Starting WR Chris Henry (1 Viewer)

I'm thinking about starting him as my flex in one large PPR league. (Have some injury/bye week issues.) Anyway, the Bengals dropped Watson to activate him. Palmer looks like he's a go this week. The Bengals will likely be playing from behind and throwing quite a bit. I see from some other threads that people are considering it. THoughts on how Henry might perform his first week back?

You just never know, but honestly with Palmers health and the little amount of work that they have had together it seems like a stretch. But they have a history, and it is certainly plausible.

I'm a huge fan of Henry's on field talent, but given it's his first on field action of the year (probably limited snaps) & the uncertainty surrounding Palmer (keep in mind Johnson, another deep threat, has done nothing this year), I'd keep him benched until we see how Palmer is.

He's on my waiver wire and his jumping ability (not bail) is proven along with his size. I'm thinking about dropping Driver for him as Jennings is the man in GB and Rodgers is not 100%.

Ryan Torain

I picked him up in week 2 planning for further down the road but I needed to plug him in this week. In a 14 team league with Boldin out and the bye week, my choices were Henry, Heap, and Mike Walker

Not expecting much but hoping for a TD with the Bengals throwing from behind all game.

Wow i hate to say this but I might start him along with Chad Johnson this week. I'd like to think someone besides Housh will get in the end zone. Desperate times call for desperate measures. After seeing what Phili did to the cowboys pass D i'd like to take half of that with Palmer. Please Palmer be healthy. If Fitzpatrick starts im going to re-think this.

IF Palmer starts the more I think about it the more I think Henry can put up some numbers.

A) Remember he was with the team during all pre season = should be no adjustment time

B) Only Perry and Benson at RB and Cowboys should be lighting up the scoreboard like a pinball machine = Bengals should be throwing ALL game

C) The on field talent is there

Didn't he have 4 for 82 his first game back last year? It's a risky play if you have a better option go with it but he could have a decent day.

You have the issues with Palmer's elbow (great if it feels better, but it didn't just disappear overnight). An obviously rusty Johnson hasn't perform to date, I can't see Henry doing too much either.

i wouldnt start him this week given any reasonable option. hes been on 3 of my teams for 2 weeks now so i think he will produce after some time with palmer. also, we only have 5 reserves so that should show how high i think of him.

Maybe rethinking this a bit. I also have Sidney Rice and may roll with him. Henry just seems to produce, somehow, someway though. I'm still tempted to plug him in.

Depends on your opponent. If you think you're going to win, go with a safer option. If you're a big underdog like I am, you go for the home run and start Henry (and Carson). I see the Bengals as huge boom or bust guys this week, with the likely outcome being bust.

If you are even considering Henry (as I am) its not a brilliant move, its called desperation. SOMETIMES, however, even a blind squirrel finds a nut..... crosses fingers....

I was stringly considering starting Henry this week, but I'm leary of Palmer's status. Even if Palmer plays, I'm not sure he'll be able to make all the throws, so I'm benching Henry for Matt Jones.

dallas is playing killer keith davis and courtney brown at safety.

newman is questionable with a groin injury.

plus even if dallas gets up big, they'll allow cinci to dink and dunk a last minute drive.

go for it.

non-existent so far :coffee:

took the chance with Boldin out and a soft matchup for my team. But a goose egg is not what I thought. But my options were James Hardy and Miles Austin, rest are on bye. Fingers crossed for a few points...
