STAR WARS: Episode 7 (All-Time #1 opening box office.) (1 Viewer)

No spoilers but...

Just saw it at a company screening. So damn good. Guaranteed it will not disappoint.

So great that none of the spoilers have leaked. Good story, acting and effects.

You're all gonna love it. Promise

(Except the most cynical and soulless out there)
I am curious where you or others who have seen it would rank it in the series of 7.

It's crazy. I was looking at the showtimes for this thing and it is being shown 48 times a day at our local theater! 48 TIMES A DAY! That's insane.
around here, there are 3 theaters within 10 miles of one another and between 7:00 tonight and 2:30 in the morning there will be 70 screenings and I believe they are all sold out.

:link: Not because I doubt you; I just want to see the gloriousness of 48 showings.
Regal OaksLook at the Saturday times. It's both 3D and regular combined.
I'm heading down to Neshaminy in Bensalem. Bunch of my friends still live there.
My thinking is that with this many times showing it, and it being not in a big city, I might be able to sneak out to a weeknight showing of it by Tuesday. That's my hope. My new hope.

Having read the OMG BIGGEST SPOILER myself (and if it was true) I can already say that if the movie is done well I would already place it over all 3 prequels and Jedi. IT would be hard for me to ever find a movie in this story better than Empire. I have to see it before I can think about if its better than New Hope.

There's tickets left for the 10PM at Oaks tonight

Was able to get Imax tickets for 5:30 showing on Sat, downtown Toronto. Second row....but I am in.

So the fever is not that strong here.

Guy at work said they aired some sort of PSA about what to do if someone comes in the theater and starts shooting before the movie and two girls screamed crying and ran out, and people cheered. Weird world.

Tough one....

Empire is still tops

New Hope has quality, fun and NOSTALGIA on its side, being the one that started it all, so that's next.

I actually really like Jedi. Always have. The triple cut battle at the end is some of the best movie making action of all time.

I'd put the new one here then. I'll probably see it a few times so we'll see if it creeps up the rankings to be equal to Jedi, which is saying something imo.

Miles better than any of the prequels, and I worked on them so you'd think I might be biased in favor of them...but I'm not ;)

Wow, looks like there's a lot of Philly-area nerds in here.

Seeing it in 3-D in KOP at 8 tonight. Not IMAX though.

I saw they're showing the movie all through the night, there's ones that start at like 4 and 5am.

I'm seeing it tomorrow at 12:30 in the afternoon. Also taking the kids early morning on the 24th since they have off from school.

A buddy of mine saw a screening last week and loved it. Placed it behind Empire and shoulder to shoulder with A New Hope.

Seeing it tonight in my little podunk town in central PA. The theater has one showing at 9:30 but on three screens. I think I'll be safe to get in to at least one of the screenings.

I only see 12.
The link opens up to today's showings. That why I said look at Saturday's times.

LeVar Burton would be ashamed of me. :bag:

I'd have to think that other movies would suffer during this weekend. Is anyone going to fight the crowds to go see Krampus?

I went to pick up my physical tickets this morning just in case. We are going to a 4pm showing tomorrow after school, and I didn't want to deal with anything as we might be in a time crunch. I think today they had a couple special showing of the previous 6 movies finishing with Episode 7 starting at around 7pm. Judging by the group of people milling around that theater is going to smell like a mix of Wookie sweat and Bantha fodder after this 17+ hour marathon.

I've suspected that the people that made the latest Alvin and the Chipmunks movie know it sucks really bad, so this is their way of sneaking it out there so that it gets run over by Star Wars and gets quietly pulled.

good intel here...I don't know if I want it to be better than Empire, I would have to reassess my life/childhood if that were to happen.

And my boss just bagged out of my 3PM on me. That means I'm done for the day, the week, and it's time to get my geek on.

To the rest of you who will also see this tonight - may the force be with you.

Let me get this straight - Han's son who is being training by legendary good guy jedi Luke Skywalker turns to the Dark Side and kills his father?
Glad I saved my money.

If you prepaid for your tickets, you guys know you can use your phones or print them from your emails?
not at my theater....they had kiosks inside the theater where you had to stick your CC in.

Oh you go to tommyboy's BIL theater?! That's stupid, how much could that scanner possibly cost?! I wish businesses would keep up with the times.

Some dooshnizzle on espn radio just let loose what i would assume is a decent spoiler of the movie. He should be throat punched. I guess i go to full media lock down for the next 25 hours.

Heading to wait in line in one hour. Out of this thread until tonight. May get tickets to the midnight showing as well. I don't know the nerddom is high today.

Just called. They said you have to pick up tickets at guest srrvices for the AMC.

Went to the theater this morning and picked up pre-paid tickets before the nerds put down their battlefront video game for the day.

Got tickets for tomorrow. It's like it's 1977 again ... except I won't be wearing Batman Underoos this time!

Going twice tonight, son and family for the first showing, Ultrascreen later tonight. Almost time, so pumped (sometimes it's the little things).

I'm not going until Saturday, but, plan on showing up many hours early to pick up tickets and then get hammered at the sports bar next door.

Anybody have any idea what to expect for lines at an IMAX on Saturday?
