Spiders...I have them (1 Viewer)

So I had a problem early this summer with Wasps on my deck. I went on my deck one day and saw one caught in a spider web and thought, "yeah, get him!".

So I told the cleaners to leave the spider webs alone.

Months later, I have a lot of spider webs but no wasps.

Most of the spiders are the size of a nickle two are the size of a quarter.

Any issues leaving them? Winter is just around the corner. I figure, meh leave them alone they did their job. A little worried about my daughter getting bitten by one but that's not likely to happen considering where they like to make their webs (high and in corners).

Do nothing? Call Woz and sue them?

Where they make their webs is not a factor in them biting your daughter. I'd have no problem killing them, but depending on where you live, they probably aren't poinsonous.

In your area of DC they aren't an issue in terms of venom. However, they will invade your home this winter. I'd recommend killing them now rather than when you scream like a girl in December when one of the spiders falls on your head in the shower.

This is a good point. I didn't think about them coming inside.

I usually let the spiders outside live so they can catch other nuance bugs. Plus they are cool to watch. Once the spiders are in my house, all bets are off.

I have no problem with spiders other than their webs getting everywhere. Cleaning lady is supposed to get those but needs to be reminded.

I have them by the boatloads. House looks like the Munsters if I don't knock down the webs every week. I spray BugFree backyard in bushes. In the grill and in our basement, I've started spraying a mix of peppermint oil, vinegar and water. Works better than nothing, but not as good as the pesticide.

you have cleaners that you have to tell not to clean spider webs high and outside of your deck? I can't get them to clean the top of the fridge without begging.

:first world jealousy:

I don't live in Sacramento either. At least you're really a sheik, though. We can't have the entire internet based on lies.

Leave the spiders alone. They'll hang out in the winter - they;ll leave the humans alone - no worries.

Edit - I am not really a beaver but sometimes I can get really pissed off

Spray some Tyszinacide or whatever the F it's called around your windows and doorways to ward them and other bugs off.

Don't let them soak the walls.

Wait 'til you find out I'm not an anti-Semitic assembly-line enthusiast born in the 1860s

And I'm a crying-on-the-inside kind of clown. Truth be told, I don't cause much chaos at all.

Oh, and burn the house down.
