I assume (hope) Grogu tells Luke to keep his weirdo monk #### and pound sand. Go back to the Mandalorian and have adventures man.
I think grogu chooses the armor. And as you get the cut scene with him flying away in Mandos ship you see he also stole yodas lightsabre from Luke since he is savage.

i like that marshall guy he is tough as nails and i am betting he is not dead he only got one to the shoulder and i bet that he will be back and beat that other alien evil cowboy in a final shootout at the kessel coral while the theme from the good the bad and the ugly plays take that to the bank brohans
Bane's a total badass, though, and doesn't need to die before the sequels... I'm guessing he survives.  Too good of a character to kill off.

:goodposting: The next thing you know Jedi's will have to also take a vow of celibacy.

Not a single mention of the GREAT VFX work on young Luke?

Surprising :)

And good things our kids watch it with us to explain who the blue dude was.

Yes, Filoni rules, for sure. Rodriguez can't direct his way out of a paper bag.
Seriously, HTF do they do that?

really well done, although he looks younger than he looked in Jedi...I actually went back to double check...definitely looks younger.
Faces and digital humans are really the final frontier for CG VFX.
for example, water effects, while also VERY hard to pull off, can now be made to look photo real  (like the water light saber fight between Rey vs. Kylo in Ep9!)

but faces….just know that dozens of award winning VFX experts spend months and months trying to get every single thing just right and can still miss the mark. It’s effin hard stuff.

But I think the Luke work in this show is the best and most consistent work done in VFX to date.

Yes, it's wrong of you.  Alternate universes suck donkey - they take away all the stakes and detach viewers/readers because we know we're getting tricked half the time.
Jedi make their own light sabers, so maybe he picks the mail shirt and Luke gifts him the saber.

I just found that Star Wars Minute has an episode for each Boba Fett episode, and a separate feed called Mindalorian.

Yea, it was cool with the Mandalorian and Luke and Grogu and Ahsoka and Cad Bane.  But was it really that good?

The last scene/shootout was awesome and the Amy Sedaris character is funny, but this show is just bad.

what's this now?
Podcast that did an episode on each minute of each SW movie, talking about alternate scripts, who the minor actors were, notes from filming, etc.  I’ve been listening for years and am only 10 minutes into Attack of the Clones, but jumped to Boba Fett, which is one episode per episode.

If you think about the episode as “Tales from Tattoine” or something like that I thought it was excellent. Great fun. If you get hung up on it being a Boba Fett show it doesn’t make sense. But I didn’t care much for the specific Boba Fett episodes so it’s all good for me.

Isn't Bane around 70 years old the the time of Mandalorian though? I am not aware of Duros being particularly long-lived. No way he should be able to make it to Episodes VII-IX. While it was cool to see him, this was one thing that kind of annoyed me about the last episode.

He didn't look a day over 55.

I think 70 is pretty much dead on.  Per Wookieepedia he was born in 62 BBY and we just saw him in 9 ABY.  No idea what their life span is.

How any old school original trilogy Star Wars fan is not enjoying this is beyond me….you sound like crusty old farts complaining about this awesome sauce old school Star Wars goodness.

I am tempted to take out my Star Wars figures, ships  and play-sets and pretend play again.

Can I come play?

Agreed

it’s not perfect but it’s what I look forward to the most each week.

Really didn’t love this podcast. They basically went through and nit picked the entire episode. Sort of negative and not just enjoying this great show for what it is.

Really enjoying The Mandalorian Season 3. Anyone know when The Book of Boba Fett comes out? I hear a lot of hype, interested in checking it out.

I haven't watched yet, but my friend says there apparently was a lot of stuff that they shot that didn't make it into the season for whatever reason.  Seems disappointed with how it all came together.  Still says Obi Wan is everything we ever wanted.

It did seem scattered as a lot of us have said.

I enjoyed the finale.

Robert Rodriguez was a HORRIBLE choice to direct. I was actually thinking "this feels like one of those kids CG movies like Spy Kids or something" as I was watching and then at the end saw he directed and it just fit.

(Yes, I know Spy Kids and the other kids junk he has done thanks to being a father)

Very disappointing after I thought Bryce Dallas Howard did such a great job directing her episode.

The finale was fun but it definitely wasn’t great.  And agreed on the Rodriguez criticism.  The action scenes in all of his episodes looked pretty janky, but at least nothing in this episode was as bad as that car chase scene in the earlier episode, which was Jar-Jar Tier bad.

So the dark saber couldn't penetrate the force field and then it could?
I thought that was one of the things that went really well. They clearly showed the Droid shift power to the front side to fend off the Rancor.

I’m convinced some of you will never be pleased
Yeah I mean...it was a great 7 episodes of Star Wars with cool Star Wars stuff about characters I liked learning more about (although I could have done without the weird brightly colored hover vespas).

The Naboo starfighter is dope. The Rancor was freaking cool. Double Beskar jetpack fighters was cool. Krsantan is a monster. Gorgu doing force things is amazing.

I was satisfied. The high points were good enough to make the season enjoyable overall. I'd be fine with no more Boba Fett seasons though. It was an interesting character to explore a bit more, but one season was enough.

Thought it was pretty bad overall. Story never made sense. Changed boba fett to a totally different character that didn’t make a lot of sense.  Could go on, but I wont.

Eps 5 and 6 were really good though. Because they were different shows basically.

Would be curious to hear what this was if can be shared.

Yeah, overall....it was just kinda meh. The mando episodes were obviously the standouts. I actually liked most of the action in the finale, but the Boba character just didn't do it for me.

Wouldn't mind seeing more evil Chewbanks

okay, another plot question

why the friendly fire on the Rancor?  because he was climbing buildings?   It kind of pissed me off...I like the Rancor.

For most of the season I was good. Not the best but not bad. But the directing of this last one was horrible. Whomever thought it was a good idea to let Robert Rodriguez at it should be ashamed of themselves. It was bad.
