even if it is a RBBC later on.
Terry Allen is the only one I can think of with two ACLs, but he was 28 for his elite season.Has any RB over 29 successfully returned to elite status after two major knee surgeries?
2015 weeks 11-17 down? One week against a swiss cheese SD defense really shouldn't be given too much weight.
Not sure about knees, but Curtis Martin comes to mind.Has any RB over 29 successfully returned to elite status after two major knee surgeries?
Because he owns Charles and pissed off he may never be the same back again and Ware is emerging in a big way. That's fine but that's not what you stated in that post.
People value Elliot over Ware because Elliot doesn't have to compete against an all-pro for touches even though ALMO looked leagues better than Elliot last week.
If I knew Ware would be the lead back from here on out I'd rather own him over Elliot.
Honestly, it seems odd to me that you're picking a fight with an RB that totaled 200 yards from scrimmage on 18 touches. How do you watch that and say "I'm going to bet against this guy."
It's the most plausible explanation. I've never seen anyone give people so much #### for what amount to a mid-late draft pick. And again, picking on the guy who was the most valuable RB of the week on a per play basis just seems silly.Because he owns Charles and pissed off he may never be the same back again and Ware is emerging in a big way.
And this is why he will get at least one touch per game after Charles comes backFun fact:
The Chiefs have never lost a regular season game when Spencer Ware had a single touch from scrimmage.
Which, according to Schefter (per Rotoworld), will be next week. And this is why he will get at least one touch per game after Charles comes back
I'll still be starting Ware. Charles' ten touches won't scare me one bit. If he can make it to ten.Yeah so who's starting JC next week when he comes back?
I expect him to split time and touches 50/50 with Ware. So both should be pretty solid as RB2s. Will gladly start him.Yeah so who's starting JC next week when he comes back?
If I was Andy Reid, that is how I would roll too. But Reid is stubborn, and frankly a bit dense, so who knows?I'll still be starting Ware. Charles' ten touches won't scare me one bit. If he can make it to ten.
I guess it all depends on who your other choices are at Rb.Yeah so who's starting JC next week when he comes back?
I don't think anyone who owns Charles really expects him to get going until after the week 5 bye.Yeah so who's starting JC next week when he comes back?
Hope you benched him today ,LOLMilkman said:Yeah I'm thinking closer to 5 touches next week if he even makes it on the field and then 10 the next week. Ware's probably a safe start until after the week 5 bye. Then depending how they split up the work both will be flex starts as the season goes forward.
Yeah...Ware is done. Went from high commodity to droppable.
@ droppable.Probably last week of significance, Charles will be back next week and moving forward from that I expect him to be they guy like he's always been the guy.####, I trade for the guy and he #### the bed.
That's fine with me....I have Charles, too!Probably last week of significance, Charles will be back next week and moving forward from that I expect him to be they guy like he's always been the guy.
Um...You realize the title was from last year, when Charles and West were injured, right? At first the thread title annoyed me because it was obvious hyperbole, now it's a symbol of those in this thread that fell for week 1 overhype...by all means keep the title.![]()
West getting run after the costly Ware fumble...Chiefs can't get Charles back soon enough.
Looks like the time to sell Ware high has come and gone.
You do realize the thread title was from last year?At first the thread title annoyed me because it was obvious hyperbole, now it's a symbol of those in this thread that fell for week 1 overhype...by all means keep the title.![]()
He's not done by any means but Charles does make things iffyPeople are saying that Ware is done after today? 105 total yards from scrimmage on only 12 touches--while two of the main guys on the OL are out--and while Smith had an absolutely terrible game. Yes--Ware did fumble--but he also could have had a much bigger game if Smith was even halfway decent. He was wide open on a couple instances. Put it in perspective--he had 18 more yards from scrimmage today than EE on half the number of touches---and EE put it on the ground twice (and lost one fumble). People calling Ware droppable need to invite me into their fantasy leagues. Lol.
Doubt it. Instead of ware and West splitting snaps it will be ware and charles. He's not done by any means but Charles does make things iffy
