Stock Thread (21 Viewers)

Bought 500 shares of NVDA in 2010 at 23 based on an FBGs analysis of the stock. I think it was DD. Wandered down into the teens, maybe even single digits. Maybe a year later, I sold it when it hit 23 just to get out of it.

Sigh.

You know anything about $AYRSF? SPAC that consolidated 5 companies about a year ago. MSO in Massachusets and Nevada as of now. Per the earnings call this morning looking to acquire their way into new markets by the end of the year. Seems like a well run business, but I wouldn't consider my due diligence "great".
No, sorry.  My "best in breed" is Valens Groworks and I'm severely underwater on that one.

Who is still holding BLMN?

This is looking the highest close this stock has had in over 2 months. I know intra day it touched 13.50 and change a few weeks back.

I am starting to rethink the 13 target.......mmmmmmm. 27% inside a week is nice. But this can be breaking out to new highs here in the next few days.

Mmmmmmm
Still in @ $8.80. Was tempted to dump it a few times but haven’t sold anything yet.

I quelled my itchy trigger finger yesterday and am still holding.  If it gets up to $12 I’ll probably pull the trigger.

Similar to BLMN, I'm still holding MGM.  Pushed up to the $16's and feels like it is putting in a higher bottom too.  Feel like we are close to a Vegas opening announcement which could give it another boost (pure speculation, I know nothing).

Yep, I remember buying it around 12.  Sunk into the single digits and I got out for a small loss.  I get sick to my stomach when I look at the price of the stock today.
I hear ya. Like I posted pages ago. Back in the late 90s I could have easily sunk $10k into AMZN.

looking for some advice from a seasoned vet

made my first mistake ( im sure there will be plenty more)

I bought SRNE last week @ 8.20

now its sitting at 5.11 and hovering around that range all week.

Should I cut my losses and sell or hold out and hope for a rebound with some vaccine news release?

thoughts? thanks

Heck it was just 8 years ago in May that FB IPO'd at $38 a share.  I sold the majority of my shares at $43 on the day it was issued.  It trickled down to $19 and has been on a skyrocket ever since.  It just hit an all time high yesterday at $237.

I remember folks on here making fun of people investing in FB.  Really wish I would have held those shares.

:hey:   Never imagined people would use that garbage and that the fad would wear off.

I've never bought a share a FB and didn't believe in it either.  Still seems to me like it has a shelf life to me.
That's what I was thinking. I based it on the lack of today's young humanoids being able to maintain interest in something for a timeframe over a few hours.

Draftkings is dipping below $28.  I'm torn whether to buy.  IPOs often are bought speculatively like a shiny new toy and then sold when the stock starts going down.  But Draftkings could be different.  George Soros, Disney, and the NHL have all invested.  That should give it some stability and respect.  And investors are often gamblers and people like to invest in things they understand.  But I think I'll still wait awhile.  It has the potential to drop to $15.  But I definitely want it as part of my long term fiendfolio.

I’m letting it ride. It’s so little that I want to see what happens. I definitely wouldn’t put in another penny. I’m sure we’ll be screwed but what the heck. I wonder what it will look like in my account and if we’ll get a coupon for free coffee in the mail or not.

Facebook doesn't need teenagers.  It only needs them to adopt it when they get to their late 20s.  No woman can resist being on Facebook when they have kids.  Or cats.

Now it's full of a bunch of crazies who think Zuck is out to get them because they take down the random #### they post as fact because it was on the internet.

JPM, ROKU, or DFS buys at this price?
JPM and DFS are long term values here.

Buy

ROKU I have no opinion but I am researching this one.....seems like it could be the winner in the “Cut the Cord” platform.

:lmao:  You might need to be a just a little more patient. It's IPO price was 20 and it opened at 26.20. It's going to wobble for a while. This wasn't a quick trade for me - I'm actually waiting for them to allow options so I can sell puts for my next third.

Someone please explain how I correctly put in a limit order for an IPO (NARI)... if I don't care what it opens at and want it at whatever it opens at?
